《Dawn Of The Lilies》Trickster

He sat perched on the wall looking down into the valley below. The silent night had shadows stretching out from the trees, reaching greedily for areas that the moonlight held. It was fascinating much like how he felt when he pulled his tricks to get the things he wanted.
A breaking twig to his right broke the silence, stirring his thoughts as he leaned over to see what had caused it. A lanky boy was bent down petting a white rabbit. Well, that's what it looked like until a light started shining brightly from his hands. The rabbit twitched its legs then scurried away; the boy leaned back an adorable boxy grin playing across his soft face. He must have felt someone watching him because he jumped up looking hastily around before he too ran off into the night.
Jimin grinned.
"What are you looking at?" Her sweet voice commanding his attention. Addi didn't like when she wasn't the center of his attention. Which made it easier for him to get her to do most of the deeds he needed done. Tonight's task was to acquire a flaming rose from a Night Halo. A flaming rose is almost exactly how it sounds. Except it required a good bit of mischief for them to use it. Addi liked mischief as much as himself. So, it should have been a piece of cake.
"Why do you need it Jimin?" Addi asked playing with his earring dangling from his ear.
"I need it for an elixir I'm working on."
"You can't just ask for it?"
"That type of thing you can't get by asking. It requires anger, and a sense of authority." He said calmly jumping down from the ledge and slipping into the shadows below it. Addi clung to his shoulder her little wings flicking nervously.

"Oh...okay." she smiled still unsure of what was going on. But, the thrill of it soon took over.
"There..." Jimin pointed toward the stone walkway. The steady clicking of boots echoed in the cool night air. Sliding his hands along the cold brick, they began to crumble, falling over into the valley. The clicking increased, a man in black slacks, and a halfway buttoned up shirt appeared his tan skin showing from the opening. A hat pulled down over his dark eyes, and his lips tugged in a grimace.
Clearly his peaceful walk being interrupted caused him a great inconvenience. Because when his eyes saw the wall crumbling, his shoulders slumped, and his head fell back groaning.
"Ugh... every friggin time..."
Mind you Jimin had been doing this for the last three days. He needed the flaming rose, this guy just didn't seem to get angry or maybe he lacked authority. The Halo symbol on his hat that was now on the ground said otherwise.
"Your turn Addi..." She giggled when Jimin whispered to her, making the man's head roll forward to look in their direction. He sounded like he was growling, that stopped though when Addi made sparks shoot up out of the ground around him. An ORB darted by in the air hovering for a little longer than a second then disappeared over the building opposite the wall.
"Aaaah!! Ahh! Stop!" The Halo cried out panicking hopping around to avoid the hot sparks. Jimin stifled a laugh stepping out from the shadows his face concealed by a silver moon scarf.
Addi stopped her eyes glinting in the light. The Halo stood breathing hard, his hands grasping his knees. He narrowed his eyes when he saw them.
"What's your purpose!" He demanded an answer, however Jimin just paced around him silently. He could feel the man's anger boiling to the surface. The air around him sparking with static electricity.

"Answer me!" He bellowed, coming unhinged with every quiet step Jimin took around him. Flames licked at his fingertips, making Jimin smile a feeling of triumph coursing through him.
A low guttural growl escaped the man's snarling lips as he stood, spinning his hands in a circle pulling them back to his chest. His eyes glowed red when he flung his hands forward at Jimin.
POP!
The boy from before appeared a blue light around him consuming the flaming rose. The Halo tensed up his hands still engulfed in red fire.
"Joonie..." he whispered shaking his head to clear his hair from his brow. The light flickered out, and the Halos anger dissipated.
"Tae...You really can't interfere with a Halo's judgement." He was calm now, his eyes fading back to a warm brown. The boy called Tae smiled jutting a thumb in Jimin's direction.
"He was just toying with you. The wall isn't crumbling. Look."
The Halo stared at the once crumbling wall. It looked as it always did. Vines of honeysuckle climbing up it, and the occasional yellow lily. Aside from that no signs of damage. He groaned loudly turning toward a very unpleased Jimin. The fairy on his shoulder didn't seem bothered at all. Just happy to be where she was on him.
"What's your purpose?" The Halo demanded again. The boy stood rocking back and forth on his feet all innocent, as if he hadn't stolen the flaming rose from him. Jimin glared at him then shifted his glare to the Halo.
"Nothing now. my plans have been thwarted."
"Then I suggest you get home." He spat clearly still angry. Jimin lingered for a second with a single curious look at Tae he ran away, scaling the wall and dropping to the ground below.
"He's been messing around out here every night for the last couple days. I couldn't hold my anger anymore..." the halo complained as another ORB flew by. "Did you hear about the man who got his ribs crushed, and his hand broken?" He asked Taehyung.
"What? When?"
"A little over a week ago... the ORBs caught it on relay. We ruled it out as self-defense. Although it was brutal, even the witch doctor couldn't heal him all the way."
"Why do you guys always go to that guy... he makes it worse more than he does fixing them..." Taehyung rolled his eyes.
"Rules..." the Halo went on about how we must abide by them and look after one another. Sending Taehyung deep into his thoughts.

TAEHYUNG
Hmm... I wonder if it was Jungkook who beat the man. How can they determine his actions?
"Was it the Robot Boy?" I asked. Namjoon looked over at me, his face tired. "He's the reason for most of the attacks... but we have been ordered to...." He stopped his face went slack a white film covering his eyes. Several minutes later his head jerked frowning at me.
"I can't tell you that...."
Of course, he couldn't. I just shrugged pretending I didn't care. But... I cared too damn much.
"Well... I best get home before my dad starts to worry."
Namjoon smiled at me then continued patrolling down the road. One thing I didn't like about Halos. They had no control over the information in their minds. Something took it away before they could give the confidential information. A sad life really, they chose that life though. To serve the current leader of the burrow.

A Requiem For The End
Yuga wakes up on a cold, frigid land entirely covered in snow. Where was he? Who was he? Neither of these could he remember but he didn't have time to think of it, he could tell danger wasn't far. A quick death if he failed to avoid it. It was fast approaching and much as he tried to escape, it quickly caught up with him. Luckily he had survived, but was he just lucky or was there something more to him.....? A Requiem For The End is a fantasy story set in a world.......well, quite different from most stories you might have seen (I honestly don't know how to better describe it). Early into the story (prologue) the world feels elusive because you slowly learn about it through the eyes of Yuga. As you read on questions may arise in your mind and mysteries will present themselves. The answers to them will come the further you read. I'd like to think the plot is a bit larger than the average and same goes for the world building. If you find this story intriguing then all I can say is - There's a lot for me to tell, hop on?
