《Interwoven ✔️》6~ Avenge and Revenge

Mother of bloody mary!!
I was trapped. I was trapped. I was trapped.
Cockroaches poured out from the toilet and plunked onto the hard porcelain floor. One of the vermin landed on its back. I gagged at its little legs waving frantically in the air.
I rattled the door with all my might but it didn't budge. The door was unlocked from my side so that meant...
"PARK JIMIN!" I shrieked. "Let me out!"
Nothing. The door didn't budge.
So this was his revenge huh?
Had he even gone out? Was his absence really been because he'd been plotting all this silently upstairs for getting me back? It wouldn't have been hard. He could've morphed into something tiny and unnoticeable and gotten upstairs while I'd been distracted.
The cockroaches were beginning to crawl towards me. I tried opening the door one final time. Nothing.
I swore and whirled around. I hated the creepy-crawlies of any and all kinds. Now there was a whole hoard moving towards me. This was definitely worse than the spider.
The chittering of cockroach jaws as they moved as one across the floor to me was probably the worst.
I finally screamed in horror when the front line of crawling beasts almost reached my toes. In a flash I was on top of the sink counter, squealing in disgust as the insects swarmed over the spot I'd been moments before.
I continued yelling at Jimin to let me out.
That's when I realized the cockroaches were beginning to crawl up the walls.
Holy frickles there were so many of them!
"Fine! You win! I yield!" I cried as a cockroach landed on the sink right beside me. "Jimin you win this round!"
The door cracked open and a grinning Jimin poked his head in. "Hey partner!"

"Jimin get these out of here!" I wailed as the cockroach on the counter squirmed closer to me.
The silver Marked alien leaned against the doorframe, unfazed as a monstrous cockroach crawled up the wood inches from his head. He even had the audacity to hold up his phone and click a photo of me. His revenge.
"They don't bite."
The cockroach brushed my foot.
I screaky my loudest screaky and jumped off the counter at the doorway.
"AA—!" Jimin's parted mouth of shock was the last thing I saw before I bowled into him and we both crashed out of the bathroom.
Pain shot down my body from my impact against the ground and clash of bodies. I didn't miss a beat though and whirled around and slammed the bathroom door shut. I collapsed back on the ground, shuddering from head to toe. The little clicking of legs behind the door could still be heard.
Jimin grunted from the impact but immediately dissolved into loud bubbly laughter.
I would've found the laughter endearing, save for the fact he was laughing at me.
I slapped his arm, scowling. "That was disgusting!" I yelled. "Not to mention now we have an infestation problem in the Sharehouse."
My alien roommate sat up, silver lines glowing brightly. "That was great I don't know what you're talking about," he countered happily. "And don't worry. I'll get all those cockroaches out in no time."
I didn't even want to know how he'd gotten them in. They'd came out of the freaking toilet!!
"How am I supposed to shower in there now?" I demanded. "That was traumatizing."
He leaned forward, grinning shamelessly. "Do you want me to shower with you? Will that make you feel better? Maybe I can finally teach you the right way to use tongue too."

"Just get the vermin out of here," I grumbled, ignoring him. Ignoring the way my stomach bubbled at his words, at his smirk. "There's a bunch of cockroaches in there. You can teach the right way to use tongue on those guys."
Jimin erupted back into laughter as I stood up and shoved past him and downstairs.
Great. He was winning now. I almost thought of just letting him get away with it. After all, my last prank had actually injured him which wasn't my intention whatsoever. Yet my competitive side was blooming, telling me that 'defeat' was not in our vocabulary.
I paced downstairs as Jimin took care of the pests upstairs. I moseyed into the kitchen. My eyes idly scoured the counters.
They landed on the a large bottle of vegetable oil.

"PARK JIMIN!" I screamed. "IT'S GETTING ME! HELP!!"
I listened with glee as loud clattering immediately resounded upstairs. I screamed one more time. I was probably going to lose my voice at this rate but it was worth it.
"What's going on?!" Jimin yelled, concern and alarm in his voice.
I was surprised at how concerned he did sound. For a moment I almost regretted what was about to happen. It was too late though.
I watched as he appeared. He was rushing so quickly down the stairs that when his foot reached the oil-slick floor he entirely wiped out. His body crashed to the floor and he actually slid a couple feet from his momentum.
I clapped a hand over my mouth. I hadn't anticipated how hard he was going to go down.
His body slid to a stop. He sighed heavily. "I see."
I choked on a laugh at his defeated tone. Carefully I crossed over from where I'd been watching by the kitchen. Despite my cautiousness I slipped a couple times on the slick oiled floor, just managing to stay on my feet.
I stopped by his head and bent down over him grinning. "And we're tied again."
"Oh are we now?"
Jimin's arm snapped up so quickly it was too late to react before he yanked on my ankle by his head with all his might.
With a cry I went crashing down beside him. He wasn't finished. He rolled over and slathered oil coated palms across my face, arms, and down my shirt.
"How dare you?!" I shrieked but choked off as he wiped the oil all over my cheeks. "This is disgusting!"
I lashed back, dragging my own now oil covered fingers across his neck, ears, and hair. Our motions made us slide easily over the ground and before I knew it we both were diffusing into laughter.
And for a split moment, gazing at the boy next to me— hair spiked and covered in oil, Marks luminous, mouth wide and flashing the brightest smile— the fluttering within me increased with vigor and warmth.
"JIYEON!"
We both froze. Our heads snapped over towards the hallway where the front door was. We'd both been so caught up in fighting and covering each other in oil that neither of us had noticed the two figures standing in the hall. Both were staring at us in a mixture of horror and shock.
My parents.
"Hwang Jiyeon." My mom recovered first and marched forward, eyes blazing. "Get away from that creature!"

I Have Even Read the Rulebook!
As all stories begin, Prof died. Yes, truck-kun had something to do with that, but also a bird, a cat and some rebar. When he was presented with with the opportunity in the Afterlife Administration Bureau to be transmigrated into a game-like fantasy world, he did something, no one ever did: he read the Rulebook. Follow Prof on his road to be rich without working, touring a whole new world without a care and witness his realisation, that despite having read the Rulebook the folks living with the System for untold millennia know more about the rules. Important notes: 1, I'm not a native speaker, so be prepared for occassional typos, iffy grammar and maybe awkward sentences. The spell check was running, when I wrote the chapters, but it works in strange ways... If you point out mistakes, I will try to correct them 2, Scheduling will be two chapters a week, posted Saturdays before noon (CET). Depending on how much new chapters I can write consistently there will be probably more but as long as I have leftover chapters, the two per week will be posted no matter what. Chapters will be around 1500-2500 words as MS Word counts it. 3, I did not and will not post this novel on another site, if you find it somewhere else, please inform me 4, The Main Character's progression is slow, there will be no Levels, Skills, Abilities, Feats, Perks and Cheat Powers raining down on him 5, I've put Comedy as a genre because of my writing style not because the novel is a comedy per se. On the other hand, Traumatising Content is there because there is a lot of speciesism - those Elves are not nice people. 6, I put a lot of pop-cultural references into the chapters, try to find them! Enjoy!
