《Harry Otter and the Harmony Fangirl》Chapter One — Amelia

Amelia Bones had an eventful week after Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban, a first in the infamous prison history. The fruitless manhunt that followed drained her; still, she was drowning under paperwork and letters of concerned citizens.
She braced herself, readying herself to read and bin one such letter before sending back her prepared standard reply.
⌜Dear Madam Bones, Head of the DMLE,
Presumed dead Bartemius Crouch Junior is still alive and currently detained at Barteminus Crouch Senior place, constantly under an Imperius Curse cast by his father, watched by the family house-elf, and concealed under an invisibility cloak.
The person who died at Azkaban inside Bartemius Crouch's cell is Mme Crouch under polyjuice, as she exchanged places with her son as the Crouch visited her son the very day of her death.
Though I would rather not force your hand, I would advise assigning Aurors to Barty Crouch Senior anyway under the guise of protecting him. Cause if you failed to uncover his crimes for too long, I am afraid I would have to take the matter into my own hands.
Best Regards.
Your Vigilante.⌟
Instead, she found herself reading what might be the craziest letter she had ever read in her life. Since she was the current head of the DMLE, she could not rule the letter out as a joke, especially since it targeted its former head.
She could almost feel the maddening laugh of whoever wrote this letter as she could not ignore it nor do anything without playing their hands.
Yet the facts were oddly specific, and the threat to Barty Crouch's life was enough to place him under protection and uncover any crime he might have committed.
Of course, the trick was that Barty Crouch had every right to turn down the offered protection. But if he did so and the Vigilante's threat was not empty, the former Head of DMLE would be as good as dead.

Though there was a roundabout way to deal with that issue:
She could put the entire neighborhood on watch and erect special wards to detect the use of unforgivable curses. That way, she could prevent the Vigilante from attempting on Barty Crouch's life or arrest Barty Crouch for using the Imperius Curse if the letter claims were true.
With the current threat of Sirius Black, it would not be hard to convince Cornelius Fudge to sign all the relevant paperwork and then form an Auror squad to deal with the issue.
§§§
Forty-eight hours later, to Amelia Bones' horror, all the claims of the Vigilante had been proven true. Then, Bartemius Crouch Junior received the dementor kiss only two hours before, and Bartemius Crouch Senior's expeditious trial sentenced him to Azkaban for the remainder of his life.
The Daily Prophet had been in uproar at the scandal. Even more, Mme Bones had no choice but to reveal her anonymous source and admit she had no idea who the Vigilante was or their motives.
She tracked the letter back to the owl post. But it was a dead end as the owl post officer claimed that a little brunette no older than seven-years-old paid upfront and in cash to send that letter and that he had no idea of her identity.
So the little girl, whoever she was, was probably coerced or paid by the Vigilante to send that letter. And if that person was so thorough and paranoid, they probably obliviate the girl afterward, too. She still asked an Auror to draw a police sketch of the girl, just in case.
The Vigilante would have to wait. Sirius Black was still the number one priority, though Mme Bones was already suspecting the two were one and the same.

What Lies In Between
Earth is on the tail end of its recovery after suffering near-apocalyptic events. Catastrophic storms and sudden, dramatic shifts of the tectonic plates almost destroyed modern society. A Fate Set in Stone (On Hold)
After dying and making his way into the afterlife, our protagonist happens to have a stroke of good luck. With the help of the substitute god of death, he's given a second shot at life in a world run by gods who probably played too many video games as kids. Monsters, magic, dungeons, bandits, and all that good stuff is there, except it turns out to be much different than Jed initially expected.(I picked some generic tags since this is my first story and I am not 100% sure where it is going to go. Mature warning is only there for some less-than-polite language.)
