Gabe refused to untie me all night, despite my begging. My shoulders and back ached and the skin around my wrists burned. Gabe rolled over in bed and pretended not to hear me. I stopped my pleas when I heard him slightly snoring.

I was unable to sleep and relief washed over me when I heard Gabe's alarm go off. He groaned as he reached over to shut off the noise ringing throughout the room. He sat up and dug the heel of his hand into his eyes. He looked down at my tear stained face.

"What have you learned?" Gabe asked.

I opened my mouth, but I hesitated. I was unsure of what to say.

"Lindsay," he said in a warning tone.

"To behave?" I said in a questioning tone.

Gabe raised a brow and I knew that I had to keep him happy to get out of these ropes.

"To behave," I said.

"Good." He brushed my hair off of my face and pressed his lips against my forehead. "Let's get you some breakfast."

I winced as Gabe untied the ropes from around my wrists. I stretched my sore muscles after he freed me. I pushed myself to sit up and Gabe wrapped his arms around me in a tight hug. He kissed my cheek before getting off of the bed.

My knees wobbled as I stood. I changed into a dress because I had been finding it harder and more difficult to button up my jeans because of my growing belly. Gabe and I walked hand-in-hand out of the room and into the kitchen.

Jenny was at the stove cooking breakfast. I gagged when I saw her frying up pieces of meat. I had always assumed it was Canadian bacon, but now I knew the truth. Jenny looked at us and smiled. I tentatively took a step back, and Gabe put his hand on my back.

"Lindsay is feeling better this morning," Gabe said.

"I still feel nauseous," I said. I needed to escape them trying to feed me this meat. "I think I need to go back to bed."

"I can bring you up a plate," Jenny said.

"No." Gabe shook his head. "Lindsay, you are going to eat with us."

I closed my eyes and let out a shaky breath. Gabe put his arm around my shoulders and forced me to walk forward. We walked into the dining room. Taylor and Dylan were already sitting at the table. They were staring at me as Gabe pushed me down into a chair.

"Make sure she doesn't get up," Gabe told his brothers. "I have to talk to Dad."

Gabe took his hand off of my shoulder and walked away. I crossed my arms over my chest and rubbed my arms. The two brothers did not stop staring at me. I glanced up to see Taylor's eyes locked on my chest. I raised my arms so that I was covering myself. I wanted to get up and follow Gabe, but I stayed in my seat.

Jenny walked in with the food and set it down on the table. The boys filled their plates full of meat and scrambled eggs. I bit down on my lip. I let my hand rub over my small bump of a stomach. Jenny looked at my movements and her lips spread into a wider smile.

"How has the morning sickness been?" she asked. "Are you still feeling sick?"

"Yes," I lied. "I don't think I can eat."

"How about some dry toast?"

Gabe and Noah walked into the dining room. Noah clasped his hands together before rubbing them. My heart pounded as my eyes darted between the two of them. I put both hands on my belly, hoping to gain some sympathy out of them.

"You ready to eat?" Noah asked me.

I shook my head. "No, I feel sick still."

"You're going to eat before you can lie down," Noah said.

Jenny put her hand on Noah's arm. He glanced over at her.

"I was going to make her toast," she said. "We don't need her throwing up again."

"That's not what is going to happen," Noah said. "She's going to eat a piece of meat."

"I'll be sick," I said.

Gabe pulled out the chair next to me and sat down. He took a fork and picked up a piece of meat before dropping it on the plate in front of me. He rubbed my back, and I did not move my hands from my stomach.

"One piece," he said.

"I'll vomit if I do," I said.

"We can get you a bucket."

I looked up at Gabe with wide eyes. He raised a brow and lifted his chin to gesture toward the meat.

"Eat," he said.

"I really can't," I said.

"I don't think this has anything to do with morning sickness," he said, calling me out on my lie. "You haven't been sick in more than a week."

"I have felt nauseous, but just haven't said anything."

"I want you to eat."

Gabe's tone was threatening. I let out a deep breath and removed a shaky hand from my belly. I picked up the fork and pushed the piece of fried meat around the plate. There was a sour taste of bile filling my mouth. I did not notice Noah leaving, but he came back into the room with a bucket and set it down next to my chair.

"Eat the meat," Noah said.

"I am going to be sick," I said.

"Then that is what is going to happen."

Gabe's hand, that was rubbing my back, went up to the back of my head. He grabbed a fistful of my hair and leaned in closer to me.

"Eat," he growled.

I took my other hand and grabbed the knife. I cut a small chunk of the meat off. I slowly brought it up to my mouth. Everyone's eyes were locked on my every move.

I put the meat into my mouth. The sweet taste touched my tongue and my teeth struggled with the chewy meat. The image of my dying friends filled my mind. I could almost hear the sound of them screaming and begging for their lives.

I gagged and vomited the meat into the bucket. Gabe leaned over and held my hair out of my face. I sucked in a deep breath before being sick again. Jenny rushed out of the dining room to get me a glass of water.

"Please," I said before I dry heaved. "Please, I feel so sick."

"I'm going to bring her upstairs," Gabe said.

"She needs to eat," Noah said.

"She'll try again tonight," he said. "I don't want her getting dehydrated."

Gabe stood and pulled me up with him. He curled me into his body and I buried my face in his chest. I focused on my breathing as we walked up the stairs so that I did not throw up on the carpet.

When we got to our room, I crawled into the bed. Gabe pulled a blanket over me and covered my body. I curled up into a ball. Gabe sat on the edge of the bed and rubbed my side.

"You did good," he said. "Mom is going to bring you some water and I want to make sure that you drink. I don't want you to get weaker."

"I will," I said.

"Good girl."

He brushed my hair to the side and kissed my temple before getting up and leaving the room.
