"Go away" Ariana Gilbert said again as she sat in the grill, she was in a comfortable booth, her hands trailing along the antique pages of a brail book, Damon sat opposite her, attempting to make peace.
"Sorry, I can't do that, I can't leave you alone" he charted, sipping his bourbon despite the early hour of the day, she rolled her eyes at him and he smirked, knowing full well she couldn't see it. "I'm sorry Ariana, you know that"
"Yes I do but today I feel like holding a grudge" she smiled sweetly.
"Why can't you just go back to being my adorable best friend again?" He sighed, he missed her being like that and at times, she still was, she was just purposely acting different to annoy him.
"Fine!" She giggled and jumped up, sitting on his lap with a big smile and a giggle.
"Yay! I got my monkey back" he cheered and she giggled, oblivious to the stares they were receiving.
"It's Caroline's birthday today" Damon mumbled nonchalantly.
"I know"
"Aren't you supposed to be at school?"
"I don't like it!" She pouted and crossed her arms like a stubborn toddler.
"Why not?"
"Rebekah is gone and nobody likes me!"
"That's not true"
"Is to!"
"Is not!"
"Is to!'
"Is -" he was cut off by a cocky British accent.
"What a productive conversation the two of you are having" Klaus scoffed sarcastically.
"Uh, hybrid" Damon groaned and Ariana continued to read her book, sat on Damon's lap, his arms around her waist.
"Yes, that's me" Klaus chuckled and sat opposite them, Ariana hopped up and skipped around the table with her book, sitting on Klaus's lap.
"Hi Nik"
"Hello little love" he responded his hand brushing through her large curls, his eyes wide with admiration at her beauty.

Today she wore a silky pink skirt with large Flowers, a white long sleeved crop top, lace up light brown shoes and her usual glasses, her hair falling thickly in brown curls.
"You look very beautiful today" he complimented and she smiled up at him before placing her book on the table and reading more of it. "Do you always wear a skirt?"
"Yes she does" Damon sighs as he sips his alcohol, he hated the closeness of Klaus and Ariana but she seemed content in his arms and Damon wanted only for her to be happy.
"Why?"
"Because they are cute" Damon responded as if it was obvious, Klaus ignored that particular chide, his mind wondering back to what he ordered Tyler to do that morning, he wasn't sure whether it'd work but he hoped it would.
"What are you reading?"
"Beauty and the beast, the long version" she grinned and kept reading, her hands trailing along the page continuously.
"Is it any good?"
"I love it!"
"How did I know you'd be a fan of Disney?"
"Because she's adorable" Damon smirked.

A lot had happened during that day and Caroline had decided (with the help of Elena) that she wouldn't celebrate her birthday, instead she'd have a funeral, Ariana had joined them and decided that for a day, she'd forgive Elena.
"Where'd Caroline go?" Matt asked a few hours later, Bonnie had exited the crypt in anger a few minutes prior, around the time that Caroline left with Tyler. Ari was glad to see that she wasn't the only one angry at Elena for sending Jeremy away.
"She's with Tyler" Elena reminded, despite the fact that she'd only left a few minutes ago. Both Elena and Matt were clearly tipsy and it made Ari giggle.

"Let's go find her, we're out of booze" Matt sighed and they all stood, Elena and Ariana joining hands and walking into the forest.
"Caroline! Where are you? We've ran out of alcohol and Matt thinks he's being haunted by the fell ghosts" Elena giggled as Matt jumped in fright, acting overly sketchy.
"Caroline!"
"You go that way matt, we'll go this way" Elena instructed and began to walk into the tree line, guiding Aria behind her. Suddenly they felt hands clamped on their mouths and Aria struggled violently to no avail. Eventually the lack of air got to them and they slipped into unconsciousness.
--
When Ariana found consciousness again, she sat bolt upright and thrashed against whatever was holding her.
"Elena?" She choked a sob.
"It's okay Ari, I've got you"
"What's happening?"
"Stefan is driving"
"What? Stefan?"
"Hey Aria" he responded, he knew what he had to do but he felt bad about it, he didn't want her to hate him but it was the only way of getting rid of Klaus.
"Klaus? Get your hybrids out of town or I drive your blood supply off the bridge. No hybrids if you have no doppelganger" Stefan hissed down the phone as he sped up, both girls screaming from the speed whipping around them and forcing them into the seats.
"Ariana?" Klaus gasped out, hearing her scream. "Stop the car Stefan!"
"Ah so it's the little blind girl that is your weakness now I can use that information" Stefan cackled and grabbed Ariana's wrist, clamping his hand tightly around it as the bone snapped, her scream sounding loudly.
"I'm going to rip your head off!" Klaus hissed and Ariana sobbed. Elena hugged Ari as she cried and cupped the blind girls injured arm.
"Nik" Ari hiccupped and she heard Klaus sigh in relief at her voice. But Stefan didn't stop there, he drove faster and faster and both girls yelled and cried, Klaus's yells morphing into the background.
"Fine! I'll get them to leave! Just leave Ariana and Elena out of it!" Stefan hung up on Klaus with the girls still crying but he managed to stop the car before they were flung off the edge.
