《Skelly Boy》Chapter 7 : Orc vs Humans

Rally Cry Increase the stats of nearby surrounding minions by (1) Grade for 90 seconds. Cooldown resets when a minion dies, however Rally Cry doesn’t stack. 30 Minute Cooldown.
The Orc Boss roars a challenge, and the sound is almost twice as hefty as the aspiring (now dead) Orc hunter and carries with it a tinge of mana infused ferocity. The Big Boss is ready. But The undead skeleton warrior? Well…
For Greg, this is his third death. The first time was an accident. The second time he didn’t know what he was doing, but the third time…
He remembers charging in, being brave with a sword raised and wind whipping over his skull. He remembers casting Rally Cry. He remembers getting faster. He remembers getting skewered by a 2x4, which doesn’t make sense, but that’s the only way his mind can explain it. The force of something wide and heavy, cracking his ribcage and exploding out his spine, instantly turning off thought and reason.
And when reason disappeared there was only the void. Empty and cold. Greg’s mind only dwelt there briefly the two times he’s died, but this time, with the void stretching out before him… this time the void is there and something smiles in it. At that point, Greg realizes that this isn’t some game, that this world isn’t just letting him come back over and over again. That death only has to stick a little longer…
So, Greg runs. Which is a good idea for Greg, but not for Matt, who upon seeing skeleton revive momentarily, forgets that that his undead friend isn’t a minion under his influence, but has thoughts and feelings of his own. So, instead of waiting, literally 60 seconds, he decides to charge up a Level 3 Acid Arrow.
“AW FUCK!” screams the skeleton as he dives out of the way. The giant emerald arrow whizzes over the skelly and misses the Orc Boss by several inches. The giant Orc smiles, as the puny human magician is too pathetic to hit him. He starts to laugh in a haughty taunt before he’s interrupted by a shrill scream.

Matt the Necromancer has Leveled Up.
The Orc Boss watches as his Scout falls to the ground, the acid chewing through the meaty flesh and revealing the white bone underneath. The grizzly sight, with acid mixing in with blood and ichor from the melted eyes and brain matter turned to slush, makes the gathered orcs’ stomachs churn. But as the body lays twitching and very much dead, the Orcs simply grunt, because there is a human here. And they only need to find him.

Irobu Vikria led a model life; she dutifully worked in the mines and devoutly worshipped her patron deity Hekal—that is, until a cave-in unleashed the spirit of the ancient King Thrun. A victim of circumstance, adolescent Irobu is possessed by the archaic regent, which results in the unlikely pair sharing body and mind. In order to escape the cave-in, Thrun tricks Irobu into casting spells—a dangerous and sacrilegious act in a land where magic is extremely erratic. Irobu’s life continues to unravel as Thrun commits further heresy while she is sleeping. Determined to banish the uninvited guest, Irobu flees her homeland to join the one group that might be up for the challenge. To complete her quest, Irobu must embrace her nascent magical talent while trying to win over her newfound allies. Her faith, compassion, and, above all, patience, are tested throughout her continent wide odyssey. Along the way, Irobu begins to see that there may be more to the world than either Hekal or Thrun would have her believe…

Let me ask you a question. Did you ever play a game so passionately, that you were able to play it for hours and hours, without even noticing how the time passed by? And then imagine being stuck… But you’re not only stuck because you can’t get any further, but you are also stuck because you can’t get out anymore This is the story of gamers, or should I say brave swordsmen who fought to clear the game, to beat the boss, to be alive.
