*Ping
Well you could do it immediately...
looking at the blue screen I quickly spoke without a second thought...
"Yea and how could I do that?"
*Ping
Say please first. :D
"Can you please tell me?"
*Ping
No problem.

Unrestricted pain will stimulate in 3..2…
*Agh, Realizing how much noise I made I quickly shut my mouth trying my best not to make a sound.
Pain shot in all of my limbs. It felt like I had stuck my hand into a burning fire. My skin boiled. The burning sensation lingered on my limbs… Suddenly what felt like a hot iron was pushed into my back. I was barely able to stand. My legs were no longer listening to me. They stood frozen in place, not wanting to move an inch. Pain struck through each of my limbs, The burning lingered feeling it was as if large holes had been shot through my body.
*Ping
So… How was it?
I couldn't even move my jaw the best I could do to answer was though thought,
“How the fuck do you think it felt! I am not able to move my body.”
*Ping
You don't have to be so rude about it. “- -
“You're the one that didn't stick to the countdown.”
*Ping
And I'm also the one that helped you level up.
“Fine fine”
*Ping
Now that's more like it, Hump

*Creak the door on the other side of the wall slowly opened.
“I thought I heard someone yell?” A young boy's voices sounded worried or in a panic. I wonder how many there are.
“Shut the door or Mearie will get cold.” Old man's voice bellowed soon after the young child's voice.
*Creckkk
Opening up the storage, I quickly picked up the book and placed it inside.
Well there's three that I know of inside. I just need to get rid of them right? Standing still I tried my best to force my mana into the symbols which then started to glow. The body quickly doubled inside until I was around seven feet tall. The symbols quickly faded until they became completely invisible again.
I became much larger. It's the best way I can think of to look more intimidating.
*Ping
You are double the size of the average wolf to begin with now this is just ridiculous. l_ I
“That's exactly why I picked it”
Standing up on all fours my whole body felt normal just like it was in my normal size body…
*Ping
Your whole body is encased in a large amount of your mana your real body’s actually in the center your just feeling everything because your mana is acting like a extra layer of skin. : P
“Man this is a really good skill...”
Walking around to the side of the house I quickly took one big breath. I've never met anyone here beside my family…
*Ping
You'll do fine. ;)
“Thanks”
Walking over to the front of the house I hit the door a few times with the front of my claw.
“Grandpa i told you ther…”
*Creckkk
“Grandpa!”
The young boy looked around twelve or thirteen with light blond hair and dark green eyes dressed in worn out leather clothes. He quickly grabbed a small knife he must have had with him before stepping outside leaving the door open behind him. Standing a few feet in front of me I just sat down. At my slightest movement he jumped.

A few seconds later his grandpa came out and he looked like he was in his thirties or so with the same blond hair as the younger boy. Dress in worn leather clothes and a long iron sword attached to his hip.
“Boy come over here!”
Waving his hand over at the small child. He quickly ran to his grandpa over before hiding behind him.
“Is there something I can do for you?”
I'm surprised they didn't try to fight right off the bat there more sivile then the people i've ever met…
“Your trespassing” I tried to infuse my vocal cords with a slight amount of mana. it wonder if it works?... my voice shock the shack walls before it came to a sudden standstill with silence. Just adding that small amount gave off huge amounts of pressure in my words leaving both them speechless.
*Ping
~ Voice has been forcefully translated using the system.
“W..we're sorry but we don't have anywhere else we can go.”
“And why is that.” and more a bit less mana to my voice and shaping it to a thin stream. it made their bones shake to their very core. like daggers or knives it pierced there ears. I had to wait a few more seconds before they could speak on again. Better not do that one again.
“We were kicked out of our village… for harboring a demon. They sent us into the forest to kill it or we won't be able to go back.”
“And where is this demon.”
Gesting inside towards the house behind them. But they did not move a step away from the door. The boy quickly ran out from behind his grandpa who tried to grab him only to fail. He quickly ran in front of me and looked up at me.
“You're not allowed to hurt Mearie.”
“Don't worry I wont do anything to her. Now where is she.” The boy quickly ran over to his grandpa who swatted him on the head. They both opened the door to the house and went inside. After a minute or so they came out with a young elf girl whose left was missing. She was dressed in a white dress with bandages covering what was left of her arm.
Her light green hair was cut short and her ears were just barely poking beneath. Her face had no hint of fear when she saw me.
“Hello. If it's about the land all be leaving as soon as I can...”
“What happened to your arm if you don't mind me asking.” gesturing over at her missing limb.
“I used it for magic…” Her gaze wanders off to the demon trees surrounding the area.
“My village was enslaved by humans… These helped me leave before I was found. They bring me food every once in a while too… but the other villagers found out a few days ago.”
“So what are you guys going to do?” Looking over at the two humans who were still blankly staring at the two of us.
Mearie looked over at them before relaxing; they didn't understand a thing we said. She quickly explained what to said to them. I wonder why it didn't get translated this time…
*Ping
Because I forgot. XD
Trying to keep from laughing I fake yawned.
“W..we don't know what to do.”
*Ping
Why don't you take her? She seems pretty useful.
She's not a slave you idiot. Speaking of which, where is she?
Mearie without me noticing was standing beside petting my side.
“Your mana is really fuffy.” Stroking my fur a few more times before smiling softly.

Dungeon Scholar
Girl meets dungeon. What could go right? A story of a good-hearted Scholar driven by her compassion and curiosity. She might be a little combat averse, but um, isn't that only logical? Love me a good grimdark, but sometimes I want to read feel-good fiction that isn't pure action, romance, or comedy. The plot and characters of Dungeon Scholar won't be all happy and fluffy, and the world will be more dungeons and monsters than rainbows and puppies, but overall the sweet moments should overshadow the bitter. Let's say three dollops of sugar for every pinch of salt, with lemon slices left on the saucers? Enjoy. Note: This is NOT a typical dungeon story. If you are here for the dungeon aspect, then fair warning this will seem incredibly slow-burn to you. The dungeon will eventually become the most important 'character,' arguably, or the second-most important narratively, but you might jump out the window in frustration long before that happens. At its heart, the story's core remains 'girl meets dungeon,' not 'dungeon meets world.' (To be clear, this does or will have a plot! It's just the more conventional story-like elements contribute to Rowena Loress's greater story, not the other way around; no conflict takes center stage until it becomes personally significant to her. 8 105The Draw Of The Unknown
Mia Campbell is your average introverted loner. Not exactly satisfied with her life doing pretty much nothing of import, she's also not that willing to break out and make a change. Until, without any preamble or warning, she is bestowed with a cryptic system that both grants her magical powers, and also operates on the logic of a card game. Things begin to escalate from there. **This project is a bit of an experiment! For any given chapter, Mia's 'decklist' will be built by the community, over on our Discord server. If you find this amusing, and want to participate in the discussion, as well as find the complete list of cards, you will be able to find the link to the Discord server at the end of each chapter. Discussion in the comments is also encouraged and included as well. Each chapter and/or scenario will be intentional, but the cards used will be chosen by you guys. And the draws made will be done via actual drawing of cards during the writing process, for bonus author street cred.**
8 142The Most Powerful Ant in the Universe
As an ant, I am very weak, to the point that anything can defeat me without trying at all. And then a strange person gives me unimaginable potential... New chapter daily (Haven't missed one yet)!
8 98Mind your Manors, please.
In a land of crimson and darkness, a lone door stood in a valley of fiery petals. Within was a golden mansion, home to the Count and his seven guests. When a lone child wandered into a manor of ruin and ancient evil, what horrors awaited the poor and innocent soul? Nemo didn’t know the answer to that question, but she sure as heck wanted to find out. A new world meant adventure, and adventure meant discovery, and discovery meant fun! Well, that was supposed to be the plan, but the Count was too busy trying to fix the manor to go with her. So she would help him, that was what friends were for, right? This ultimate housemaid would stop at nothing until the job was done. It didn’t matter if the manor lay ruined for many years, it didn’t matter if all the guests could bring about the end of the world, it doubly didn’t matter that Nemo was a low-level scrub, whatever that meant. She would level up, get better at fixing things, and nothing would stop her from having the Count take her on an adventure! Now, where did the last giant floating eyeball go? next arc release date: indefinite hiatus Disclaimer: the current cover is a place-holder stock photo taken from Stockfresh.
