《The Cop Who Loves Me...A Teenager》chapter 12

Today I'm going back to school. Brody was driving me. Remember that man on Halloween? He's going to jail for the rest of his life. His partner only got 15 years. Brody got me out of the trial...there was enough evidence and he told the judge that I was emotionally unstable...which is kind of true. I still flinch when someone touches me...including Brody.
We pulled up to the school and I was about to get, but Brody caught my attention. "Autumn."
I turned to face him. "Yeah?"
"Do you want to do something after school today...maybe go on a movie date?"
I smiled. "Sure. I'd like that"'
He smiled back and I got out of the car and walked into school. School went by slowly. I was too busy looking forward to my date with Brody. I found myself glancing at the clock every five minutes. I've been getting less distant with my friends. Today I actually had a real conversation with them. They were happy I was feeling better.
Finally the day ended and I ran out if the school. I found Brody leaning against his car with black sunglasses on. I walked up to him. "What's with the shades agent double-o 1?" I asked playfully.
"Ha. ha. ha." He said sarcastically.
"SO what movie are we seeing?" I asked
"Paranormal Activity" He said in a creepy voice.
My face dropped. "No. No. no. no. no. no. and NO. I saw the first movies and they scared the crap out of me!"
"Exactly...I'll have you in my arms the whole time." He replied with a cocky smirk.
"Fine...but I'm only seeing it because you're cute."
"Cute? I don't do cute. I'm extremely hot."
I paused and looked at him. "let's go" I said enthusiastically.
"What?! You don't think I'm hot?"
"Of course I do...But calling yourself hot is a little too....conceded."
"Just get in the car." He mumbled walking around to the driver's side causing me to laugh.
Later at the movie...

"AAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!" I screamed along with ever other girl and a few squeamish boys in the theater. I ducked my head behind Brody, who was laughing uncontrollably. Who in their right mind would be laughing at this?! It's freakin scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I slowly peaked over Brody's shoulder to see what was happening in the movie, but I screamed again and hid my face behind him again. Brody put his arm around me and I covered my eyes with my hands and faced Brody's chest...Which wasn't quite comforting seeing as Brody wouldn't stop laughing.
FINALLY the movie ended. I looked at Brody who's face was as red as a tomato and his eyes tearing from laughing so much. "How the hell could you laugh through the entire movie?!" I wondered,
"I thought it was hilarious. You could tell everything was fake."
"Fake? The whole movie looked completely real to me and everyone else."
"Oh come on. Those people's faces were priceless. But anyways, ready to go?"
"YES!" I said practically running out o the theater. I stopped outside the door waiting for Brody. He finally came out and put on his sunglasses.
"And now, I'm taking you out to dinner." He stated.
"Dinner where? Not at a haunted house I hope."
"No...although that would be EPIC, I'm taking you to McDonalds."
"McDonalds? you know this isn't much of a date."
"Is too" He rebelled. "Isn't this the kind of thing teenagers do these days?THe guy takes the girl out on a cheap date, and then takes her home, walks her to the front door, and kisses her goodnight?"
"Maybe in the 50's, but this is 2011 old man. Things change." I teased.
"I'm so not old. I can be hip, cool, the sizzle to the izzle."
I chuckled. "Us "kids" Don't talk like that."
"Whatever. But honestly, I just really feel like having McDonalds tonight."
"Alright. Let's go grandpa." I said pulling his arm.
He kissed the top of my head. "Alright pumpkin, let's go get your happy meal." He said imitating an old man.

We drove to McDonalds which was only a few minutes away from the theater. I ordered chicken nuggets, french fries, and a diet coke. Brody got 3 cheeseburgers, large fries, a large root beer, and a mcflurry...How he eats and stays in such great shape is a total mystery to me. I finished eating first. I sat there chewing on a straw while Brody finished his meal...He finished 15 minutes later.
"Done. Let's go home." Brody stated.
"Finally...you eat way to much."
"So? I'm a guy. I LOVE to eat."
"You're gonna become fat."
"No I won't. I've been eating like this since I was 5. Haven't gone overweight yet." He said hitting his abs.
We drove back to Brody's apartment. I made Brody take the stairs since he ate all that food. He whined the whole way up saying how tired he was and how much pain he was in...He was so over dramatic...he lives on the 3rd floor. Jeez. Man up. We got to the door and I pulled out my key to unlock the door, but Brody caught my hand before I could. I spun around to face him, then he pinned me to the wall, his face less than an inch away.
"Brody, what are you doing?"
"Did you forget? The boy walks the girl home and kisses her goodnight." He whispered huskily against my lips. He pressed his lips against mine. He took my keys out of my hand and unlocked the door, gently leading me inside, while still kissing me. He laid me down on the couch and got on top of me. I tangled my fingers in his hair as he kissed down my neck. He started taking of my clothes and his own, but stopped when I was down to my bra and panties. He sighed and got off me.
"What's wrong" I asked, while sitting myself upright.
"I can't do this Autumn. I'm sorry."
"Do what?"
"This. You're too young and I don't want to do it until your legal." Broody said looking away from me.
"What are you saying? You can't be my boyfriend? Or you can't be with me as in what we were doing?" I asked carefully.
He thought for a minute. "Both." He said in barely an audible voice. "I've been thinking about what Lucy said. And she's right. It's not right for us to be together...not until your 18 and out of my care. I'm sorry." He grabbed his clothes and walked off to his bedroom, shutting the door, and leaving me all alone on the couch...I was shocked. Yesterday all he wanted was to be with me and now he doesn't. I put my clothes back on and found my cell phone. I called my friend Lizzie and asked if I could stay at her place for a while. She could tell I was crying, but I refused to tell her why. She agreed to come pick me up and take her to her place. Her parents were always fine with me staying over. I was like their second daughter. I packed a few of my things and waited in the living room for Lizzie.
20 minuted later the doorbell rang. I went to answer it and was engulfed in a hug.
"Autumn are you alright? What happened? Please tell me." She begged.
"I'm fine and I can't tell you. Please, let's just go."
She gave me a concerned look but agreed. Just as I was about to leave Brody came out in his pajama pants and no t-shirt. "Where are you going?" He asked.
"I'm staying at Lizzie's house tonight and maybe tomorrow night and the night after that." I stubbornly answered.
"And Lizzie would be you?" Brody asked pointing to Lizzie. She nodded her head. Brody sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Autumn, please don't do this right now."
"Do what?" I asked
"Don't runaway from me. You understand why I can't..." He pause looking at Lizzie. "...Why it's wrong. I care about you. Just give it time Autumn." He said choosing his words carefully so Lizzie wouldn't suspect anything.
"I'm staying at Lizzie's tonight." I stated and walked out.
