"Happy one year," Dylan said as he picked me up and spun me around in the parking lot. I had gotten my license yesterday so I drove to my first day of sophomore year in a truck. Sure it was rusted and old, but it was mine.
I kissed Dylan. "Why thank you," he said before giving me his killer smile that still made me blush.
"Get a room," Kim said with Alana by her side nodding her head.
"Get a boyfriend," I responded.
"By the way, congrats on the one year," Alana jumped in. She then high fived Dylan. I looked across the parking lot and saw Sam. She locked eyes with me and gave me a sad smile. It still did make me sad sometimes that we weren't still friends but I knew it was for the best. I could just say one thing about freshman year.
Thank God it's over!
