The taunts, the scoldings, the long talks, the arguments, everything flashed front of his eyes. Him crying, pleaded, his sister intervening, his sister getting scolded, each and every detail of the sleepless nights. His crippling anxiety and self-doubt. "Thanks, thanks for understanding." Eddy croaked. Brett smiled, "Of course."
