《Take Me Down》16

Night hit and I was trapped in bed with him. He had begged, BEGGED to sleep in the same bed with me. This only complicated my escape, didn't make it impossible, just challenging.
I shifted under him, to see how fast he fell asleep. I rolled over to look at him, poking him in the chest. He didn't move and kept his eyes closed. I got up and went towards the washroom.
"Why are you still up?" He questioned groggily from bed and I cringed, coming up with a quick response.
"I have to pee," I said, then he sighed and rolled over. I got into the washroom, closing the door. I went over and sat on top of the toilet for a moment.
Damn it.
I would have to go back out there now that he is waiting for me. This whole escape thing was becoming close to being impossible with him around so much.
I flushed the toilet then went back out to the bed, laying down on the edge.
2 hours later, he was snoring. He had to be a heavy sleeper; there is no way someone can wake up extremely fast from snoring!
I rolled off the bed, landing on the ground without a sound. I went back into the washroom, pushed the window open ever so slightly and went into the shower, shifting into a little orange butterfly. Shrinking down to this size and being super light was one of the feelings I had never gotten used to. I flew outside quickly, and looked around.
Okay, I have no idea where I'm going. I was not familiar with the area what so ever and didn't have a clue as to what direction to even start in.
I kept flying in my form until I made it about half an hour away from his house. I landed, then ducked into a tree, shifting into an eagle. I lept into the air, flapping my wings hard, gaining speed. I kept flying until my wings felt like they would fall off, so I landed in another tree right outside some town. I thought for a moment it was the same town as before, but there was no church in sight.

I laid my head against the tree and let out a sigh. I jumped off the branch and landed on the ground, shifting into a blood hound.
Okay, I needed to find Avery. Once I find her, we can get the hell out of dodge, maybe even the US.
I breathed in the air, filling my lungs until I couldn't breathe in any longer. She was near by, thank the lord, but not close enough to be done my escape plan.
A terrifying howl sounded, and then sirens started. I shifted into my dragon form, hopping up into a tree.
He knew I was gone.
It wouldn't be long until they found me. I flew up into the air, turning completely invisible. That kid really helped me out here. As much as I knew a little about being invisible from a crystal dragon, the kid helped me fully achieve it.
I landed on the ground, a man looking around. I shifted into my human form before shifting visible. He pulled a knife around and threw it at me without looking. It caught me in the stomach and I screamed, notifying Aaron where I was. A ball of fire hit the man and engulfed him in flames.
He screeched, and I slumped to the ground in pain. I looked at the knife stuck in my stomach, feeling the sudden urge to pull it out and gripped it with both hands.
"Leave it in Amanda." Someone said behind me. I turned and there was Cassie. She literally appeared out of nowhere! I sighed and slowly laid back onto the ground as Cassie electrocuted Steve.
Avery picked me up and pulled us into the air. Something grabbed us and I looked at Cornelius' scales. Aaron yelled my name a few times, and I could hear him coming for us.
I ripped the knife out and gasped. Avery quickly covered my wound with her hands. I shifted, changing my scent so it would be harder to track us though it probably wouldn't do so good when it comes to my mate. Avery started to use her powers to heal the wound faster than it was healing.

I shifted into a doe, curling up in Avery's lap. Aaron, Steve, and John were hot on our trail. It felt horrible on the inside to leave my mate, but it was that or being enslaved for my entire life.
John and Steve had stopped, Aaron's scent disappearing.
He suddenly appeared out of nowhere and hit Cornelius with a thick tree limb. I shifted quickly, falling in the air. Steve caught me and sat me down on the ground. Aaron had Cornelius by the throat, and Avery pulled an ice sword out of thin air. They began to fight, Steve and John joining in along with Cassie as I tried to get their attention; none of my attempts to get their attention seemed to work.
I pulled the knife out of my pocket, looked at it for a few seconds in deep thought. I didn't like what I was about to do but I knew I had to in order to stop the chaos.
I lifted the knife in the air and jammed the cold steel back inside my flesh. I groaned, the feeling of the knife piercing my insides and I fell to my knees.
Aaron growled and looked at me, his eyes suddenly changing. They softened when he saw the knife in my stomach.
"You kill my friend's mate, I will continuously stab myself." I said, pulling the knife slowly out as I moaned in pain. Aaron shifted his eyes to Avery and her sword.
"These are your friends?" Aaron hissed, and I nodded slowly.
"It's all a misunderstanding. They thought you had captured me and were holding me hostage." I said, and Aaron's facial expression changed. He had a weary and questioning look in his eyes.
"Like what did you expect? Your father put a bounty out for her kind to get a pet for your sister!" Avery seethed, and Aaron's eyes snapped to me.
"You think my father is looking for a dragon?" Aaron questioned, his eyes scanning me.
Avery hesitated, knowing she had just made a very big mistake and was walking into a dangerous conversation. She looked over to me, her eyes telling me how sory she was. I glared back at her, almost as if communicating to her to be very cautious with her next words.
"Isn't that what he put a bounty out for?" Avery questioned slowly, her sword faltering in her hands. Steve shot fire at Avery and she shielded herself with a wall of ice. Cassie held a lightning bolt in her hand, unafraid of unleashing its uncontainable power.
"She's lying," John said, looking her over like a snake.
"Aaron, what do you want with these people?" Steve questioned, and Avery's wall of ice fell, along with her body. Cassie held her forehead, along with Cornelius, kneeling on the ground. John's eyes were a deep red, and his hands were glowing.
"Let them go," I warned, shifting my eyes green. I gripped the knife in my hand as if I was chocking a snake to death.
"And what if we don't?" Aaron questioned cooly, coming closer to me. I stood, looking him directly in the eyes. My eyes shifted to a deep red. I turned the knife, aiming it back towards myself.
"You will let them go," I said, and Aaron's eyes changed. This was the first time his look of disapointement with me had vanished; he looked at me as though seeing me for the first time and a devious smile creeped onto his face.
"Somehow I knew you weren't just a dragon," Aaron said, then the ground beneath me collapsed.

The Realm Beneath: A Dungeon Story
This is the story of a dungeon, not a reincarnated soul or a human trapped in a soul gem, but a dungeon. Born as a dungeon, it lives as a dungeon, and kills like a dungeon. Guided only by its experiences, vague ideas and knowledge from somewhere else and the mysterious system that greets it upon awakening it strives to build and live and learn. Immerse yourself in the tale as you read about the dungeon and the adventurers that challenge its depths, puzzles, traps and creatures. Read about the realm beneath as a world comes to life within a mountain in the centre of the land. Forests, swamps, deserts, tundra and more can all be found in the cavernous chambers that blossom with life. Author's note. There is an overarching plot that is more than just the dungeon getting bigger. I will be uploading at least one chapter a week until furthur updates on my schedule get posted and hopefully more once I finish off the other book i'm working on. You can expect me to try and craft unique challenges and floors, stuff you most likely haven't seen before in dungeon books whilst still having a hopefully decent plot. I can't promise much about it but I will certainly read all the comments, respond where appropriate and take on board suggestions. I promise to keep you updated and not drop away without saying anything. I would consider this to be part of the writers pledge but if circumstances force my hand I may have to drop it. (no plans) A Note on tags: Profanity: Not excessive but where i find appropriate. Gore: Well that depends how well I do my job doesn't it. If I can paint a vivid picture that has the potential to be gory, then my writing may be to an acceptable quality. Traumatising content: Again, this depends on my skill as a writer, I guess I hope you find it traumatising - no that’s not right. Well you know what I mean anyway. Hopefully I can paint a vivid picture in your mind that makes the book all the more special.
