《Journey to Another World.... because of my Neighbour》Prologue: Death and Reincarnation

I was standing in the middle of nowhere, all around me. Nothing.
Well except for a 10 ft tall beefy dude eating what looked like chicken nuggets. There was nothing but darkness, I didn't even know what I'm standing on. Also, how could I see if there was no light source?
"Hi there," I asked the beefy man.
"Oh, you awake? Good, well I don't know how you could pass out when you're already dead but anyway"
"Wait! I'm dead?" I wouldn't just believe anyone who said I'm dead unless I'm standing in the darkest place I have seen and could still see things.
"How did I die? " When I asked him that he started avoiding eye contact with me.
Then he said, let me introduce myself first.
"I am the God of Death, Destruction, and Chaos, the almighty Bratus."
"Hi... I'm Ishant, pretty sure I'm human, soo how did I die?"
"You see I like to punish people who have become so evil that they start attracting the attention of other evils, anyway your neighbor was an aerial killer who used to kill children... I got angry and blew up the whole house... And with it your room and you."
"So I died because my neighbor was a serial killer?"
"Ohh don't look at me like that... See I can like make you alive again, not in your world though since it's already been a couple of million years there"
"Wait what, when did that happen? Was I passed out for so long?"
"Ever heard of time dilation? Anyway, I'll find some other God and send you to one of the other ones. There are all kinds of worlds... You can choose whatever kind you want. Isn't that exciting?" He looked at me with pleading eyes. That was one timid God of Destruction...

Though as a gamer and someone who loved reading light novels, this was an opportunity. I mean yeah I'll probably miss my family but if they're already dead then going back to my old world is just not worth it.
"Is there a world-like game? You know like level ups and skills stuff?"
"Who knows there probably is," he said putting a hand on his chin.
"You do, you should know, you're the God here"
"You're a human, do you know every... Every... Every food?"
"Okay okay so how are you gonna send me"
"Oh I've got some friends, I already called her, she's in charge of traveling between worlds, she should be here in a second, or a month."
Well apparently it only took her three days, and to keep me company Bratus was here, he liked talking.
On the third day, a lady in blue came. Like almost everything she was wearing was blue.
"Hi I'm Vinatee, are you the one who I need to send to another world?"
"Yup, also do you know any game-like world, with skills and stuff, if there's I wanna go there"
"Let me find it"
It did not take her more than a second to find it.
"It's... What do you say, game like? Or maybe your games were this world like, anyway I'll be sending you now. Bye"
She didn't even let me say goodbye to Bratus. And suddenly everything shifted.

I Have Even Read the Rulebook!
As all stories begin, Prof died. Yes, truck-kun had something to do with that, but also a bird, a cat and some rebar. When he was presented with with the opportunity in the Afterlife Administration Bureau to be transmigrated into a game-like fantasy world, he did something, no one ever did: he read the Rulebook. Follow Prof on his road to be rich without working, touring a whole new world without a care and witness his realisation, that despite having read the Rulebook the folks living with the System for untold millennia know more about the rules. Important notes: 1, I'm not a native speaker, so be prepared for occassional typos, iffy grammar and maybe awkward sentences. The spell check was running, when I wrote the chapters, but it works in strange ways... If you point out mistakes, I will try to correct them 2, Scheduling will be two chapters a week, posted Saturdays before noon (CET). Depending on how much new chapters I can write consistently there will be probably more but as long as I have leftover chapters, the two per week will be posted no matter what. Chapters will be around 1500-2500 words as MS Word counts it. 3, I did not and will not post this novel on another site, if you find it somewhere else, please inform me 4, The Main Character's progression is slow, there will be no Levels, Skills, Abilities, Feats, Perks and Cheat Powers raining down on him 5, I've put Comedy as a genre because of my writing style not because the novel is a comedy per se. On the other hand, Traumatising Content is there because there is a lot of speciesism - those Elves are not nice people. 6, I put a lot of pop-cultural references into the chapters, try to find them! Enjoy!

In The Shadows (Star Trek TOS/AOS)
Gweynneth Rosenwyn (roz-EN-win meaning "fair rose.") Morvoren (mor-VOR-en, meaning "mermaid" or "sea maiden.") Congdon-Williams was new engineer/helmsmen on board the USS Enterprise under the command of Captain James T Kirk. A close friendship between the two quickly formed and that friendship became love. I wrote this on two devices (School PC Google account and Apple notes) so the main characters name changes because of rubbish autocorrect.
