Lisa liked staying with Aster. He had a very simple routine as he worked at the docks, he usually got up in the morning, went out to work and came back in the evening. He never complained about Lisa's presence and he was very easy going and easy to get along with.

But he wasn't Achilles.

Lisa was torn between missing him and fearing for herself. Every time the doorbell rang she was afraid it was someone who had found her and was going to drag her back to Hercules, kicking and screaming. It had been weeks now and she hadn't heard from them, but she was sure they were probably going to come looking for her, especially after hearing what had happened last time there had been a situation like Lisa's.

'No one knows you're here except Achilles and I.' Aster would say after every time Lisa tensed when someone knocked at the door. 'No one who would be looking for either you or him knows who his family is, they're not going to find you here.'

But Lisa was still scared. It was a new kind of fear she had developed, and it was worse especially because she was pregnant. She wasn't just fearing for herself, she was fearing for what was growing inside her too. She feared for Achilles, she often found herself waking up in the middle of the night thinking about him, this usually happened in the form of a nightmare which usually resulted in Aster coming in to see if she was okay.

'I think the nightmares might be because you're pregnant.' Aster said one morning over breakfast. 'I'm not sure, but I think they might be.'

'I think it just might be guilt Aster.' Lisa replied, looking down. He didn't understand why Aster felt the need to abstain her of all guilt, it definitely wasn't fair, considering she had messed up big time.

'Lisa, don't beat yourself up about it, it definitely could be the pregnancy, remember you're still only human and regardless of all the normalising, that child you're carrying is fundamentally different from you, if we were in the dark ages, people would probably think you were a witch giving birth to the antichrist.'

'Seriously?'

'Yeah, although, that being said, people do still seem to think something along those lines as we probably wouldn't all be in this situation if the perception was different. Unfortunately, you're probably less feared because nobody thinks you're a witch, which is marginally less cool.' Aster smiled and Lisa laughed.

'You're so funny Aster' Lisa sighed, 'Thank you for making me feel so comfortable here.'

'Well, I was always the funny brother, Achilles was the attractive one.'

'Surely, you know that's not true. You're certainly not ugly.'

'Be careful Lisa, if Achilles thinks you're making a pass at me, I'm sure he'll come sprinting from Hercules.'

'Oh stop it Aster, I'm just being honest.'

'I know Lisa, I'm just joking with you.'

'What was it like for you growing up actually? Achilles never mentioned it.'

Lisa had never really put much thought to how it had been for them growing up, and since Achilles never talked about his family or home life, she realised that she had never thought to ask.

'Well, if you mean as an incubus, that's a simple one, see, it doesn't really start to show until you hit puberty, being half human kinda waters down the process anyway, so Achilles and I didn't really become, well, fully fledged incubi until we were in our late teens.'

'I see, I guess I never thought about the physiology that much.'

'Yeah, it's actually pretty interesting, I suppose there were things that would have seemed pretty mundane to Achilles and I growing up that probably weren't.'

'Oh yeah? Like what?'

'Well sometimes, Achilles used to try teleport himself into different rooms around the house, and one time he ended up barging in on me making out with someone. I think I was about seventeen or something? He must have been about fourteen or something. Man , I was so annoyed.' He looked wistfully away from her for a moment or two.

'Gosh, I would have loved to see how angsty Achilles was as a teenager.' Lisa laughed just thinking about it.

'He was a pretty funny kid, although he was a bit of a heartbreaker in his teens, I guess that's why his conceited self decided to start working at Hire an Incubus.'

'Oh how much he could have avoided if he'd just stayed away from them.'

Yeah but then he wouldn't have met you Lisa.'

'That probably doesn't carry any weight now though, I think he probably hates me.'

'Lisa, how many times do i have to say it, he definitely does not hate you, think about it this way, you decided not to go with him because he did something bad right?'

'Yeah.'

'And do you hate him for it?'

'No, I don't think I could hate him.'

'Then I doubt he hates you for a misjudge of a situation, also, even if he is angry, you have my support and I'm sure you can work through it.'

'Yeah I guess you're right Aster.'

Aster left for work that morning and then Lisa was faced with the quiet of the house. It was about mid morning when something happened her that worried her.

She was in the bathroom, showering. It was calming showering, something about the hot jets of water seemed to ground Lisa. She could see herself in the mirror, looking at her stomach area, wondering when it would start to distend, start to look foreign and not like herself. It was a strange concept to her, being pregnant. Her body looked far too small for her to support a baby. She hadn't considered the thought of having children seriously before, but now she was pregnant, it felt safe and natural to her. She studied her reflection in a bit more detail and then was suddenly taken aback as an awful sensation rocked through her. Her abdomen lurched painfully from within and it felt like someone was twisting her insides. She doubled over briefly, the water still running over her and she groaned loudly. The sensation subsided quickly and then she returned to standing. However, when she turned and looked back at herself in the mirror, she froze.

Her eyes had gone red.

She got out of the shower quickly and got dressed. Standing in front of the mirror she looked at herself again. She blinked repeatedly, praying it was some trick of the light, but the results were fruitless, her eyes remained that red colour that she knew all too well from Achilles. She didn't know what to do so she grabbed the phone that Aster had for emergencies since she had gotten rid of hers and dialed his number.

'Hello, Lisa?' Aster had picked up in seconds.

'Aster, I need you to come home, something has happened my eyes., They've gone red.'

He arrived back pretty quickly and he burst in the door.

'Let me see these eyes then Lisa.' She heard him call and she ran down the stairs. Aster took a look at her, placing his hand on her chin, he tilted her face up towards his, peering into her eyes, he exhaled shakily.

'Oh wow, I have no idea what this means. We're going to have to see my mother, she's the only person I can think of that would know anything about this Lisa.'

'When will we go? Are you sure?'

'I can take a few days off work, they won't mind, I'm basically the boss there, so it'll be alright. This is way more important anyway, I don't know what kind of supernatural thing this is.'

They were just about to walk up the stairs when there was a knock on the door.

'Lisa.'

Lisa froze. 'Aster, nobody knows I'm here right?'

'No.' Aster said quietly.

Another knock, and the voice was a bit louder this time.

'Lisa, it's just me.'

There was something uncanny about the voice, and when Lisa heard it again, she realised that the voice was exactly the same as Aster's.

'Lisa, that's not me.' Aster said warily. 'But it's someone who obviously can put up an illusion, and who knows I wouldn't be in. Whoever it is, they're not human. Get behind me Lisa.' He said, glancing at her. She moved slightly to stand on the staircase behind him.

The knocking turned into banging and before Aster had a chance to make a second move, the door burst open.

The imposter Aster stepped forward and the real Aster threw himself at him. It was strange watching them fight, the movements were too fast for Lisa to track properly and after a short burst of grappling, one of them was thrown into the wall, grunting, his eyes fell shut.

Lisa, frozen in fear could guess which one it was, as the one that was facing her now was grinning wildly at her. Lisa yelped and turn to run up the stairs when the imposter grabbed her by the arm and pulled her against him.

'Who are you? What do you want?' Lisa yelled, struggling against his grasp.

A wolfish grin on his face, his features rippled slightly until he resembled someone who looked like Aster but definitely was not him.

'I have to say, I expected a better hello from you at least.' His grip softened, his hands resting at the small of her back.

She stopped struggling and her breath caught in her throat as a sharp pang of recognition struck her in the chest. He smirked at her and a strange fear gripped her as he spoke his next words

'Nice eyes, sweetheart. We're matching.'
