Then a sudden hiss woke it up from it's mind.

Then pain slowly returned to the numb body, biting through it's entire existence, which woke it up.
What is this...! Acid...!? Argh!
Then it felt itself losing control over it's body, spreading the feeling of numbness again, it thought in panic as it remembered it's purpose.
The Queen...! I must protect the Queen! My duty isn't over...! Protect The Queen!
Through sheer will and determination, the puny ant struggled and tried to stand up only to fail, then it turned to it's offender, who was approaching it's Queen.
The Queen's antenna twitched and she retreated in panic and terror, making the attacker rush at her.
No...
As the thing closed up on the Queen, her back pressed against the cave wall, making it grin.
No...!
The monster whipped it's antenna back and forth in excitement and slowly walked forward.
NO!
The Queen sent out a signal for help, likely her last, as the enemy opened it's jaws, preparing to chomp down on her.
CRACK!
The ant screamed inside it's mind, resonating with it's very soul, then it felt unimaginable power surged forth from deep within it's being, it jumped and practically flew forward and crashed on top of the unsuspecting insect, the latter quickly shook it's head desperately as it's glee turned into panic.
The loyal guard didn't allow it to move more and chomped it's neck with all of it's strength, making it twitched violently for a moment, before becoming still.
The Queen looked at her savior and clattered her jaws in praise of it's actions, but quickly sent out a signal in panic when her brave warrior suddenly fell off the monster's back and stayed completely still.

Dragonslayer Awakens (The Flash Guardians series 1)
MaXabiere Berrygrewd, or Xabe for short, is a sixteen-year-old boy who lives in an enchanted world called Enchanteria, a place full of magic, wonders, and mysteries. And in that world, there are mortal heroes of any race called the Flash guardians: Who train and practice their magical abilities, talents, skills, and spells to stand against evil and become the forces of good. Xabe found them admirable, so a small part of him wanting to join them, but he only looks at a smaller picture as he lives in a peaceful, prosperous town of Yardsville in the landmass of Etheron. He had earned the out most respect from his deeds and power. However, what lies ahead of the slayer is not what it seems, for his purpose is to not bring an end- but to give a start. And that starts with MaXabiere, who, deep down, has an inner power that has been growing little by little as he uses them. Although, the inner power is still in a sleepy state and must be awakened in order to see the unimaginable potential. He must join alongside with the Flash guardians, must be trained by the Dragonslayer, and he must realize his true destiny in order to see the bigger picture by realizing what it's like to be a slayer, a guardian, and a hero.
