《Welcome To The Family》Preparation

"I don't want to do this, Jenny," I said as I got up off of the bed.
She smiled and set the veil down on the bed next to the wedding dress.
"It's going to be okay," she said. "You're going to have a good time."
"I'm not marrying, Gabe," I said. "I need to go home."
"You are home."
Those words still caused me to shiver. This was never going to be my family. I was not going to let them warp my mind like they have done to Jenny.
"This is not my home," I said.
"Yes, it is," she said. "You are part of the Wilcox family now."
I shook my head as I took a step back. I stepped back until I hit the wall. I looked behind me to see the bars on the window trapping me in.
"Let me help you put the dress on," she said.
"No," I said.
Jenny let out a deep breath. She picked the dress up off of the bed. I held my throbbing arm up to my chest as I shook my head.
"Please, put this on," Jenny said.
"I'm not doing it," I said.
Jenny turned and walked to the doorway. She popped her head into the hallway and looked each way.
"Noah!" she called out. "I need your help."
My heart pounded when I heard her ask Noah for help. I was destined for another punishment.
I wanted to run past Jenny and try the doors again. It would be useless though. I doubted that they would have forgotten to lock the doors. Plus, me pushing Jenny out of the way would get me further punished. They punished me for knocking her down onto the floor earlier. She used that radio to call for help from Noah.

The radio.
Jenny had a walkie-talkie. I could not find a phone anywhere in the house, but they did have a way to communicate to the outside world. If I got hold of the radio, I could call out to someone for help. There must be someone listening somewhere.
The antenna of the walkie-talkie was poking out from the pocket of her shorts. I had to get it before Noah came into the room.
I ran across the room. Jenny turned as I grabbed the antenna. Her eyes were wide and her jaw was hanging open as she realized what I was doing. I pulled the radio out of her pocket. She dropped the dress. She grabbed my shoulders and pushed me down onto the floor.
Pain shot up my arm as my elbow broke my fall. I yelped as I tried to push myself back. Jenny crawled on top of me.
I was holding the radio in my hand with the wounded arm. I stretched my arm up over my head to keep it out of her reach.
"Give it to me!" she shouted.
"No!" I yelled back.
Jenny grabbed my wounded arm. Her fingers wrapped around the gauze. She twisted her hand, re-splitting open the wound. I screamed and tears pricked at the back of my eyes as a fiery pain consumed me. My fingers involuntarily let go of the radio.
Before Jenny could reach for it, a hand grabbed her shoulder. Noah pulled Jenny back. I gasped as I tried to push myself back.
Noah put his foot on my chest. The air escaped from my lungs as he pushed down harder while leaning down. I grabbed his shoe and tried to push him off of me, but he was too heavy for me to move.

"Are you being a troublemaker?" he asked. "This is a day we're going to enjoy, and you are not going to ruin this."
Noah took his foot off of my chest. He grabbed my arm and pulled me onto my feet before pushing me down on the bed. Jenny picked the dress up off of the floor. Noah grabbed the hem of my dress. I grabbed his wrists.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"We have to get you changed," he said. "You lost your chance to get ready with Jenny."
I let out a scream as I punched Noah in the chest. He smirked as he ripped the blood-stained dress off of my body. I thrashed as I tried to stop him from undressing me. Jenny had unzipped the dress and had it ready.
"Put the dress on," Noah said.
I did not argue with him as I stood up and stepped into the dress. Wearing a wedding dress was horrifying, but being in nothing but my underwear in front of Noah was more disgusting. Jenny pulled the dress up before doing up the zipper.
The lace was yellowing and there were spots of crimson on the skirt. I wondered how many girls were forced to wear this dress. Was this something that has been going on for generations? The dress was much too big and the lace pooled around my bare feet. Jenny clasped her hands in front of her face as she smiled.
"You look beautiful," she said.
She picked up the brush and ran it through my short hair. I started crying again. Before coming to this house I never cried, but now they have reduced me to tears all day. I did not bother wiping the tears off of my cheeks as I sobbed.
I jumped when Gabe put his hand on the back of my head. He ran his hand down my hair before resting it on my shoulder.
"Stop crying," he told me. "We are going to have a beautiful wedding."
I sucked in a deep breath. I was locked in this house. There was no way that I could stop this. This could not be a real marriage anyways. It is not like there was a marriage certificate or anything. This was just for this family.
"Please," I made one last beg. I could not help myself.
"Get downstairs," Noah said.
Jenny took my hand and pulled me out of the room. I used my other hand to hold up the lace of the skirt so that I did not trip. I struggled to keep up with her excited pace as we made our way down the stairs. I looked behind me to see Noah was following.
Jenny guided me into the living room. Gabe was standing at the opposite end of the room. He had on a white buttoned up shirt and a pair of suspenders. He smiled when he saw me. My eyes jumped around the room to see Taylor and Dylan sitting on the couch. Jenny took a seat beside them.
"Let's go," Gabe said as he put his hand on the small of my back. "It's time to bring you into the Wilcox family."

Necromancer's Resolve
Foster Locke's life wasn't the harshest it could have been. But it wasn't the easiest either. Despite losing the last of his family and having immense debt thrown on him, getting the chance to keep practicing Martial Arts pulled away, and having a completely messed up sleep-schedule, he usually tried his best to stay positive to the outside world. Of course, that wasn't always possible, especially not when he was staring into the glowing eyes of a man-eating creature he had never heard of before. The glowing message-box that accompanied it wasn't much better either. Not to mention the fact that he was suddenly in a dark forest instead of the train station. This isn't a story of great anguish, inescapable peril, or heroic world-saving. Rather, it's one of a young man trying to get by in a world that seems to try his best to kill him. I hope you enjoy the read. --- Cover Image temporary [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Reborn Magician Tyrant [Old]
Author's Note #4: This is the old, hastily written version. A great magician from the Human Kingdom travels west to fight the Demon Kingdom. Finally, after eight long years of war, the Human Kingdom emerges triumphant! But, just as the Human Kingdom begins to celebrate the victory, an enemy from a land far to the east attacks! After rushing to help support the Human Kingdom capital against the assault, the magician is met with the sight of his beloved city razed to the ground. The magician fights off whatever invaders he can, using whatever tactics he knows, but he is eventually felled in combat due to the superior abilities of the invaders. However, death is not the end! The magician reincarnates, awakening as a citizen of the empire which conquered his home! Author's Note #3: Okay, that's the end for me. This is too boring for me to continue writing, and I've gotten back to writing Reborn as a Dungeon Core in an Apocalyptic World. At 26,772 words, this has gotten too boring for me to continue. I'm probably going to take this basic story and rewrite it into something way better w/ longer chapters, but at least I had fun for the six days it took to write this much. PS - Love the reviews; they're great. Way to go, dude with 22 thumbs up and 0 thumbs down!

The Flamelight Chronicles
This is a fantasy novel with a unique magic system. Imagine if Eragon, Kingkiller Chronicles, Benjamin Ashwood, and more had a weird group baby-- that's this book! It's like a coming of age high fantasy novel. Eligor is born into a world where everyone has magic. Your status in life is based on two things: your bloodline and your magical power. To Eli, who lost his parents, was born in a small town named Stathen--in which not a single person of true nobility lives-- and is the only person who seems to have no magical power, the world seems perfectly unfair. That is until one day everything goes horribly wrong and perfectly right.
