"Now that I think about it..." Deylor said in a trance.
"We don't really have that much to pack do we?" Deylor crossed his hands.
"i see your point." Jack replied after putting the last of his belongings in his bag.
Their combined assets had filled half a small suitcase even after putting in their most useless items.
The two boys talked as they ambled to the taxi--point.
"Would you rather... save the world but everyone thinks you destroyed it or destroy the world but everyone thinks you saved it." Deylor asked as he gazed at the endless sky.
Jack put his hand on his chin.
"Option 1, right?"
Deylor nodded.
"I wonder if that's how two sides of a war see each other." He spoke cautiously.
"Maybe the war against the Demons 7 years ago was a calamity for both sides."
"Maybe the Demons were equal victims."
"What if the Demons wer-"
"Deylor." Jack spoke calmly.
"You went past the taxi, come on." Jack urged Deylor in.
The two sat in silence as the car shook.
"Classes?" Deylor asked boredness visible on his face.
"Weapon mastery, Ability control and Physical, you?"
"Ability control, Physical and Martial arts."
"Neat." Jack replied a hand on his cheek.
Silence continued.
Deylor sighed.
"How's your dorm?"
Jack grimaced.
"Awful, 3 people and 2 beds. The academy is packed this year."
"Weird, my dorm has 5 beds but only me and some other guy." Deylor replied as he scratched the back of his head.
"Does that not sound dangerous?" Jack furrowed his eyebrows..
Deylor wore a question mark on his face.
"Think about it, that much room and only 2 guys. We're from the slums so we don't know famous names among our generation. You might of gotten paired with a psychopath..."

"Let's talk about something else." Deylor hid his look of worry but it resurface in his words anyways.
"Let's have a competition." Deylor smirked villanously.
"First to make 10 friends wins deal?"
"It's a deal!" Jack grinned,
"Sorry I don't talk to poor people."
"I No hablo English."
"Are you trying to sell me drugs?
"I'm a minor."
"Scram."
A sigh resounded as two boys sat side by side at a table.
"Make any friends?" Deylor said as his eyes gazed into the distance.
"Haha, no." Jack replied as he too gazed into the distance.
The first day was for making connections.
They were not doing great.
Until.
A heavy hand placed on both their backs.
Jack and Deylor looked at each other in realization.
Was this the start of a friendship.
Deylor cleared his throat and spoke.
"Are you by any chance trying to be our friend?"
Jack spoke next.
"No pressure, we welcome all ethnicities, races and minds."
Until the well-built teenager replied awkwardly.
"Uh, not really I was trying to bully you."
He raised a fist.
And proceeded to eat a red fist. Sent flying back down the auditorium all eyes were on Deylor.
"Deylor, you're meant to get hit first so it's self defense! Jack chided.
"My bad, guys." Deylor apologised sheepishly.
And so Deylor became the Kid to not mess with.
And Jack became his shady friend.
Reputations, acquired.
Day 1 Complete.

Tim the Engineer
Summoned against his will to a world of swords and magic, an engineering student struggles to find a way home under the shadow of a world devouring threat. ***************************** Updates: 5/13/19: Revisions to several chapters for clarity, grammar, and style. 4/29/19: A short side story and artwork has been added to the blog. 4/8/19: A Side Story has been updated on my new blog (every writer is required to have one). https://talesfromliahar.wordpress.com/ ***************************** “The summoning scenarios are broken down into groups of ten.” Emi Ito stated. “Don’t, don’t you dare say another word.” Muttered Genzo Uchida. His eyes had turned bloodshot and his hands shook with rage. “The first thirty…” “Shut up!” Genzo bellowed “How dare you help these disrespectful gaijin?” Flecks of spit and madness flew from his face, his fist raised ready to strike. But Emi did not flinch, instead she was about ready to continue when Yuma Takeuchi interrupted her. “Uchida, please,” her sweet sounding words could melt ice. “I think we will have a better chance of getting home if we all work together.” When she glanced up with her sleepy looking eyes at Genzo Uchida he deflated visibly. “Were not getting home.” Uchida said coolly. “Group summoning, large, that puts us in the 60 series. No one came to greet us after five minutes of arrival. That leaves scenarios 68 and 69. In scenario 68 there is something that binds the large group together; they are all classmates or a single family. But thanks to the gaijin” he spit out the word “I think we are scenario 69 with no way home.” Ikko Inoue’s eyes went wide, while Katsukno and Hayata started muttering to themselves. Tim took on a serious look and rubbed his scruffy chin. Emi maintained her stoic expression while trying to find something to refute. McKenzie glanced at Randall and giggled. Randall took the prompting of his teammate and followed up by approaching Genzo. “Uh, so we are in a sixty-nine?” “Yes.” Replied Genzo with the seriousness of someone who’s life was about to end. McKenzie covered her mouth and snickered. “You and me, were stuck in a sixty-nine situation?” Randall pushed with a grin. “Yes, we are all stuck in a sixty-nine scenario together!” Genzo retorted in anger. McKenzie fell on her butt laughing. “What the hell is so funny?” Demanded Genzo, whose face had turned red. “It’s a problem with the automatic translation.” Retorted Tim. Randall, who seemed unable to quit started in again “So, about this sixty-ni…” Genzo interrupted Randall with a swift punch to the face. But, because of their height difference it was a bit of an uppercut that left Randall rattled. Tim and Ikko moved to step in between the two, but Genzo showed no further hostility. Instead he just stared at his clenched fist with such intensity it grabbed the attention of the room. “I unlocked a skill.” He said bluntly. ***************************** This is not a light novel, but people who like light novels should enjoy the themes of this book. ***************************** A Map of the Region

Knight’s Fate: Knight and Princess
When war finally ended, the Arcadians sought retribution from the nightmares they had suffered from demonkind. A noble Princess had taken her mother's mantle in order to uphold peace between the two races so humanity could co-exist with their fellow demons in a kingdom without strife, but war paved the road to peace in blood and such path is but a fragile thread awaiting to be ignited by the flames of hatred. Another great war awaits, but will she be able to avert it?Second iteration of the Knight's Fate saga chronologically speaking. Yes I'm starting from the second because the first was an utter failure when I tried to write it, it just didn't fit the mood of a fantasy novel unlike this one. Though don't worry this doesn't mean you can't enjoy this one before I write the first. This is the first story I've actually published so I appreciate any feedback, be it good or bad just let me know what you think.
