"Have you heard the rumor..." a brunette school girl cooed, her voice echoing down the hall, she spoke softly to her friend standing next to her, "about the eighth wonder of the school?"

Her blonde friend squeezed her books closer to her chest, eyes glimmering with question, "I thought we only had seven wonders?"

"That's what I thought!" the brunette continued, "But for a few years now, there's been rumors of a new spirit roaming the halls of Kamome."

"Well! Tell me already!"

She nuzzled in close to the blonde, cupping her left hand close to her ear;

"Well, they call her the 'rouge rumor'. They say you can find her roaming the corridors of Kamome after hours of school. It's said she watches out for kids that roam the halls, wanting to summon her. To summon her, you must leave a prayer outside the large sakura tree that stands tall & strong, yet weak outside in the school garden..."

"But why there?"

The brunette sighed, "No one really knows...because once you go inside, you should be able to find her roaming around. She's said to look like a little white fox, that will do make any rumor you deem to wish be true - come true."

The blonde gasped, "Isn't that dangerous?"

"Of course! That's why she's a wonder after all...& besides, she listens to the prayers to deem if their rumor is even worth making true. She can tell your true meaning behind why you want it to come true. But, there is a price. You also must bring her a sakura petal from the tree."

"That seems like an odd requirement..."

She nodded, "It's believed she stores some of the power of the rumor in the petal...but no one truly knows."

Her blonde squealed, as her friend backed away to look at her, "Wow, & you believe this is true?"

She nodded, "So many weird things have been happening & going around the school, I wouldn't doubt she was real."

A school bell rang throughout the corridors, having people emerge from classroom doors, filling the hall. They began to walk arms linked down, causing the blonde girl to speak once more, "I hope we don't get tangled in with her! She sounds like someone who shouldn't be messed with."

As the girls walked to their class, getting lost in the endless faces of their peers - they didn't realize a small, three-tailed fox that was listening from around the corner, to every single word.
