《dreadnaught: scifi apocalypses space marine》chapter 31: chat

Master Silve: David, my kin had just finished up those things you wished for. We had found a few crystal smiths to join us and they integrated the mana crystals as
your design stated. They are in our shared storage now. Also, we have recruited another five hundred and fifty of the clanless to join us in our new beginnings. May we one day have the greatest ale in the greatest hall the world has ever known. But by my beard Sire, making it happen is going to take time.
Loa: We too have recruited more to our number. One a tribe of rabbitkin, who were about to be slaughtered to the last when the change as you called it happened. While not great fighters, they run incredibly fast. Making them excellent messengers and scouts. Though they are very humble.
The second tribe we recruited were tigerkin. Much the opposite of the rabbitkin, they have great bursts of speed and strength, but lack sustainability in endurance situations. They too were under attack when the change occured.
David: Who was attacking them? Master Silve: The elves, if it was humans, would have been slavers looking to capture rather than kill. David: Speaking of slaves, we are going to need to go over our laws and code of governance sometime. Note, I am against slavery. Master Silve: Aye, Sire, that leaves a sour taste in my mouth as well. But we also must figure out what to do with our criminals. Loa: A conversation better left for another time. As I was saying. The tigerkin would make good guardsmen or even shock troopers. David: I understand the militant outlook, but perhaps we should ask them what they want. Loa: As I just said, guards or shock troops. They hate farming and could never hunt far because of the elves hunting them. Master Silve: You did tell them there would be no elves right? David: Right??? Master Silve: Ha, Lady Loa, let's not let the tigerkin believe we are going to cage them as well. Let us hope they do not scatter like stray cats in heat or we shall find them all over the eastern continent. Loa: One I find that offensive Master Dwarf, (but also find it funny, fuckers calling me fleabag), and two, do we not also plan to span the entire continent with our individual peoples? My mate already wants me to start having litters again. David: Speaking of mating, one of my people has bedded a dragonkin female not long ago. Their safety zone is not far from ours and we have had contact with each other. What are your opinions on them? Master Silve: Truth be told laddy, we had no dragonkin in our world. Loa: As I understand your legends, we too had stories of them in our world, however. Very proud, high, and mighty with both natural physique and magical talents. I would think they died out when the glitch occurred.

David:From what I was told, most of them did. Ever since then they have become warring rival clans fighting over the few mana springs left on their world. Anyways, I told them about the world we will be colonizing and they have decided to settle on the southern continent.
The climate is perfect for them and there is bountiful fishing for them for food. Plus what I have understood of John and his new wife’s talking. They improved the coding of the power armor and are already working on improved versions. Do not worry Master Silve. Your work is not in vain. And is much appreciated.
Loa: Which brings up the next topic up for discussion. Do you need our help? David: I am not sure to be honest. We already found dozens of ants caught in our distant traps. But if I am being honest. If the National Guard was still here if you and the entirety of the dragonkin joined us. If we had a fortress and all the time and resources to prepare. I still would not like our odds. If I do call on you both, it will be on the final day... and it might just be a one-way trip to the grave.
This caused the chat to go quiet. Meanwhile, in another chat group, a totally different conversation was going on.
Azanii: Seriously sister, we had been here less than a day and you bed one of them. Loumoni: Oh, please. Stephine bedded that one warrior a few days ago and nobody said anything to her. Azanii: Well, unlike Stephine, you never had shown any interest in any of our men. You were always alone with your toys. Loumoni: Again, oh please, you liked them too. Azanii: Beside the point. Mother always thought you would forever be childless. Now you attach yourself to someone so... soft. I would think you would have the standard of bedding the Dreadnaught. Now that is a soft skin worth your time. Loumoni: 0o0, you are interested in the Dreadnaught aren't you. I thought you were going to partner with, what’s his name... Azanii: Garack, and we are not talking about me right now. We are talking about you and this John. Loumoni: What can I say, we seem to just speak the same language. He is a lot smarter than you give him credit for. He built a golem interface from scratch without magic. I thought that was impossible. Me, the princess of golems. Azanii: The system is making us speak the same language, and I must admit that is impressive. Imagine if we could have warriors like them. I bet I could wrestle an ancestor in one of those. Loumoni: Not likely, the golem language is still young and full of flaws. It might be possible by the time I am a grandmother. But we both know how likely that is going to be. Azanii: You know that joke is no longer valid right? Loumoni: -_-’, fuck... Azanii: Yes, I believe that is why it is no longer valid. Azanii: So tell me how it was with the soft flesh? Loumoni: Fine I’ll tell, but you gotta wash my toy off after you use it this time. I know you are going to make it dirty thinking of the Dreadnaught tonight.
