《Gods among gods》Chapter 11 - Towards the castle

It hadn't taken them long to get down the hill. Mikah noticed that his body was strong and agile and he didn't tire easily. He had changed a lot from the weak body he had before falling off the bridge. When he concentrated, he could make his movements precise and his arms and legs had a coordination that he had never felt. With his immortal eyes he saw everything differently, he could see the faint "aura" of things and he also saw how his own aura became stronger as soon as he concentrated on some act he had to do, but his aura dissipated much more quickly than in the earth and seemed weaker. He looked at Deom who was walking purposefully ahead and noticed that his "aura" extended only a few meters beyond his body when before it seemed to encompass the entire sky.
-The "aura"... seems different here -he mentioned as he dodged a rock and looked at his hands noticing that his aura seemed weaker and even disappeared at times.
-So you've noticed!... you see -he explained- when we are in a world created by another "immortal", we can use only a fraction of the aura we have in ours…. Hmmm. In simple words, almost everything here is made of aura. Except for some living things, almost everything you see around you is made up of "aura". Specifically from the "aura" of another, and in these worlds ours is quite weakened. The powers we have here do not compare to those we have in our worlds, that is why we cannot fly, or teleport. The rules in worlds like this one are imposed by their creators.
Mikah deliberated for a moment on what he had heard.
-Could we die here?
Deom hesitated for a moment, then answered with a shrug and palms up.

-We can only disappear in universes that are not ours. Reality control becomes difficult in them and we are more… vulnerable. -he paused as he turned into a dirt road -But you don't have to worry about those things here. Ava is my friend, and this is her world.
-Ava is another immortal? Mikhah asked.
-Exactly, turtle. She lives in that castle on the horizon that we saw from the hill... she likes being a queen for some reason -Deom stopped and took his chin with his fingers looking up- Even immortals have earthly desires, I suppose. Ava was a mortal woman before she was immortal, and women tend to be more flirty and dreamy... and some, dream of being queens.
Mikah smiled thinking of Lira for a second until Deom tapped him on the forehead.
-Let's keep walking, there's still a long way to go to the castle. he said kicking a pebble, and Mikah thought Deom was a bit annoyed by doing those… “mortaly” things.
