《Secrets of the Myath》Extra: Bk1 Ch24.5 Unscheduled Intermission

Hello beautiful readers. I hate doing this and it really sucks but there (probably) won't be a chapter this week. Life has thrown me a few curves balls this past few weeks and family medical stuff is at the forefront.
I don't thinks I've said but my schedule it to plan the chapter on Mondays, write the bulk of the chapter on Tuesdays and edit and post on Wednesdays but this week, even thought I've been writing, it's slow and I'm struggling to concentrate. I may pull it out of the bag but I didn't want to leave you all hanging if I didn't. I'm sorry everyone. So, just in case, I'll give you a little sneak peek behind the scenes again. I hope you enjoy it. As always, stay safe and look after one another. 😊
Kine: (whispering to his small group as they leave the Embassy) Is it bad that I really want to bat at their tails? It just looks so fun.
Sierra: (hissing) Yes Kine! You can't just so that.
Kine: I wouldn't do it... It just looks fun. Besides, the author isn't letting me relax that much. I always have to be the formal, calm one.
Author: Hey! Don't blame me. You all high-jack the plot every chapter! I don't know what you're doing half the time!
Sierra: Don't bother her, she's doing her best... probably. Look, you aren't a wild cat Kine, you can't just say that kind of thing.
Matthais: (wistfully) ...No. I get where he's coming from. I'd like to play like a kitten again.
Sierra: Matthias! Why didn't you say, we could go play in the jungle if you like.
Thane: No playing, we have a global crisis here!
Author: Shhhhhhhh. Thane, I've told you, no SPOILERS!
Thane: But-
Author: No.
Thane: I wasn't-

Author: Nope.
Thane: But I didn't-
Author: NO! I have three more books to write and I need all the material I can get so. No. Spoilers. Okay?
Thane: Fine... (quietly) even though you already mentioned The Guide.
Author: Incoherant ranting as Thane cowers.
Sierra: ... Issss he gonna be okay?
Matthias and Kine shrug.
Sierra: Huh... Anyway, this is so annoying. It's near the end of the book and I want to know what happens. I'm getting itchy feet.
Matthais: Well, why don't we write it?
Kine: Ooooh. Good idea! This time, I'm not getting a hole in my stomach.
Sierra: Sorry Kine. It's already published, you can't change that. But we could finish the book for her.
Matthais grunts in humour as Kine sighs dejectedly.
Kine: Fine. I need a break. Maybe the next candidate pool will find a suitable King and I can retire. So, what will we write?
Sierra: Well, I'd like to have a ride on a dragon!
Kine: No, no, nope. Absolurlty not! No love interest. You're too young, you've not even hit five decades let alone your first century. Not to mention you've only just gone through maturity.
Sierra: Kine.
Matthais: She's smart and mature. She can handle a relationship.
Sierra: Kine.
Kine: Of course she can but we only just found her. Don't you want more time with her before-
Sierra: KINE! I JUST want to try flying!!
Kine: ... Oh... Yeah me too. That would be cool.
Matthias nods in agreement. I mean, who doesn't love dragons?
Sierra: (Spots Thane) Thane! Your back! Where's the author?
Thane: (whimpering) No spoilers. No spoilers. No spoilers...
Sierra: Oh. Oh dear. Uuuuuummmm, let's go get ready for that meeting. Maybe it will help distract Thane.
Sierra leaves.
Kine: I still think the Drakes would make great play mates...
Matthias nods his agreements and they both leave. Thane stares blankly after them.
Thane: I want an assistant. My job became so much harder since the royal family grew. *sigh*.
Thane leaves to catch up with the others.
Author: (Turns around from frantic plot planning to find everyone gone) ... Did I say something wrong?

“Well, I do sometimes wonder why we’re sent here, considering we never consented to be born. I’ll just go about living my life, I guess." A supposedly ordinary year in Semangat Junior College proves to be anything but normal for its students when a freshman gets attacked by a mysterious creature prowling around Bishan. That is just the beginning. Unexplainable bursts of magical energy begin mushrooming all over Singapore following the attack. An intern at Divyane is sent on a mission to investigate these strange happenings. Unfortunately for him, nobody told him that the life of an intern was not going to be easy. For one, there is an overly-enthusiastic supernatural fan who insists on following his every mission. Then there is the issue of the rogue mage who has been attacking the school's students and the unresolved disappearances around the island. Will Frankie be able to find the answers to his investigation? Most importantly, who is the rogue mage responsible for the unexplained attacks on regular students? What do they want? The first novel in the planned Rugged Backpack Series, Masking Tape combines elements of the magical girl genre with Southeast Asian mythos through an ensemble cast as they get tangled up in the affairs of a realm they never knew existed beneath their feet. New chapters every Monday and Friday!
8 54The Devil's own sins
Writer updates available for free on patreon. The following account, dear reader, is a recollection and retelling of the story of the first imp. The last devil born from the original primordial pit at the dawn of time, and the lowliest speck of that first generation. It recounts the tale of Thozronnath the pitiful and his steady rise from obscurity, perpetually stuck as a punching bag for his betters until the day hell itself spat him out. The information presented here is pieced together from eye-witness reports and second hand hearsay, sometimes from creatures with more than two hands. I can not tell you with any degree of accuracy how much of it is true as it begins long before our time and it's true ending lies far unto the future still. I can tell you one thing though, it was confusing as hell. Cover: Illustration for John Milton's Paradise Lost by Gustave Doré (1866), a thankfully public domain image. Currently on hiatus. 8 186World fusion: Chaos
An event of immesureable proportions took place. Our world fused with another one. The laws of the world, the geography, the living beings... Everything changed. And it was just the beginning. Nothing serious, 1 release per week at best.
8 197ADEPTAVERSE
A universe focused on many shifting perspectives as they overcome calamities and hardship in a dangerous, tragic and unforgiving universe. This is AdeptaVerse. Fiction is in progress at all times and is a side project. The story will be marked as completed when it is such. Because of this I advise all readers that new chapters may be added between already published chapters and some things may be adjusted. However, the base story will always be the same. Thank you for understanding. If you want you can follow this story and come back to it when it is fully completed.
8 113Two Faced: An Urban Fantasy Adventure
Ancient Demons. A Terrible Curse. Only one woman can save the day … though she's not really a woman at all. Winona Treesinger is a Bigfoot—and no, she doesn’t just have large feet. She’s literally an eight-feet tall walking myth, and the last great princess of the People of the Forest. All she and her people want is to dwell in the deep places of the forest, well away from mankind and the destruction they bring to the land and the world. But when Winona hears about a string of grisly murders in the nearby city of Missoula, she knows in her gut it’s the work of an ancient evil, driven away from their lands long ago. Reluctantly, and against the wishes of her Father, Chief Chankoowashtay, Winona must leave the forest and venture into the world of men, disguised as a frail human, in order to set the balance straight and stop the killings. And with the help of a handsome, slick-talking city detective named Chris Fuller, she might be able to do it. But if Chris finds out what she really is, stopping the creature might be the least of her worries.
