《THOSE SUMMER NIGHTS》[10]

simply beautiful. There were small stores that stood next to the hotel, standing bright and tall in comparison to the others. The entrance was tall and arched way above our heads. Double windows stacked high up the building.
The building stretched far to the right and far to the left. At the very top of the building were blue domes, topping off the building nicely. I marveled at the general architecture. Even the bright lights lighting up the dark sky were making it a hundred times better.
The inside was even prettier.
"Woah," I heard Jude say under his breath.
The lobby was as spacious as a hotel in London could be. The room opened up into a warm and cozy lobby, but it looked just downright beautiful. Tall potted plants, vintage chairs, huge pictures of palaces and gardens, surrounded everywhere we looked.
"Holy shit," Leah breathed, "We get to stay here a week?"
I nodded, "Apparently,"
Atlas walked ahead of us and stopped in front of a low desk. A lady with short blonde hair and an upturned nose looked at Atlas, a questioning look on her face. I hated her already.
"How can I help you, love?" She asked, eyeing him.
"How can I help you, love?" I mocked her British accent in Julia's ear. I rolled my eyes as Julia laughed.
"Why the hell is she eyeing him like he's candy?" I asked.
Julia smirked, "Jealous now?"
I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, you wish, love."
I mentally rolled my eyes as she continued to talk to Atlas about our room arrangement. Most of the people's accents I've heard, we're nice. Her accent made me want to claw my eardrums out.
I listened in on what they were saying. Apparently, we only had three rooms, so everyone had to share. Two of the rooms had two beds while one only had one Queen-sized one. Before my slow brain could figure out what that meant, Dawson, Leah, and Julia screamed out all at once.
"I want my own!"
"I call the other one!"
"I am so not sharing with Jude, he kicked me last time." Dawson winced as if remembering the time brought him pain.
I pouted, "But-"
Before I could get two words out, Atlas started to say something but was cut off by Jude.
"No, no. Atlas, I'm taking the last bed." Jude huffed.
I looked from Leah to Julia helplessly. I then looked at Atlas who was already looking at me. Then the embarrassment of the situation finally started to settle in.
"So I have to..." There was no need for me to finish the sentence, everyone was already nodding. I huffed, crossing my arms. I peeked up at Atlas to notice that he wasn't so pleased with the arrangement either. He had a scowl on his face.
He finished up with the lady and when she handed him the cards, she smiled widely at him. He smiled, taking them in his hands.
"If you need anything, just ring!" She smiled widely. She smiled so wide I thought her cheeks would split open.
I scowled as I saw Atlas wink at her and turn around handing us each a card. I frowned when he didn't hand me one, but before I could ask, he was already off.

We grabbed our suitcases and piled into the empty elevator. I stood in silence trying to prepare myself for the level of awkwardness Atlas and I were about to face in that room.
Dawson was talking like no tomorrow and Leah and Julia were listening to him with amused looks on their faces. Jude kept rolling his eyes at the stupid things he'd say. Atlas was quietly scrolling through his phone.
When we finally reached the third level, we filed out of the elevator. Julia turned to me and smiled, "We're in room 317. Which one are you guys in?"
"Oh, I actually have no idea." I glared at Atlas's back. He paid me no mind.
Leah went up to him, "What room are you guys in?"
He pointed down the other hallway, "Room 329."
Leah nodded and turned to me, "Well, now you know."
I frowned as she walked towards me. She patted my cheek lightly, "You can come sleep with one of us if it gets too bad."
I nodded, smiling at her gratefully. "Thank you," I whispered back.
She nodded and rolled her suitcase down the hallway to catch up with the others. Now it was just Atlas and me in the hallway. I opened my mouth to say something, but he grabbed his suitcase and rolled it down the other hallway. I let out a sigh and followed him.
He finally stopped in front of room 329 and I watched him pull out a card and slide it into the slot, unlocking the door. He swung the door open and walked in. I followed him, letting out a small yawn.
The first thing I noticed was that there was a Queen-sized bed and a couch. And with just my luck, it wasn't a couch you could sleep on, it was small and you could barely fit your butt on it. Not even mines, let alone Atlas's.
My eyes widened as I realized what just went through my brain. I did not think Atlas's butt was bigger... well bigger than mine at least.
I awkwardly rolled my suitcase to the side and felt my knees buckle in exhaustion. I stretched my arms over my head and let out a small yawn. I snapped back to focus. I couldn't feel sleepy yet, I had a problem to deal with right now. Where would I be sleeping?
I sighed and sat on the floor, flipping open my oversized suitcase. I looked through it for a pajama set and finally found one that I thought was pretty cute. It was a pair of shorts that had little pandas on them and a matching tank top. I grabbed some other things I'd need.
I bounded into the bathroom and frowned at the sliding doors. I hated them because there weren't any locks on them. I grumbled under my breath.
I walked in and shivered as my feet made contact with the cold tiled floors. I finally got used to the cold on my bare feet and shut the door. I then stripped out of my clothes and slipped on a new pair of underwear and my shorts. I picked up my shirt to slip on, but got distracted by the little soaps by the counter.

I picked one up and smelt it. I nodded a little. It wasn't bad. It smelt pretty fresh.
I then washed my face and ran my hands through my hair trying to yank out some of the tangles from my hair. I let out a yelp of surprise when the door slid open. My eyes widened and my cheeks reddened as I saw Atlas look me up and down and frown. I noticed that he was too shirtless.
I hugged my shirt to my chest, "Oh, my God. Get out!"
His eyes widened slightly and he turned around sliding the door closed, "You do know the door locks, right?"
I frowned, trying to keep my cheeks from overheating. My hands were shaking and my head was spinning. Also, what the fuck? The door locks?
I looked to the side of the door where the lock should be and frowned when I didn't see anything. I looked to the other side of the door and cursed to myself. There was a little button to the left and I pressed it. A little lever pushed out and I tried to open the door, but it didn't open.
"The little fucker..." I whispered to myself in embarrassment.
I huffed and slipped my shirt on, staring at myself in the mirror.
Way to go, Eden. Now he thinks we're weird and don't know how to lock doors. He also knows how we look with only a bra on. My cheeks flamed red once more.
I quickly brushed my teeth and rinsed my mouth out. I gathered my things from the bathroom and unlocked the door, stepping out. I spotted Atlas laying down on the bed dressed in the same pair of sweatpants he had on, but without a shirt. His arms were spread over his head and his eyes were closed.
I put my stuff away and cleared my throat. I watched him peek his eyes open and sit up. I looked at him and frowned, quickly turning away. I slipped my shoes back on and went for the door. As the door started to close, I saw Atlas get up and make his way to the bathroom.
I made my way down the hall looking for room 317. Once I finally reached the door, I knocked. Nobody answered.
I huffed and knocked again to which nobody answered. I frowned and put my ear against the door and heard nothing. I frowned.
Did they already fall asleep?
I don't know how long I stood there knocking, but I started to get tired. Who could sleep through persistent loud knocks like that?
With a quiet groan, I turned back around and back to room 329. I frowned when I realized that I didn't have a key.
"You've got to be fucking kidding me," I muttered to myself.
I raised my fist and knocked on the door. And with just my luck, nobody answered. My eyes widened and I started to knock faster.
No, I was not going to sleep in a hallway on my first night in London.
Just as I was about to give up and crash onto the floor from exhaustion, the door swung open. Atlas stood on the other side of the door with an irritated look on his face. I was ready to ask him if he was deaf or not, but I stopped short.
My eyes fell from his wet hair that was dripping onto his face, down to his wet chest and torso. As my eyes trailed lower, I realized that he was probably in the shower and stopped him with my annoying knocking. He had a towel wrapped around his waist and my cheeks flushed red as I saw his V-line disappear down them.
"What?" He asked, clearly annoyed.
I glared at him, deciding to ignore him. I pushed past him and kicked my shoes off across the room. I grumbled to myself as I untied my ponytail, letting my hair down around me. I quickly got under the covers and stopped as I noticed Atlas watching me with an amused smile on his face.
"What?" I snapped.
He shook his head and rolled his eyes, "Ever thought about anger management classes?"
My lips turned downwards and I glared at him. If looks could kill, he'd definitely would have been six feet under by now. I'd murder him, I decided. He wasn't needed. Nobody would miss him. I definitely wouldn't.
"Asshole," I muttered and turned around, shutting my eyes. I heard the bathroom door close and then the sound of the shower starting.
I turned around and closed the lights, listening to the sound of the running water and the cars out on the busy street.
I was finally starting to fall asleep when I heard Atlas walk out of the bathroom. Some rustling was heard, but I didn't turn around or open my eyes. After a while of that, I felt the bed dip slightly and the covers move.
I held in a soft gasp as I felt his leg touch my thigh. When he finally settled down, I started to breathe normally. I heard him let out a sigh.
I continued to pretend that I was asleep.
He turned around, but I couldn't tell whether he was facing me or not. Before I knew it, my eyes were starting to feel heavy even though they were closed.
As I was falling asleep, I thought I heard the sound of rattling or... a pill bottle shaking, but I was too sleepy to fully register it.
I then fell asleep and realized that the nightmares were back.
The way I had to research about the hotel and then proceeded to search up british accent. it lead me down a bunch of videos that went like Millie Bobby Brown being British for 5 minutes and 7 seconds or Louis Tomlinson being British for five minutes straight.
