《HxH: Walking The Path Of Evolution》Chapter 18: Possibilities

There are quite a few hatsu I have in mind. I am still not ready to make one, since I still consider myself blind in the ways of magic, but reviewing my current ideas would be a nice way to spend the last week here.
Early school would be mostly pointless for me, but I still need to get used to this world’s system of doing things. As of now, I stand out way too much in the academic sense. I don’t even know what types of problems others my age can solve. For all my attempts, I have yet to find a way to emulate child intelligence accurately. Or would it be simulating, since I am aiming for accuracy not performance? Well semantics aside, I have to improve.
So what kind of hatsu should I create? There are hundreds of options, all with positive and negative sides. The simplest way to reach the peak of this world is to create a nen curse that spreads. The more people it affects, the more power it gains. It would hide from any nen users and once strong enough, take over them, increasing the strength as a whole.
But there are probably guards to prevent it. If I could think of an ability like this, what is stopping everyone else? And the shier influence it would have on the world would trigger all sorts of divination warning bells. In short, that would be bad. At most I could do a lot of damage before someone sacrificed himself to erase my existence. There are probably dozens of orphanages breeding children for this purpose alone. A power that a single person can wield when sacrificing their everything is truly enormous. The Kurapika effect is a fearsome thing even when handled by nobodies. And 17 used just the weakest one to almost surpass me in months. And if I taught him everything I knew, he would have done it far sooner.
Another thing would be to create some sort of gamer ability, which would allow me to increase my talent through some process. While it has a lot of merits, I still don’t have enough power to create it. No matter how hard I try, the system I could create would be weak or restricted enough to lose most of its usefulness.
A powerful hatsu could use the memetic effect and create hazardous information. Just seeing the picture, reading words, hearing the sounds, observing patterns and everything else could spread some sort of information that could have hazardous properties. I could even allow it to mutate and destroy the entire world. As fascinating as it would be to try, I don’t want to choose this path. Well there already is some existing harmful information, which affects the human brain. I am not sure if it works in this world, but it would be nice to try. If I recall correctly, it is called the McCollough effect. To ‘activate’ it, you first need to look at two images interchangeably, before looking at the third. This can somehow change the human brain, to produce errors in vision for up to three months [This is legit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McCollough_effect I saw it on a Tom Scott video it was interesting. This plus a mention of the memetic effect in the story I once read]

An interesting one would be chaos clouds. It would simply create a cloud, inside of which everything is destroyed. If anyone wanted to remove the cloud, they would have to use more aura than was used to create it. If this is not true, the cloud would expand and increase the limit to remove it. This would be extremely useful in fights, but I like control far too much to create an ability opposing it. Since chaos is the opposite of order and I can’t think of any ways to follow my mindset, it would be difficult. I could try to increase the stability of everything inside, but that would bring its own set of problems. On top of all that, I don’t have a large enough pool of aura required to use it effectively.
A similar one would be an endothermic aura. An aura that absorbs all sorts of energies from its surroundings and when it hits the critical mass, a point when the supplied energy no longer had the ability to hold it together, exploded with all of the accumulated power.
There are a lot of classic abilities, allowing one to become a warrior. Anything from creating powerful weapons to becoming a samurai shooting ki blasts and void shattering slashes. They aren’t anything special, just the most basic of abilities that are mostly useless when fighting an intelligent opponent. They just give you some passive boosts and some neat tricks while fighting normal opponents.
While on the topic of enhancement, one of its basic properties would create a powerful assasination hatsu. Increasing the volume of liquids. Just adding a few restrictions could create a powerful ability to expand the blood in the target’s brain. The sensitive blood vessels would burst if there was too much blood and increasing its volume by four times would be a sure way to kill most opponents.
A despicable and mostly annoying ability would be to create an ATD. An aura transmitted disease. Coming into contact with others could trigger some sort of reaction. This could easily spread through most people and they would be prime targets for follow up abilities, even ones as minor as using some of their aura or surveillance.
There are many abilities that can see the future, so the next one shouldn’t be that difficult. To create a Laplace's demon, aka something that can calculate the future. Inside of the predicted future, the user would be fully conscious and able to regress back in time, but not before he started calculating. If the ability proved to be too taxing, allowing some time to pass in the real world would also be a viable option.

Speaking of options, there are many to choose from when thinking of already existing abilities in fiction. They might be weaker, since there is no connection between them and me, but it would still be somewhat useful. Bungee gum was probably quite a bit stronger because of the resonance with Hisoka’s past.
And with all of my past knowledge, I should be able to create a business empire. One filled with revolutionary concepts and ideas, enough to dominate the market. I will still make an empire such as that, but I won’t stamp an ability on it. Maybe one of my future students could do it for me. Something like, for every ten thousand jenny earned, the aura pool expands by 1 aura point. While this might be low at first, it would stack up once I earn billions. And with all the inventions I could bring to the market, there would be no way I wouldn’t make it far. But alas, I am not so interested in finances.
A thing I am interested in is evolving further. Be it through taking other’s talent or improving my own through changes in the genetic structure, it would bring great benefits. But with every passing year, I find it less and less likely to work. It still might, but the fearsomeness of the Kurapika effect would be too much to bear. If he could attain so much power, it would be difficult to gain much of what he sacrificed for it.
What I could do is to create a nen beast that evolved for me. It would hold all sorts of traits I find interesting and under some conditions transfer them to me. In most cases, I would have a strong beast STANDing by my side, fighting for me and in the worst cases, having it possess me and give me all of its attributes raising my combat strength.
As difficult as that would be, it would bring results. There would undoubtedly be many visits to dangerous places in my future, seeing and defeating even the most vile of creatures, but even if there aren’t many, there is the entirety of the chimera ant race, as well as their homeland, the dark continent.
And not forgetting the technological abilities. Anything from making young children insanely smart and dedicated to research, encouraging them to develop abilities of their own to increase their speed and adding more and more people to spread it to just influencing the already existing scientists to work under one banner. And besides that, there could also be abilities that solve mathematical paradoxes and issues, which could bring revolutionising ways of thinking. With those kinds of abilities, technological supremacy would only be a matter of time.
Such abilities would bring quite a lot of power to anyone. And every single last one of them could have sub abilities enhancing their strength even further. There are just so many things that would be nice to have. But alas, I, as of now, am but a single person. I will have to choose a path. A path I will carve out to greatness.
Well right now I am but a blind man trying to find his way, so until I gain sight, I might as well do something else.
And as if planned, I heard the call to leave. I took one last look in the empty room, all signs of my presence buried half a dozen meters underground. It was painful to leave, but I have a whole new life in front of me. With a trunk in hand I left the room.
Taking one last look at the island I called home for 7 years, I boarded the ship. With a strange expression I watched, as the island disappeared behind the horizon, before heaving a sigh and looking at the endless ocean holding infinite possibilities.

The carnomancer

But with a tyrannical empire beginning to prepare for a bloody war the signs of turmoil begin to loom on the horizon. Adimir will face numerous challenges. Both challenges to those native to this world, and against other people have come from earth. Author's comment: I'll be uprfont with you on the entire war thing that the description hints at. Yes it will eventually happen, and many of the strange and out of place things in the beginning will tie into that. Not that it will be explained until much later in the novel. In fact the first 100 or 200 chapters will be spent on the main character growing stronger as an adventurer before the entire war even begins to start rearing its ugly head. So for those eager for the war to kick off sorry, but there won't be a big explosive war so early. At least not with the empire (although if you read carefully you may be able to pick up signs of how close the war is with what happens in the story). But the wait (I hope) will be worth it as it will be diving into some of the stuff a otherworlder in a significant position of power could do with the right knowledge. With that little warning over with I hope you enjoy this novel of mine. Its my first actual attempt at writing a story for people to read so please keep that in mind. If you have any criticism please tell me. I'd love to read them and will be using them to help me in improving my writing quality as time goes on. Experience is the best teacher after all.

Wanna Join a Band? (TodoBakuDeku)
Izuku Midoriya was a college student, just trying to get his teaching degree. He had been living in the sam duplex house for a year now and hadn't had any problems with the elderly woman who lived below him. She was a quiet and lovely neighbor. Until she died. Sike, I'm not that terrible guys. She just got put into an assisted living thing. Which meant the bottom floor was up for rent and it didn't take long for Izuku's landlord to find a new tenant, or tenants. Katsuki Bakugou and Shoto Todoroki were the two guys that moved in below Izuku. They were also in a band. A very loud band. Izuku was close to going crazy with all the noise he now had to live with and the two wouldn't quiet down, even after he asked, multiple times. Eventually, Izuku listens to them practice so much, one of their songs gets stuck in his head. He takes out the trash, not even realizing that he was singing it softly to himself. Until the two boys hear him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Izuku threw the bag into the dumpster on the side of the house, softly singing the lyrics that were now stuck in his head. "Hey, that's our song." A voice said from behind him. Izuku snapped his attention to the two guys sitting on the stairs of his front door. "It's stuck in my head because neither of you seem to have common courtesy to practice somewhere else." Izuku snapped back, not wanting to deal with either of the arrogant males.Shoto seemed unfazed by his attitude. "You've got a nice voice." He mused. Izuku eyed him suspiciously, not trusting his compliment. "Thanks I guess." He muttered. "Wanna join a band?"
