I stand in the middle no shore seems closer

I can return so easily, just as I could go

The stains here received may not change

The path from each appears to be mirrored

Yet to wade further gives me pause

The current gives me no guidance

Tepid, and still no urgency can be felt

A sweet breeze blows from coast to coast

Shall I turn, I will not find my way

For I am in blood, neither shore will I know

There remains more than two routes

Shall I remain above, or go below?
