《Creating a world can't be that difficult, right?》Prologue

Everything started in an instant.
It was as if every single person in the world downloaded a chunk of information directly into their brains.
At that moment everyone knew that God had gifted something to humanity. They knew that, from that day onward, every person will be able to create their world to manage it like a deity. But more importantly, they knew that even if that power was a gift, it was a test too.
It was a test made to decide who would become God's successor. Only those who created the best worlds would be worthy of becoming the next God.
Like that, almost everyone began to create their worlds. It didn't take long before someone began to understand how the world worked and it took even less for someone to realize that you could steal materials and progress from other people.
With that realization came chaos.
Everyone began to fight each other, trying to reap the most benefits possible from each encounter.
In this precarious situation, groups and small organizations began to appear to defend themselves from the outsiders. In a few weeks, most people were part of some kind of organization and only those who didn't care about the God's successor thing or those who have been creating problems for others and were rejected from those groups were left alone.
At that moment, chaos began to become order and in every city, a few big organizations began to rise above others and amass the most of the creators for themselves. At that time the governments of the world couldn't stand indifferent anymore. All the changes that the world has been through were too bizarre, so new laws and regulations began to appear to try to control the situation more effectively.
From that point onwards everything became silent, but conflicts continued forming in the shadows. Battles between organizations were happening every time some rumor spread about a new technique or way to improve the world.

That caused every group and person to become very careful about their information and powers. That became the norm for a few months until an almost unknown youtuber uploaded a video called "10 tips that you must know to start world-building like a pro!". This video became viral in a few hours with millions of views all around the world.
With this, topics like "add-ons", "synergies", "power systems" or "energetic efficiency" became the mainstream in every corner of the internet. Little by little, the organizations became a little more open again, the market for techniques and information began to grow more and more until a great global organization appeared.
This new organization was called "The Creators Guild" or "The guild" as most people referred to it. The guild was a neutral organization supported by most of the world's governments working together with a great number of experts.
The guild's main activities were the organization of the official tournaments, the creation of an online creator's ranking, and the instruction of a great number of experts capable of evaluating and classifying in levels the different add-ons and techniques that creators used.
In just a few months the world changed forever.
Thousands and thousands of creators became professionals and began to compete between themselves as the society found a new entertainment in watching the fights of worlds.
The best creators became as famous as athletes or artists, becoming idols that people admired and respected.
Watching these fights, a lot of people that had abandoned their worlds decided to recover their progress, aiming to become famous like one of those people that they saw on the internet or the TV.
One of these people that was recovering their worlds was going to become a great creator someday…

This is the story of a guy… Nah, just kidding. I’m Neant, nice to meet you. I know, weird name, didn’t choose it… Actually, I did. Well, I’m probably not one to be trusted blindly. What follows is some sort of summary of my life, narrated by no other than good old me. You get the privilege of learning about my story from my own point of view, isn’t that great ? How I vanquished galaxy-sized foes, how I met extraordinary people, how I created entire species… You know, regular stuff. If you’re reading this, know that what I did wasn’t exactly pro-bono. Sure, it felt nice to do good for once, but I expect a lot in return. I expect a thriving world, a sane society, and a solution to our little problem. So, don’t slack off ! The Triumphs and Tribulations of Kai Jameson
Kai Jameson is an average everyday young man. He still lives at home with his parents after having just graduated from college. He loves playing video games and his job at the local Buy More is tolerable. Of course that all changes the moment the system arrives and the Earth is connected to the Nexus. Turns out Kai was trapped in time for about eighteen months while the people already here got a headstart on him. He lucks into being rescued by some people from a town called Donnyton and learns that if he wants to survive in this New Earth he'll have to work harder than ever before. The rewards are worth it. This is Kai's story, the moments of his triumphs, and the moments when he feels that things couldn't possibly be worse. Thanks to puddles4263 and his story The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound for the inspiration on the world this is set in. If you have never read that I highly recommend it, and if you have read it and enjoyed that story then I hope you'll enjoy mine as well. This is the first story I'm ever putting out for public consumption so reader beware on that. Any constructive criticism is always appreciated, simply leaving a half star review tells me that you're a moron who doesn't know how to use words. I'm constantly trying to improve my writing and feedback and criticism on what works and what doesn't is the only way to do that at the point I feel I am at. Last, I just marked all the content warnings because you never know where a story will take you and I don't want to exclude anything (though there will never be a harem). I am going to release 1-2 chapters per week on Fridays. Thanks and enjoy.
