《The First Champion | BOTW Link x GN!Reader》Captured Memories

You naturally wake up very early the next day. Both Link and the person at the counter is asleep. You pull the covers off of you and stand up to stretch, feeling yourself wake up further. You grab your sword and belts and strapped them back on.
You quietly walk outside and breathe in the sweet air. Morning dew glistened on the grass reflecting the little sunlight that is rising and greeting you good day. You sit down on the steps and relax in the fresh air while waiting for Link to wake up.
When he finally does, you have done a lot of thinking. Lost in thought, you were startled to hear Link say "good morning" behind you in a tired voice.
You got up and turned around, a little embarrassed for jumping. "Oh, good morning," you say.
"Are you ready to head out?" he asks you, to which you nod.
Both of you make your way up the steep hills that leads up to a large building the guard pointed to. You reach the research lab and open the doors with a Sheikah Eye painted on it. Inside you see many instruments and scientific wares you have never seen before. Near the middle of the room was a small girl standing on a wooden stool. Upon seeing your entry, her eyes lit up tremendously.
Both you and Link walk over to the girl who quickly composed herself in an act.
"Hello," she says with a very young voice. "This is the Hateno Tech Lab. Do you have some business with the director?"
You nod, "That's right."
"The director is in the back," she says and motions to a Sheikah searching through a bookshelf. "A terribly busy person that one. Please try and keep it brief." You nod and walk over to him with Link following you closely behind. You were a little bit confused, as the guard mentioned the scientist here was a woman.
"Hello," the Sheikah says, not taking his eyes off of arranging the books. "I imagine you have never seen so many books in one place. Pretty incredible, isn't it? We've gathered all of Hyrule's known literature on ancient civilizations here. As for the actual number of books, well..." He then turns notices Link standing behind you, eyes steadily widening. "Is that... Is that a-- That thing on your waist? Is that a Sheikah... There is no mistaking it. That is a real Sheikah Slate, isn't it?!" he marvels.
Link nods, prompting the director to take a closer look. You step aside to not get in the way.
"I've never seen one in person! If you could just show me the runes on it, that would be most appreciative," he speaks in fast tones. Link gets out the Sheikah Slate and selects a screen displaying the runes before showing it to the Sheikah.

"There is Stasis, Magnesis, Remote bombs, and Cryonis," Link lists and shows the man the screen. He stares at it in wonder.
"And what else... Let's see," he mutters under his breath. "So thats it for the runes but... Strange, it doesn't seem that you have the basic runes. I don't understand why they are missing. There must be some reason... Ah! Where are my manners, I forgot to introduce myself!" he says. "My name is Symin. You are... Link right?"
"You know my name?" Link asks suspiciously.
"Lady Impa caught me up to speed. You see... we were told 'A young man holding a Sheikah Slate will appear. And you must do all you can to help him. They will be the hope that awakens from the Slumber of Restoration. His name will be Link... She didn't give me your name though..." he prompts you.
"(Y/N)," you say. His eyes widen once again.
"You're General (Y/N)?!" he exclaims. "A real pleasure to meet you. I never thought I would be in the presence of the Royal Prophet!" It was then your turn to look surprised, especially when he double gasped out of nowhere.
"Oh dear... I forgot to tell you something very important," he says. "Director! Listen Ms. Director! This is a real Sheikah Slate!"
"Director?" you echo.
"Oh that's right," Symin says, "I haven't introduced our director. Ms. Purah happens to be right over there." He says and points to the little girl. "As the Hateno Tech Lab director, Ms. Purah is the world's foremost authority on ancient Hyrule culture."
"Check it!" She strikes a pose with a charming grin. "Are you surprised?! The director of the laboratory is not Symin. It's me! Snappity snap!" she cheers. "Anyway, (Y/N) darling!" she turns to you with the sparkles from before returning in her eyes. You are startled by the sudden spotlight, and loving nickname. "Do you remember any dreams from your time in the Slumber of Restoration?"
You shake your head, wondering why the girl was so excited to see you.
"You don't look like you've changed a bit in these last 100 years," Purah observes, "but something must have happened in all that time!" A pause follows this. "Well, no matter! I'm just happy you're here still in one piece. And you as well Linky!" It was then Link's turn to blink in confusion.
"Darling? Linky? What's with those looks? You still remember me, right?" Purah worries. You and Link look at each other, not knowing what the right thing to say was.
"I don't remember, sorry," Link chooses to say.
"Really?! " she gapes in disappointment, a twinge of hurt flashing on her face. "(Y/N), you too?"

You nod with hesitation.
"Even after all those years we spent together? Even though, 100 years ago, I took you both the the Shrines of Resurrection after Calamity Ganon fatally wounded you, one of which I myself discovered in Kakariko..." She puts her hands on her hips. "Even though, I was the one who put you two safely into the Slumber of Restoration... Despite all that, you still don't remember me?"
Both you and Link shake your heads.
"Hmm... as expected," she frowns and takes out a notebook and pen. "After 100 years in the Slumber of Restoration, subjects... have... lost... all... memories. Got it," she mutters and puts away the notebook. "Oh sooorry. I have a bad habit of taking notes rather abruptly like that. It's a charming quirk, isn't it? Anyhoo, do you have any questions for me?"
After a pause you ask, "aren't you a child?"
"How very rude! I taught you better!" she huffs. You blink and open your mouth to apologize, but she continues before you have the chance. "Or perhaps not rude at all. I suppose that is rather a logical conclusion to jump to," she mutters. "The truth is, I look this way because of a failed experiment. Well, I say failed but in some ways it was a success.
"Anyway," she claps her hands together, "enough about that. Let's focus on the topic at hand! Here you both are after 100 years. Here to defeat Ganon who is growing in strength with every passing moment! And to rescue our beloved Princess Zelda! That is if you have the courage to try. And to help the true heroes, I, the one and only Purah, will restore the basic functions missing from the Sheikah Slate! Aaaand what do you say to that?"
"Yes please!" You and Link both say.
"I knew you'd say that! Well then... Let's go ahead and restore those Sheikah runes for you! Give me a nice snap! Go on! No need to be shy about it!" Purah encourages.
"I--" Link turns to you, confused, and sees your excited smile. Link follows your lead, with a smile of his own and you both strike a pose yelling, "snap!"
"Nice one!" Purah giggles. "Hokay then, Sheikah Slate repair: underway! Guidance Stone lock: removed! Now, let's do this thing!"
Link walks over to the guidance stone in the corner of the room that is illuminating orange. You watch interested as he puts the Sheikah Slate in in the slot and pushes it closed. The lock twists and the screen shines amber. The screen then reads, 'starting repair'.
You watch in awe as the Guidance Stone begins to generate runes that is in the form of a glowing blue drop of some sort of liquid. It drops on the Sheikah Slate and Link leans forward to inspect the screen. You walk over, eager to see what effect the stone had taken on it.
A new slot in the runes appears: the camera. An entire album of twelve pictures loads in, along with a Hyrule Compendium, appearing as well. 'Repair complete', the screen read. The Guidance Stone ejected the Sheikah Slate, and Link took it.
"Aaaaand, it's done!" Purah narrates. "So is that all fixed up now? Hmm, let's see here, which one is it?" She looks closely at the screen that Link holds up for her. "Camera, Hyrule Compendium, album. Yep, looks good! So I know this is sudden, but here me out. Take a picture of me with the camera. And don't forget to let me see it!" She says and then looks over at you. "Come on (Y/N) darling, get in the picture with me!"
You smile nervously as you walk over to Purah. Link gets out the camera and holds it up to you two. You pose with her and Link takes the picture
"Snap!" she beams. "Did you get the pic?"
"I took one." Link says and shows her.
"Hm? Who is that beautiful young creature?" She says to herself on the screen. "Oh, and you're there too, (Y/N)." Purah laughs and pats your shoulder. You sidely smile in reply. Link puts away the Sheikah Slate. "I guess that's my cue! Sorry, kind of lost it there. Wasn't on purpose. There is also some old landscape pictures in the album. I knew princess Zelda had made frequent use of the camera feature but this... Hey Linky! It dawns on me that you were Princess Zelda's appointed knight, which means... there is a possibility that you accompanied her to these places where theses pictures were taken. Oh right, the lost memory thing could prove troublesome. But don't loose hope! It just mean these pictures could be the missing piece to restore your lost memories! Maybe yours too, Darling!"
You kept your head down, thinking. 'So, the only thing to do to get back my memories is to travel to these locations with Link...' you think to yourself. 'Damn, I thought things would be a lot faster than this.'
"Well, come see me soon! Have fun with that new camera feature!" Purah cheers and goes in her usual pose. You smile and wave goodbye as you and Link head out the door.

Dream of the Abyss
Elisa Mary Grant died in a hospital bed after being stuck in it for six months, and like any other, her soul drifted away from her husk when she passed. For her, death was a release. It merely meant that she no longer have to wake up in pain, breathing through tubes and have doctors flood her veins with dubious chemicals for “experimental treatment”. Free from her mortal constraints and useless body, she felt… at peace, serene, even. Death is bliss, after all, when objectively living sucked to the point of extreme. Therefore, there was no reason to mourn at all and she knew she definitely didn't. ... That was until, on her way for a proper reincarnation, she found herself rudely interrupted and left stranded in the great NoWhere. “Wonderful,” she remarked as she floated in the [Beyond], “Just when I thought that suicide is the answer.” Author's note: Updates every Tuesday-Wednesday, probably some time in between. ... P.S Notes: Contains existential questions and nihilistic themes, rather philosophical. Will be rather sluggish until the MC gets her shit together. P.SS Notes: Story takes time to develop. And maybe uncomfortable. It's not gonna be action-packed or filled with battles, I think. Anyway, it is kinda unusual. P. SSS Notes: It is not LitRpg. Don't be fooled.

Travelers [DROPPED]
DROPPED. The story focuses less on dungeon building than on the why of dungeons and how they fit into the universal order. While I am working from a grand plot, the writing is going slice of life style because I need to do that to work out how things progress into that grand plot. The original story seed idea / synopsis is below. The Grand Tapestry protects Rhofhir from Primal Chaos by imposing Order via patterns. However, the patterns grow stiff, stagnant, and so the Tapestry is nearing a time of Unraveling. Evidence of past civilizations wiped out during previous Unravelings foreshadow the apocalyptic catastrophe looming over the world. The mages of the Arcane Asylum reach out across dimensions, searching for some way to prevent, or at least stall, the coming Unraveling. Among the many voices they find is a gifted graduate student researching machine-assisted telepathy -- and his gaming group. Lena never expected that the chance to play DnD with telepathy would result in her becoming an actual Dungeon Master, nor that her friends could become the bosses of her dungeon. This is, in many ways, her dream come true, but there's a catch: What happened to Brad, the creator of that telepathy machine?

Where Giants Fall
A fantasy LitRPG about traversing through worlds and slaying giants with nothing but a wooden suit and an army of treants. Nicholas Atkins didn't expect to wake up naked in the glowing woods. What he did expect was waking up to a hangover after last night's party- fortunately, that wasn't the case. Unfortunately though, he had worse problems to take care of than a headache. At first he blamed it on the alcohol; from what he recalled in Biology, glowing flowers didn't exactly exist in the realm of reality. However he was as sober as he could be, so next he blamed the drugs, but there was a problem- he didn't have the money to do drugs in the first place. When the fairies came, things became even weirder. Talks of climbing towers, magic tricks, and dinner were all on the table. Of course, dinner was the priority, but so was getting back home. However slowly, Nico realized that he might actually want to stay in this fantasy world. After all, he's had enough listening to Professor Paul's lecture on calculus- the swords and sorceries were just an added bonus. Still, staying in this new world has its own costs- and money is but one thing on that long, long list. Updated everyday except Saturday GMT+8 (Specific time varies by around 30 minutes). Star Wars Episode 7: A Corpse Through Which the Force Speaks
The fall of the Empire heralds dark times for humanity. As the New Republic concedes much of the galaxy to alien rule, a group of special forces stormtroopers must find a way to survive the "new normal". This fanfiction sets an alternate course of events in response to general dissatisfaction with the sequel trilogy. In terms of continuity, this story only takes into account the events of the first six movies and Rogue One. Please note: This story comes from the school of thought that the purpose of art is to provoke thought, rather than distract us from reality. I hope that the disturbing parts of this story do just that! This story is COMPLETE.
