HyruleWarriorsLegends!Link x Reader
---------------------------------------------------------
"Come on, i'll catch you!" Your boyfriend said, smiling. You and Link were swimming in Lake Hylia, keeping cool. It was a rather hot day, and the sun beat down on your back. "W-what if I trip?" You looked at Link nervously, his hair soaked with the water and shined in the sun. Link held his arms out to you. "Just trust me, (Y/N)!" He smiled and looked into your (E/C) eyes. You bit your lip and nodded your head, glancing at your (F/C) swimsuit. Link kept his arms out and waited patiently. You took a deep breath and jumped, closing your (E/C) eyes. Link moved slightly and caught you, laughing. You shivered and you were soaked within seconds. "See? I caught you.." His strong arms were wrapped around you, keeping you safe. "Y-yeah.." You didn't always like swimming, but when you were in the mood, then you'd be fine. Link moved some of your wet, (H/C) hair out of your face and kissed your nose. You smiled and moved out of his grip, splashing him with water. "Hey..!" He grinned and splashed a bigger wave over you, your (H/C) hair now darker and drenched. "What, don't want your face being wet?" You swam in the nice, cool water, trying to dodge Link's splashing. "No, not at all!" To try and prove his point, he went under water and swam beneath you. You looked down and moved your feet back and fourth. Link poked your feet and smiled at you, coming up behind you. "Show off.." You mumbled and he laughed, loving this. You fixed your (E/C) eyes on Link's bright blue ones, which were full of playfulness. "Having fun?" You asked and chuckled, Link smiling his amazing smile. "Oh, yes.. I haven't done something like this in quite a while.." You swam around some more, occasionally going under with Link. His eyes sparkled when you looked at him and it made you smile. You both loved each others smiles and laughs. Well, you loved everything about Link. Who couldn't?

After the swim, you both sat on the bank. "I had fun.." You said quietly, leaning your head against Link's shoulder. "Mm.. Me too.." He ran his fingers through your (H/C) hair and sighed contentedly. "We need to do this more often, (Y/N).." You nodded and closed your eyes, a smile on your face. "Yeah, no kidding.." Link hummed softly and closed his eyes as well. "Thank you..."

8 102The Last Science
[This story is on a temporary hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I work in healthcare and unfortunately no longer have the freetime to continue posting on a regular basis. As soon as our workload decreases, I will return. Thanks for reading! 💙] No one ever knows the whole story. Nestled deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, something is emerging. Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself. In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. Want this story in smaller bites? Click here! The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series, focused on the modern world with a twist. New societies bud and grow, but the people who make them up are imperfect and flawed. The story includes elements of mystery, action, crime, interpersonal drama, relationships, philosophy, sociology, politics, and much more, all centered on the perspective characters driving the tale. Each chapter is pretty long (average ~8000 words), so find somewhere comfy to read. Content Warning (by request): This series delves into some topics and situations which may be upsetting for some readers. In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion.
