《One Shots Compilation》The trip pt 2

The next morning arrives and I get up nice and early to get the kids ready. They both are excited to get out and see the snow. I can't blame them. We all have decided to get breakfast at the small buffet in the dining hall.
In the corridor you can see all these kids ranging from about thirteen down to one year old running around the corridor in their big coats hats and boots ready to start their skiing lesson.
As we are sitting in the dining hall I walk up to my brother Simon. He smiles and gives me a hug, the same protective hug he has always given.
"Are you doing the skiing lesson too?" I ask him.
"Yeah, Alice asked me to." I smile, Alice is his thirteen year old daughter.
"Well do you mind watching Jason and Ezra? Eliza already said she'd help but she's also go to learn how to ski herself." I say with a soft laugh.
"Yeah of course. How come you're not doing it?" He asks.
"I have a work deadline tomorrow. I need to finish it off." He smiles and nods.
"You're writing again? It's been over a year now." I nod and smile.
"Well the publishers wanted another story and it felt like the right time." He nods and smiles.
"Well once we head out why don't you grab your computer and sit out in the lounging area. Might get inspired." I give a soft laugh and nod my head.
Jason and Ezra are both happily plotting along with their uncle outside. Ezra is straight away in her uncles arms. Simon absolutely adores Ezra.
I walk back to my room and peel off the coat since I'm staying inside. I have my scarf, grey wooly cardigan, black Skivvy (turtle neck) grey extra wooly tracksuit pants and my boots. I grab my MacBook Pro and it's charger, walking back out to the lounging area that he was talking about.

There are nice comfy lounges and seats set up with coffee tables. There is a wall that is made out of windows with the middle or the wall is the chimney and fire place. Nice woodwork texture to the entire place. The carpet is soft and wooly, a toffee colour.
I sit down and start to write more chapters of my book. I am meant to show my published what I have so far, so I'll have to email it to him tomorrow.
"What's the matter?" I look up from my computer startled by the voice. I smile when I see Amalia.
"Pardon?" I ask her.
She smiles and sits in the chair in front of me, on the other side of the coffee table.
"You were frowning at the computer." I give a soft laugh.
"I have a work thing. It's nothing." She smiles.
"Right. You're new book?" She asks. I look at her shocked.
"You know about my books?" I ask her.
"You were on the best sellers list. Of course I do. I've read the two you have out. Impressive especially while being a full time mum and barely in your thirties." I smile and blush at her words.
"I would have had this one out sooner but my wife left me early last year so I was then stuck with two kids and a publisher who wanted me to do interviews and sign books and all that. It was a bit impossible to start anything new." I say honestly. I watch as remorse crosses over her features when she hears me say that my wife left me.
"I'm sorry that happened. I know how it feels... when I said I'm here with my husband. I'm here with my husband and his new wife. I only came up for Micah." I reach my hand out on hers. Micah is her son. He'd be about twelve now.

"I'm sorry. That sucks." I say honestly.
She clasps my hand with hers. Her eyes not leaving mine. She gives a soft smile and leans over, brushing hair back from my face, tucking it behind my ear for me. I smile and blush lightly. She always did have an affect on me.
"If there's one thing I miss the most about when you worked for me. It'd have to be that last day. When you walked into my office, closed the curtains, locked the door and walked right over to me. You were so cute when you demanded something. Or had your heart set on doing something. I stood up to talk to you and ask what was going on and you just pressed your lips against mine." I blush and give a soft laugh as I remember that day. I made a fool out of myself.
"You know. I never got to respond." I blush.
"I knew it was wrong. That's why I didn't give you time to." I said honestly.
"I wish you would have. But at the same time I don't know how I would have responded. I had feelings for you. That's for sure but I had a two year old and a husband at home during that time." I go wide eyed.
"You has feelings for me too?" She gives a soft laugh.
"Come on now. You must have known I had been flirting with you." I blush and smile.
"Yeah, I picked up on it. But I didn't know if it was just your personality or if you really did like me." She caresses my hand with her thumb. The same hand that she's still holding.
"I do." My heart beat starts going erratic.
"You did or do?" I ask.
"Both." I close my laptop and move it aside so I can lean over the short distance of the table and press my lips lightly to hers, my hand cupping her cheek as I do.
"We should probably talk somewhere private." She says with a soft smile. I nod my head and let her lead me to her room. It's a single room, with only her things in the room.
We sit down on the couch in the room. She's sitting right beside me. I haven't been this close to her in year. And even after all those years I still feel the same way as I did before.
"I know your life seems chaotic at the moment with your kids and writing your book. I don't want to complicate your life anymore than it is. But you're not my employee anymore and we're both single. I don't see why we don't give this a shot." I smile and blush at her words.
"I'm free after the school
Holidays during the weekdays between 8:30 and 2:30 each day since the kids are at school and every second weekend on the kids go to their mothers." I say. She smiles at me.
I cup her cheek and press my lips to hers. She pulls me closer and response to my kids, her lips pressing against mine and her arms wrapping around my shoulders to the back of my neck.
"We can make this work. I don't want to let another opportunity slip us by." I say softly. She smiles and kisses my lips again softly.
"We're agreed then." She says with a small grin.
I give a soft laugh and smile before kissing her cheek.
