《My little freshman》Chapter 10

Levi POV
Today had to be one of the worst day this year so far.
I'm sick.
I almost never get sick buy when I do, its like a living nightmare. I currently have a fever, snotty nose, all that stuff.
Mikasa said she absolutely had to go to school and mom said she missed too many days of work, so I'm by myself. I've managed to drag out a old pair of sweat pants and and an old shirt as I was freezing. I was in my bedroom trying to stay warm with all the blankets I stole from around the apartment when my phone rang.
"Hello..."
"Hey baby, I saw you weren't at school today."
"I'm sick. Nobody's home and I feel awful."
"Aww, isn't Mikasa there or you're mom?"
"She's probably with friends. And my mom works really long shifts that change alot. Who knows when she gets back."
I pulled the phone away from my face as I grabed a tissue from the side of my bed and sneezed into it.
"Hang tight, I'm coming over."
"You don't have to do that..."
"Levi, you sound awful and there's nobody there with you. I'm coming over."
"I don't want you getting sick though."
"I've got a strong immune system. I'll be fine. See you in about ten, love you."
"Love you too."
He ended the call as I flopped back on my bed, trying to cover myself back up again as the covers fell down when I was talking with Eren. I could tell I was starting to lose my voice. Whenever my voice got scratchy and raspy is when I lose it.
I had lost the ability to breathe out of my nose awhile ago and my lips were so dry that chapstick couldn't even help it.

I was somewhat dozing off when I heard a knock on the door. That was probably Eren and I forgot that the door was locked.
I took the top blanket off my bed, wrapped it around me, and made my way to the front door. I opened it to see Eren standing there with a couple bags. He smiled a small smile when I looked up at him.
"Hi..."
He hugged me and ushered me back inside.
"I brought some things that could help. My mom happened to have made some of her homemade tomato soup yesterday, so I brought leftovers of that if you would like."
"That's fine."
"Your voice sounds awful. Come here."
I shuffled over to where he was and he felt around my throat like a doctor.
"What are you doing?"
"Checking if your tonsils are inflamed."
"How would you know what it feels like?"
"My major is Pre-medicine. Plus my dad's a doctor, so he kind of teached me this stuff. Just think of me as your personal nurse."
He hummed when he dropped his hands and pulled something out of one of the bags.
"Here's some throat spray. It should help numb it. Go lay back down. I'm going to heat this up."
He pushed me along as he searched for a pot to put the soup in. I grabbed the bottle and walked back to my room. I got under my layers of blankets and continued to shiver as I was still not warm enough. I closed my eyes for a couple minutes when I heard footsteps coming down the hall.
"I brought gifts."
He set the bowl on the nightstand and helped me sit up.
"It's to cold to sit up."
"Then maybe this will help."

He picked the bowl back up and set it in my hands. I picked up the spoon and stuck it in my mouth.
"This is good."
"I knew you would like it."
I eagerly finished the bowl and handed it back to him so he could bring it back to the kitchen. I propped myself up on my pillows and snuggled back into them.
"Here, I've got some stuff to help clear your nose."
He pulled out a tiny tub of stuff and opened it.
"This stuff always works."
He got some of the goop on his fingers and spreaded it under my nose. I could immediately feel my nose start to open up but the smell was so strong that it took my breath away.
"Vicks always works pretty good. Is it already working?"
"Yeah."
"Sorry, I should have warned you that the smell was pretty strong.
My nose started to run, so that was a good sign, but I needed a tissue.
"Is your nose running yet?"
"Yeah. I need a tissue."
"Okay, but be careful, don't rub it off."
He handed me a tissue and I carefully wiped my nose.
"I'm tired."
"Then lay down."
"Can you lay down with me?"
"You know I will."
He helped me set up the pillows and blankets so both of us would be comfortable. Once he was laid down, I laid my head on his chest and swung my leg over his legs. He pulled the covers up to my chin.
"You're so warm..."
He laughed at how I sounded but it was true. He was like my own personal heater. He drove my shivering away.
I soon fell into a restful seat.

Starlight Antiquities
There is a place in the galaxy that deals in antiquities of all kinds, human and non-human alike. Its inventory of artifacts is colossal as is its inventory of mercs who they hire to acquire any artifact a client may wish that is yet to come into their possession. The ill-reputable business is constantly rubbing against the changing tolerance of the Union's government, and there are many security officers who would love nothing better than to vaporize the whole place with its owners inside. Yet, there are many tasks that nobody can do better, especially in the vastness of deep space where Union law is worth less than the energy needed to display it. One of its jobs involves finding an artifact that may not only hold the future of the human race but may also disturb the balance of the whole galaxy. *** While waiting for the next season of Mandalorian and the Witcher, and rewatching Firefly for the gazillionth of time, I decided to write this space-based series. The series has some litRPG elements in it, but it does not read like one. So, you won't run into any blue screens here. Yet, I wanted to use litRPG to give another dimension to this whole story and make it as unique as possible. This is a work-in-progress. Hope to keep on improving and fixing my mistakes as I go along.
