《A laid back thief》Chapter 4 Bomber

Chapter 4 Bomber!
That was the only thing that came to mind. A giant bomb. But I'd have to get it inside of the monster. A bomb of wind on the outside wouldn't do anything but knock it on its rearend. Easier said than done. But it would only take one good hit for the fight to be over since its their last life. Ty and Leo were still going at it but they aren't doing as well as before… The monster regrew his shoulder and the weapons of flesh. And he is starting to use Ki walls again. Ty can't land a single shot and Leo is having a hard time getting even to its hand. This is going to be a pain. I'll make a move when Ty and Leo both go in for a strike.
Ty was charging up a shot with his rifle. Leo was in the thing's hands. He was being crushed. I can't move or I'll lose focus on the bomb. Shit. Leo's screams made me flinch a little bit. “TY SHOOT!” I yelled. My bomb was probably only 15% the way done. But it could probably cause internal bleeding. I released the wind and blasted off the ground. Ty shot and the bullet was caught with a Ki wall. It looked like glass. A thin pane of pure Ki. The demon looked at Ty. He wasn't looking at me at all. In fact, I didn't see anything. It was all black. Just the demon and me. No sound. I felt invisible. I was mere inches from the Goat's mouth. I had to throw his thing down far enough to hopefully burst an organ or two. My arm went into his slimy mouth. It was still not even looking at me. It was like I was a ghost. My arm was fully in. I made an effort to throw it down its throat. I kicked off the thing's jaw and watched at a massive gust of air blasted through its chest. I got lucky and thought it's pipe. I busted my right lung. His rib cage was blown apart too. I got lucky I was aiming for the stomach. His right pec area was open. But I was dizzy after landing. The monster let out a guttural scream mere moment after. Leo was let out right after. He gave me his thanks once he fell. Ty relinquished his rifle. Out came a pair of two pistols. Leo got on his feet once more. We are standing together made me realize how short I was. Leo looked to be 14 or 15. Ty was about 12 I’d guess. They both were still taller than me.

“Kid, can you do that thing you did again?” Leo asked. “Probably not,” I said.
“Then focus on making me faster with your wind.” I agreed and began swirling wind around his feet. Leo was amazingly strong. I don't think I could even beat him even if I tapped into my Niyphen powers. My power compared to Ty was more equal but right now I'm the weakest. Doesn't mean I'm useless though. “Leo cast fire on your sword again” I said. He did it without asking why, I began to swirl wind around his blade increasing the size of the flames. I began to add a spin to it. “THIS IS AWSOME KID!” he said. The torrent of pure flames was about 3x bigger than what it was. Leo started running towards the monsters. He leaped, cracking the ground. He raised the sword and with my wind supporting him he yelled out (JUDGMENT CUT) The flames turned from a reddish flame to a golden flame. It was awe inspiring.it was a tornado of golden flames. The Heat didn't burn me but felt like a mothers embrace. The same couldn't be said for the Monster. He didn't even start the slice. But the monster's skin was already being seared and burned. A moment later Leo sliced the monster in half. And instead of blood and guts. The golden flames covered the entire cut. It surely would die from that. The flames quickly spreaded and consumed the monster alive.
“That sword is quite interesting,” Nyle said. I'm glad they can't hear him since he's only in my head. But what's so interesting about the sword. “Look at the edges. They changed from red to gold when the boy yelled out.” I think that sword is my sister Arel the judgment Niyphen. But don't say anything kid they aren't connected like we are. Otherwise, the sword wouldn't be outside his body. Alright I'm going back to sleep”

I hate how he is always “Sleeping” but I'll get used to it, I guess. I'm glad that fighting that thing was over.
I heard some clapping from a distance. It was my Uncle Polo. He was smiling.
“Congratulations to you three. You passed graduation.” “Graduation?” You won't know it by looking but I've been training these guys for 5 years. And you all passed stages 1”
“Not fair the new guy doesn't have to do anything we did”
“I mean he took out 1 of the hearts and broke its defenses for you to beat its 3rd phase.”
“Yeh but he beat the weakest phase and Ty and I beat the stronger ones. And he was tapped in like my sister had.”
“Enough!” Polo yelled
“I agree with master Leo. The new guy, I mean Marco, helped us out a lot. He is pretty smart for a kid younger than us.”
“Thanks” I said.
“Now for your first task of stage 2, I want to introduce Greed. Out from the shadows came a Wolf bear? It had the bulkiness of a bear's body but the look of a wolf. And to my surprise it talked.
“This is one of the Boff races. They are highly intelligent but still have the strength of animals. They are adorable, aren't they?” As soon as he said that the angry look Greed followed by a swat of his paws crashing my uncle into the ground.
“He is going to prepare you 2s bodies for the vale entrance exams.”
“2?” Leo asked.
“Leo, you are overly prepared for it. You are leaving right now.”
Before Leo could speak Leo was grasping in the same golden light my mother put over me.
Now let's begin

On the Road to Elspar (Book 1)
The year is 1329. The Huntress' War has entered its tenth year, inflaming competing nationalisms and pitting the Confederacy of Caldrein against one of the continent's superpowers, the Tenereian Union. Desperately outnumbered, the Confederacy has relied on the prowess of its famed Caldran mercenaries, with highly-trained and experienced warbands returning from foreign conflicts to the defense of their homeland, and it is on their backs that Caldrein has successfully mounted a valiant defense for a decade. But they are losing, and day by day, with all the grace of a sledgehammer, the vast Tenereian armies take one more bit of Caldran territory, one footstep at a time. Sixteen-year-old Neianne from the village of Caelon has submitted herself to Faulkren Academy, one of the centuries-old institutions established to train the next generation of Caldrein's elite soldiers of fortune, to learn the ways of wars for three years before embarking upon the defense of her country. Her dryad family once hailed from reclusive woodland communes isolated from Caldrein's complicated mainstream society, and her upbringing leaves the shy village girl unprepared to suddenly train alongside other apprentices from backgrounds as low as the dirty slums of Caldrein's cities and as high as the halls of aristocratic power. Yet the war is eroding the norms and traditions that the Caldran people have long considered part of their national mythos, and the tensions within the confederacy that have long simmered under the surface - race, class, community, identity - are slowly but surely dividing its people, and Neianne must grow and discover who she really is, even as the war that she is steadfastly training for comes to its inexorable end... On the Road to Elspar is a fantasy quest - a work of interactive fiction wherein readers get to vote on what happens next at critical junctures - that is the first entry in a story that follows Neianne of Caelon, which first began on July 20, 2016. Originally a three-part in medias res prologue to a larger story titled On the Elsparian Road, it was eventually decided that this section - which covers Neianne's three years at Faulkren Academy - become its own independent story due to length, structural, and accessibility reasons. Despite this being a reader interactive work of fiction, due to logistical and verification concerns, voting will only be counted on its thread on the forum Sufficient Velocity, where this story originally began. As such, the content here on Royal Road serves as a story-only archive. You are, of course, entirely welcome to enjoy On the Road to Elspar as a conventional work of fiction, just as you are welcome to comment, discuss, and provide critique. But if you would like to participate in the voting, then I would be honored to welcome you on Sufficient Velocity. To facilitate accessibility and to ensure the best reading experience, this story-only version of On the Road to Elspar will be updated at a periodic pace, even though further content exists, so as to not overwhelm new readers on Royal Road. If you enjoy this story, wish to binge it, and/or want to participate in voting immediately, you may of course read all additional content via the link provided above. This paragraph will be removed once the content on Royal Road catches up with what has already been posted in its original thread. Cover artwork by DreamSyndd.
