《Retsuken Word》Chapter 11 Looking for Food

"I thought I had run away" Tom Summer thought.
The wall of cars did not allow zombies to leave this area. For some reason he didn't understand, this wall of vehicles blocked the dead end, as if they were trying to build a dam.
….
I ran block and 1/2. As fast as the fastest runner in the world and that only because he was a giant.
The closest buildings to the university were 5 or more floors, while the buildings when looking for the exit from this street were one floor. Although I could still find some with two or three floors.
I decided to go up the emergency stairs of a 2-story building. Although it was more like climbing it, since it was no longer compatible with my anatomy. So as not to stay with these monsters on the street. They were like ants to me, and I felt like I could step on them at any time, but the problem was that thousands of ants can still kill an elephant.
"Boom boom boom!" I looked and saw a sea of fire, which flooded the street that came from the University, while the parking lot in front of it exploded with flames.
I sweat cold, since I was there a few minutes ago.
…..
Tom noted that the large buildings around the university had a force field, while the 2-story building he just climbed had no protection like that. This building was heating up from the sea of flames coming out of the University. This wave of fire was starting to reach the height of the top floor. Where he currently was, which means that all the zombies that were at street level were roasted to death.
…
So I had no choice but to run to the back of the building, it was when I saw that this side had a third level, although with my height it was not a problem, with the impulse of a jump I went up to the third floor, when I got there At the edge I found the red streets and a huge plaza with red cobblestones everywhere, reminding me that I was facing the Civil Square which is noted for its many beaux arts style government buildings and performing arts venues.

In other words, if we weren't in a zombie apocalypse, this square would be packed with people like grains of sand on a beach. However, instead of thousands of zombies, it seemed like battle royal had taken place here.
Who knows what the hell happened? Since the zombies were gathered in small groups devouring the remains of different human beings as if they were tribal groups.
From what my mind told me: that it would be impossible to get through this tidal wave of zombies. if I tried to cross the square. So, I started looking everywhere, to see if I could find a better escape route, so when I looked back I realized that the flames had stopped.
“Groar groar! “My stomach was growling. With this discomfort I wiped the sweat from my forehead, I noticed that the sun was hotter and that it was bright blue and that its position in the sky now was about two in the afternoon according to my calculations.
"What day and what time will it be exactly?" I said, trying to remember how long it had been since I acquired my powers.
"Ding! It's 1430 hours on May 1, 0051" said my Omnivaiz.
"Why are you directing words at me until now?" I Said.
"I'm just a guide, not your girlfriend!" Said the Omnivaiz.
When I heard this, annoyed I said:
"If so! How the hell do we end a zombie apocalypse?
"Lara created us to help users, not to prevent or stop the desires of users' hearts, as you know: 'With great power comes great responsibility' as Franklin D. Roosevelt said." Said the Omnivaiz.
"Hey, wasn't it Uncle Ben from Spiderman who said that line?" I Said.
“The phrase was actually uttered on April 11, 1945, when Roosevelt addressed the American people! And where Franklin D. Roosevelt was Stan Lee's hero." Said the Omnivaiz.
“Wow! I didn't know. Thanks for the history class, but I have some serious problems, I need to change my size to an average human size. I need food to; you can give some ideas?” I Said.

"Processing!" Said the Omnivaiz.
“Bip bip. Ding! According to Saint Google Map, the second building on your left is an American Hero center!” Said the Omnivaiz.
I looked to my left and saw the second building which according to my calculations must be 5 stories tall or more. Where the word 'TRUTH' was drawn, in large letters and on that same wall, I could see several windows, where one was at a height of at least 3 meters high. Just enough to get in, somehow.
Then I remembered that in this building on the first floor, that was on the street to the Civil Square, they used it as a kind of supermarket for nutritious foods, for people who had low wages and incidentally support American farmers; collaborating to place their products.
….
"Ha ha ha! Thanks for the food!" Tom said, although he knew it would be more complicated than it seems at first glance. Since he had to enter an unknown building. The best thing would have been to enter through the main entrance that is on the first floor. However, zombies are a situation that he wants to avoid at all costs.
….
By my calculations, I'm entering the back of the building from above. In addition to not only is the nutrition center, in this place. According to my memories, there are also other businesses, and to put the cherry on the cake, on these floors there are apartments. I hope I get lucky and find some way to the first floor, where all that delicious food is waiting.
I took a deep breath and asked the Omnivaiz:
"What happened to my size?"
"After looking at your stats, you should wait until you reach level 5 to use your compressed version of Magic Razanandrongobe." Said the Omnivaiz.
"I already knew that, now I need a better solution, right now I can't wait to get to level 5!" I said.
"The other solution is to say the word 'Meta gen!', with which you will be able to deactivate your transformation from Magic Razanandrongobe, Humanoid version and transform into the human version of Magic Razanandrongobe.!" Said the Omnivaiz. If you're wondering what the Magic Razanandrongobe is, it was the race that Tom Summer copied from the Mega Crocodile, which was in the University's Olympic pool somehow. Before escaping in a spit of this creature when escaping from being eaten.
…
Involuntarily my face wrinkled, as if I was smelling poop and I said:
"What is the difference?"
“If you look at your status you can see that some of your stats are in parentheses, when you become a Human the numbers inside the parentheses will become these stats, an example: your current strength is 155 pts, but when you become human your strength will go down to 65 pts, and even though you lose a little more than half of it you are still stronger than an average human whose strength is usually 10 pts.” Said the Omnivaiz. Hearing this I was pleased.
I went to the window of the building, when I got there I looked inside, I saw a white door and on the sides you could see a bathtub, and to my luck it was empty.
So, I opted to rip out the window frame, as smoothly as possible, because I didn't want to alert the monsters, which could be inside the building or on the other side of the door if there were any.
I half put my body in the bathroom, as far as it fits; while more than half of my body was out of it and said:
“Metagen!” Then green particles surrounded my body and I returned to my normal height.
I opened my inventory to take out the metal tube and then I saw the blue gift box with the blue ribbon.
I went to the door and locked and opened the blue gift box.

The Core of a Factory
An abandoned steampunk arms factory, in the middle of a conflict torn former state of the Empire it served, gains a soul. This transforms it into a Lord, capable of turning land into power. Beset by enemies on all sides it must figure out how to win the war its creators lost a century ago. This is a progressive Dungeon Core novel (which is to say the core will progress and expand in scale, eventually) across multiple dimensions with different characteristics (e.g. steampunk, magic, mythological). It has rationalist leanings (paragraphs of reasoning) and litrpg leanings (there are stat blocks). The core game mechanical idea is something like "what if different flavors of magic power actually did come from controlling land" and then the story is: "what if there was a flavorless (artifact deck) dungeon core". Chapters will be relatively short (my aim is that in three column format each would fit on a wide screen monitor), the first few chapters - setting up the main character and mechanics - are currently the longest in the entire series. I write chapters in blocks, and then release them one a weekday (M-F; 6 PM GMT, unless RoyalRoad's publish thing screws up) until I run out. There may be a few days of gaps here and there if someone finds an egregious error I have to re-write around or if I am behind. In general though one can read this once a weekend. I may do slight retconns and edits, I'll make sure to put it in an authors note if I do.

My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run.
