《(Discontinued) Unexpected (BoTW Link x reader)》Chapter 19

(Your POV)
After a bit of struggle, Link and I managed to board the large beast.
"Phew, that was tough.." I breathed.
"Yeah, but I'm sure it only gets worse from here." Link replied.
He took the lead, facing off with a guardian of some sort. He quickly defeated the machine and beckoned me to follow.
"Woah," I let my gaze follow the mysterious designs of the machine created thousands of years ago. It was surreal.
A feminine voice echoed through the ancient structure. "Well, well well, you sure know how to keep a woman waiting. You've brought a friend, I see."
"You'll need a map to find your way around. Head over to that guidance stone over there. Sounds easy, right?"
Link glanced at me, then set his sights on his objective. We moved quickly through the obstacles, and found ourself in front of a glowing pedestal. Link carefully placed the Shiekah Slate on it's smooth surface, activating the stone.
"Good work getting the map of the Devine Beast! The terminals that control Neboris are noted by a series of glowing points in your map. Take back Naboris by activating all the terminals. You're ready for this."
Link didn't look quite ready for this.
"Right. Well, onwards, I guess," he proclaimed half-heartedly.
We moved along in silence, only speaking when necessary. I ended up not doing much, seeing as Link had the key to the puzzles. I simply fought the enemies and cleared somewhat of a path for him.
Finally, after a bit of head scratching, we arrived at the first terminal.
"There are four terminals remaining! I'm counting on you!" The voice echoed once again. Link and I bumped fists and then carried on.
Three terminals and disembodied encouragement later, we arrived at the final terminal. Link once again placed the slate on the stone, activating it.

"Well done! That was the last of the terminals. Now.. you'll need to start up the main control unit. Take a good look at your map. Head for the glowing mark you see there. You're doing well.. but overconfidence can be a deadly foe," the voice boomed.
"How.. ominous," I mutter. Link doesn't reply, he just nods and makes for the control unit.
(Link's POV)
Once at the centerpiece of the machine, I once again placed the slate on the stone, yet this time cautiously. After only being placed for a second, a dark malice swarms out from the control unit. Y/n and I stumble back in surprise, but quickly find our fighting stance.
The voiced began speaking once again as the malice began to form something. "Stay on your edge, you two! This formidable adversary was made by Ganon and brought me to a warrior's demise 100 years ago. Do not allow this to be your end. Fight for your lives.. and it's death!"
"Uh, Link, what is that?"
"One of Ganon's blights. Get somewhere safe! You can use your bow from afar. I'll fight him up close!" I respond. She nods her head and takes off for an elevated section of the Devine Beast.
The malice turns towards me and rushes. I throw up my shield, it's coming at me too fast to slice at it. It's heavy sword hits my shield three times in a row, then stops. I see my opportunity and I take it. So does y/n, apparently. An arrow whizzes past my head and hits the monster.
"A bit too close for my liking, y/n!" I shout over the sounds of battle. I'm not sure she heard me.
Y/n landed the arrow in it's eye, causing it to fall back in pain. I unsheathe my sword and begin slicing and stabbing at the goopey body. I get quite a few good hits in before it shoots back up and lets out an ear shattering screech.

"Gah, I think it's gonna do a different attack!" Y/n calls to me.
I look up at the creature, which is now summoning lighting to it's sword.
"Oh dear," I mumble to myself.
It once again charges me, but this time with a supercharged weapon. I once again throw up my shield, but realize my mistake too late. The electric sword hits my metal shield, shooting bursts of electricity through my body. I fall backwards, dropping my gear.
I think y/n is saying something to me. I'm not sure. I can't really hear her.
I guess the shock wasn't fatal. Painful for sure, but I'm still alive. I force myself up and see y/n raining arrows upon the malice. Grabbing my gear, I prepare myself.
The creature is on the ground, presumably from y/n's attack. I lunge at the beast and bury my sword in it. Not enough, though. The creature rises from the ground and shakes me off. It's preparing yet another attack.
This time, it shoots down metal pillars, surrounding y/n and I.
"It's gonna shoot electricity into the pillars! Use your magnesis to grab one of those pillars and give it a taste of its own medicine!" Y/n shouts. Of course she's already got it figured out.
I do as instructed and lift one of the many pillars. Sure enough, electricity begins to surround the metal objects, one by one. And just as predicted, the electricity shot at the beast and sent it flying to the ground. I release the pillar and begin attacking the monster with all my might, y/n shooting elemental arrows from afar.
With a final blow, the creature rises up and bursts, sending malice flying in every direction.
"I knew you wouldn't let us down, Link. Thanks to your valor and skill, and the help of your friend, my soul is free and Naboris is ours once again." Urbosa's spirit appeared. "Which means that finally.. we can complete what we started years ago. We Gerudo have no tolerance for unfinished business. I've waited so long for the moment to see you finally rush Hyrule Castle.. as well as for the moment when I incinerate Ganon into a pile of ash. Which reminds me, I wanted to give you a little something. Please accept this gift, which has come to be known as Urbosa's Fury. It will no doubt be of use to you." With a dramatic pose and the snap of her fingers, she sent a ball of energy to me. As soon as it touched my chest, it absorbed into me, just as the spirit orbs do.
"Both you and the princess.. I know you have suffered much regarding what happened to us Champions. But this is how things had to happen. No one need carry blame. So please, make it clear so she understands that. Tell her to shed any worries. And let her know.. I couldn't be more proud of her." She paused as y/n and I began to fade away. "You take good care of the princess. Oh, and also.. take good care of Hyrule," she finished with a wink. And then we were gone.

The Calculator - Supervillainess Time Loop
What makes a terrifying villain? Is it ruthlessness? Is it how powerful they are and how many buildings they can down in one blow? Is it how hard they are to kill, contain, or get rid of in any manner? Is it their knowledge of a hero’s true identity in a world where secrets must be kept? Or is it perhaps how they seem to be perfect in all their actions, defeating the hero at every step of the way throughout to the last one, only to humiliate them one last time before declaring themselves the winner in the grand scheme of things? Isabella Blair is perfect. She knows all your moves before you even make them. All your ambushes are faced with traps and she dodges all your blows like it’s child’s play. Catching her is impossible because she’s always ten steps ahead of you. She says she calculated everything, but she messes up in every fight. She loses far more than she wins, sometimes a hundred times for just one small victory. Yet, she is perfect. How is that possible, you may ask. That’s because she has the uncanny ability to return to the past whenever she makes a mistake. All that’s left in the end can only be what’s perfect if all the realities in which you’ve lost are gone, after all. And that makes for one hell of a terrifying profile. Crossposting on ScribbleHub, SpaceBattles, and Wattpad. Don't mind the "Pre-Rewrite" Volume. It is there for reference until the story catches up to the chapter count via the Rewrite (and to justify the current reviews as there would be no context to them otherwise). If you are a first-time reader, feel free to start from the other Volume.
