Mei finds her footing, but is unable to put much weight on her injured ankle. As she leans on a nearby tree, she spots Kenji laying on the ground. She pushes off the tree, trying to get some momentum and makes her towards him.
"Are you okay?" Mei said.
Kenji rolls and slowly rises to a seating position, using his left arm to lift him up. His attention turns from his shoulder to Mei and her swollen, bloodied ankle. "Yeah, I think so, but how's your leg?"
"Not sure, but at least it's not broken. I got some deep cuts around my foot though. Here, let me help you up."
"No, I can manage." Kenji said as he put weight on his right shoulder, dropping to the ground after it made a loud crunching sound. Kenji screams in pain as he rolls over, grabbing his injured shoulder. "Never mind, I think it's broken."
Mei crouches to the ground, reaching out to touch the shoulder, but didn't want to injure it further. "What? Oh no, I'm so sorry."
"For what? You didn't do anything."
"If I didn't choose to hide there, this wouldn't have happened." Mei said while staring at Kenji like he's on his deathbed. Which wasn't far from the truth.
"That's ridiculous. I chose to attack the troll.”
"Still…"
"Really, it's no problem. I actually do this all the time." Kenji said, struggling not to cry from the pain.
"Really? You battle Trolls in unknown forests often?"
"No follow-up questions, please." Kenji said, sounding like he was holding his breath. As the others quickly join them, Ito and Chung couldn't hide their shocked reaction when they see Kenji's broken shoulder nearly piercing out of his skin.
"Whoa, gnarly." Chung said, squatting down to examine it. But as she slowly inches closer to poke it, Mei swiftly swats her hand away.

"I think I'm going to be sick." Ito said while he covered his mouth while turning away.
"It shocked me when you did that?" Sungwoo said.
"What do you mean?" Kenji asked.
"Well, when the wolf approached us, you were shaking uncontrollably. So I assumed you were a timid person."
"The wolf didn't make me shake. It must be cold out here."
"Really? I think it's pretty warm."
At that moment, Kenji understands why Hiro was so impatient with Sungwoo.
Ito gazes at the bear-like creature, as his eyes grew in excitement, quickly turning to the others. "Guys, don't you know who that is?" Ito said while looking at them so enthusiastically, it almost made them feel bad not knowing the answer.
Hiro joins the others, seeking to find a place to sit. He settled for a flat rock as he sat down and dusted himself off, checking the damage to his burnt arm, his bloody head and bruised leg. As he stares at his wounds, he then closes his eyes, wishing himself out of this place, trying to forget he was ever here.
"Don't you remember?” Ito asking everyone. "That's Lemir. He comes from a race of Arthmons that rules the Great Mountain Kingdom of Vafbera, but we're in Silvawlian. I wonder what he's doing out here."
"Is this from the show? Because I've actually never watched an episode."
Ito gave Hiro a scrutinized expression, like someone would give as they stare at someone that farted at a dinner table. "You've been in this show for years now, and you've never watched an episode?"
"Trust me, I'm not the only one, right?" Hiro stares at the others to confirm his assumption.
"I've only seen a few episodes. Most of what I know is from the script, but only from my scenes." Mei said.

Ito glances around as everyone admits the same thing.
"I've only watched the episodes you showed me." Kenji said, trying not to make eye contact with him while Ito shook his head at Kenji.
"You disappoint most of all. Well, lucky for you all, I have all the episodes downloaded.”
"That's actually pretty cool. What better time than now to catch up on it?" Chung asked.
"Wow, you guys are nerds. You're going to watch the show at a time like this?" Hiro asked.
"Why not?" Kenji asked.
"Because. I don't know, it's just weird."
"No one asked you to watch it." Mei said.
"Maybe someone should ask that bear if he wants to join in too." Sungwoo said as they all turn their attention back to the bear-like creature.
The Arthmon stands back up, now covered in a heap of the wolf's fur. He dusts himself off and immediately turns his attention to them with a scrutinized expression. Kenji glances up to see a seven-foot bear rushing toward him. He doesn't run as he remembers the bear saved their lives and if he wanted them dead, he would've let the troll handle it. As the Arthmon stands behind all of them, everyone instantly backs away. The bear stares at them with such intensity it makes Kenji instantly terrified. "Where is it?" Lemir asked.
"Where is what?" Kenji was not in the proper mindset for tough questions.
"Don't play games with me, boy. Where's the book and the scepter?" Lemir asked. But as he looks away from Kenji and focuses closer on some of the others, his eyes grow with confusion. He slowly rose back up and took a step back, whipping out his wand to defend himself. Everyone began looking at each other, confused, not making any sudden movements, scared what he might do next.
"What are all of you doing here? I saw all of you die."

MeiQ: Lore of the Labyrinth
Omaros City lays near one of several Yggdrasil trees that are scattered around the world. Each tree holds an entire labyrinthine ecosystem within or beneath it, yet the mysteries of their origins and what lays in their depths are only ever unraveled by the most skilled and courageous of explorers. Exploration of Omaros' Yggdrasil labyrinth is still in its fledgling stages, drawing in many with the allure of fame and glory that has yet to be claimed. Enter the harbinger Dubhan—cheerful, determined, and not terribly skilled at thinking ahead—and warlock Allouet— intelligent and resourceful, but desperately in over his head. Together, the two of them have half an idea of what they're doing at best, but that's not going to stop them from aiming for the labyrinth's unknown depths. MeiQ is, at its core, a fanfiction inspired by the Etrian Odyssey franchise, alternatively known as Sekaiju no Meikyuu in Japan. Despite that, it is written with the intent to be enjoyable by those unfamiliar with the series as well. The characters and the city of Omaros are original, while the story draws upon lore and recurring concepts from the game series. However, Etrian Odyssey is known for its lore being sparse and open to speculation, so much of the details provided in this story are exactly that—a fan’s speculation and personal expansion of the lore. This story was also inspired by and written as part of HereBeTreasure's Fast Food Frontpage Competition, enjoy some simple dungeon exploration plot and whatever else pops up from this.

His house was beyond fun and games during the summer for a young girl who was taught to love adventures. Now years later she is about to find her own way to adventures she never dreamed of. And maybe, never wanted.

I, Mor-eldal: The Necromancer Thief
As a budding little necromancer, I soon discovered that the world of city people is complicated. When my master kicked me out of the cave, he warned me not to talk about my “dark” magic, because people here don't like the undead. I am not really an undead, I just have a skeleton hand, but it is better to be careful. Anyway, that's not my biggest worry. In the Black Dagger brotherhood, I learn a lot of things, such as illusionist magic, which turns out to be quite handy to survive in this maze of streets: in the Cat Quarter, we have thugs of all kinds that are best avoided. But we also have good people, goodhearted “gwaks”, as we say around here. Little did I know that I would soon be caught up in an infamous traffic that would entangle my life even more. With a mix of lighthearted adventure and picaresque, this story narrates the hectic life of a good-spirited street child and his companions in a medieval urban fantasy setting with some nineteenth-century influences. Updates Mondays and Fridays. This is a Creative Commons By work. It is a translation of a trilogy I wrote in Spanish between 2017 and 2018.
