We stood outside huge white mansion, waiting for someone to answer the door. And when I mean huge, I mean HUGE!!!! 4 stories, around 7 acres of land, a pond with a fountain in the middle of the driveway, tall steel gates surrounding the property, and a pass code required too even get in the gates. Lucky for us, Brody's parents didn't change the pass code when he left.

Finally the door opened and there stood a middle aged woman wearin a black dress, was model thin, blonde, and tall. She looked happy and surprised at the same time. "Brody? Is that really you?" She asked.

"Yeah Mom. It's me." He said with a smile.

"OH!!! I've missed you so much." She stated embracing Brody in a tearful hug. "Your father will be so happy your home." Then she looked up Zac. "ZAC!!" She exclaimed. "Your here too!" She said hugging Zac. "Your parents will be so glad you're back. They were disappointed you weren't at Trent's funeral."

"I'm sorry Aunt Lily. But you know why we couldn't come. And I'd like to thank you for not telling my parents about the gang. I can assure you, I'm no longer apart of that anymore. I've learned my lesson."

"That's good to hear." She smiled at Zac and Brody.

"Oh Mom! I almost forgot. I'd like you to meet somebody." Brody said while putting his arms around my waist. "This is Autumn, my girlfriend."

Brody's Mom, Lily, smiled and hugged me. "It's so nice to meet you Autumn. I hope my son hasn't been giving you too much trouble."

"No. Not at all." I said glaring at Brody. " And it's nice to meet you too. Lily, right?"

"Yes dear. Please, come in. We're about to have lunch and Brody, your father would be happy to see you. He's in the dining room waiting for me to join him for lunch."

Lily moved out of the way to let us in. Brody took my hand and led the way. Zac stayed behind to talk to Lily. We reached the dining room and there at the head of the table was an older looking man with gray hair...it made him look sophisticated and wise....he wore glasses, and a suit. The man looked up while drinking his glass of water, but choked when he saw Brody.

"Son." The man stated in shock.

"Hey Dad." Brody greeted.

The man got up and walked over to Brody and I. He looked Brody up and down. "Why, you've grown so much. You've become a man. And who's this?" He asked referring to me.

"This is my girlfriend Autumn. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for her."

"Really? How so? "

"It's a long story Dad. Let's not get into this now. I'll explain everything later, but right now we all could use some lunch. We haven't eaten much in the past week." Brody told him.

"Why not? Did you run out of money?" His Dad wondered.

"No. Snake." Brody stated. His Dad immediately knew what happened when he heard Snake.

"He kidnapped Autumn, didn't he?"

Brody nodded his head. "But we don't have to worry about Snake anymore. Zac took care of him." Brody said slowly, implying what Zac had done.

His Dad nodded understaningly. "Is Zac here too?"

"Yes Uncle Roger. I'm right here." Zac said walking into the dining room with Lily.

"Oh, Autumn! What happened to your clothes? They're all torn and...bloody." Lily asked.

I looked at my clothes. I had forgot I was still wearing my school uniform. I looked at Brody for help. "Ummmm....long story Mom. I'll tell you later. ok?" Brody answered.

"Of course son. I'm just glad you're home. Autumn, come with me. We're gonna get you out of those clothes."

I followed Lily out of the dining room and up the spiral staircase to the second floor. She led me into on of the many rooms down the hallway to the left. Lily went into a closet and came out with a red strapless dress that flowed starting at the waist. "Here. This should fit you perfectly. The shower's right in there." She said pointing to the door at the corner. "By the looks of it, you haven't showered in days."

"More like a week." I said.

"That story Brody told me must be longer than I thought." She stated. "Ok. Well, go get ready. We'lll be downstairs in the dining room." And with that said, she walked out.

I got in the shower and turned on the hot water. It felt so good on my skin. I watched as the water turned to brown as it ran down my skin, washing away all the dirt.

after a good 15 minutes, I got out and dried myself off. Then I put on the red dress. Lily was right. It fit me perfectly and I looked stunning. I made the best of my hair, since I didn't have a brush. I then proceeded to go back downstairs, but I remembered i didn't put on any shoes. I went back to the room where I found black strappy heels on the bed. Lily must've left them there for me. I threw them on and walked back downstairs to the dining room. Everyone was sitting at the table, patiently waiting for me. My heels clicked on the wood floor and Brody's eyes shot to me. He stood up and walked over to me. He held out his arm for me to take and led me over to the chair next to his. He pulled out my chair like a gentleman and sat back down. In front of me was a plate of food. A turkey sandwhich, macaroni salad, caesar salad, and macaroni and cheese. I waited until everyone else to start eating before I did.

"So Autumn, how long have you known Brody?" Brody's Dad asked...who's name I remembered was John.

"Ummm...Since 2 weeks before Halloween I think." I answered.

"How did you two meet?" Lily asked us.

"Uhhh...Well, maybe now is the time for the first part of the story." Brody stated. He wiped his mouth and put down his fork. He took a deep breath and spoke. "When me, Trent, and Zac moved away it was to get away from the gang as you know. We moved to a place called Shady Creeks, New York (A/N Not an actual place if you were wondering). There, I became a police officer and quickly rose to the rank of Lieutenant."

"a police officer? Who would've thought." John commented.

"I know, right?" Zac added.

Brody glared at Zac. "Anyways...Trent and Zac both went to college as you both know. 2 weeks before Halloween, I was called to the scene of a car accident. 4 adults were killed. One of which was Trent. Zac had only minor injuries...how? I don't know. The other 3 adults were Autumn's mother, father and older sister. I was assigned to tell the remaining family about the accident. At that time, her mother, father and sister weren't dead...they were in critical condition. The only remaining family they had was Autumn, and that's how we met. I went to her house, she answered the door and I immediatly fell in love with her. It was love at first sight, but I had to tell her that her entire family was in critical condition. It was hard for me, especially when I just lost Trent. The next day, I was assigned to tell Autumn that her family had died. She wasn't at home, so I went to her school. He English teacher was a mean dude. I'm never going there again. So anyways, I took her to the hospital so she could identify the bodies. Then I took her to the police station where she met with a social worker. The social worker was going to place Autumn in a foster family here in California. I couldn't let that happen, so I convinced the social worker to let Autum live with me. Over the next week, our relationship developed. I took her to meet Lucy, and after some time, Lucy approved of Autumn. On Halloween, Autumn was raped. I caught the guy who did it to her. But Autumn got pregnant, and well, that explains the blood on her clothes." Brody explained.

"I don't understand. If she's pregnant, then why..." Lily trailed off.

"Miscarriage." I stated.

"Oh." Lily said. "I'm so sorry sweety. Losing a child, no matter who the father is, is upsetting for any woman."

I gave her a small smile. "But I feel better knowing my baby is up in heaven with my family and Trent."

Lily gave me a sympathetic look. John coughed to get everyone's attention. "Sorry to interrupt, but Brody, did you say school and foster care?"

Brody put an innocent look on his face. "Yes?"

"And how old is she?" John asked pinting to me.

"16" Brody replied.

"Brody." John scolded. "I thought you were a police officer, You're supposed to ENFORCE the law, not break it."

"I know Dad, but I really love Autumn with all my heart." Brody said taking my hand and bringing it up to his mouth to kiss it.

"Awwww...love. Remember when we were young and in love John?" Lily said sweetly.

John smiled at Lily. "I sure do. And aren't we still young and in love?"

"No. Now we're old and in love." Lily said. John gave Lily a peck on the lips.

"Indeed we are."
