Amilla and Felix lived during the gladiator days of Pompeii. Demetri also was there and there friend as well. She just a simple maid but after watching one of Felix's fights, he was carried out and was told that he 'Died' Amilla then wanted revenge so she started to train to become a gladiator. Demetri tried to talk her out of it but being stubborn she did it anyway.

Amilla trained everyday and soon made it to the top and became known as the toughest female in the world. Even after her fights Amilla still didn't get many marks and was nicknamed "The Rose" because she was both beautiful and deadly. Then one night after another victory, Amilla met a paled-skin man. His hair was a very light blonde but what stuck out the most about him was his piercing blood-red eyes that seemed to be looking right through her.

He greeted her saying that she was an amazing fighter and that his name is Cauis. Amilla knew that he was a vampire because she met a female vampire that she became friends with awhile ago.

They met every night after that but on one of those nights she was confronted by a hungry looking vampire that clearly wanted blood. The vampire was able to turn into a large-scary wolf, almost like a werewolf and attacked her.The vampire bit her many times leaving many bloody marks on Amilla when Cauis appeared.

Cauis was about to go after the supposed werewolf but held back to try and save Amilla, but he thought that it was to late when her heart stopped. In-rage Cauis took off to hunt down any werewolf that he met along the way while trying to find the'werewolf' that attacked Amilla.

The next day she woke-up to discover that she became a vampire unlike any that she knew about. Heart-broken, Amilla grabbed her stuff and ran away from Pompeii. Traveling around the world, Amilla made sure to avoid other vampires and always had a dagger that Felix gave to her before he was killed.
