: Honey, I thought we talked about this.....Your awkward self priding A/Ns in the beginning just ruin the story for everyone.

Actually I think my stupid little protagonist ruins the story.

The boys eyes were burning like the swirling rapids of a pitch black river. He pointed the rather sharp edge of his sword towards Tony, his gaze never flickering from Tony's shocked face. Nico....that was the boys name-well that's at least what Rachel had told him. But Tony wasn't sure he could trust them; not just because the boy was pointing a deadly sharp weapon at him.

Rachel smiled at him rather sweetly; and twisted a piece of shocking red hair around her finger. Like she was innocent but in reality she could be a murderer for all he knew. And than as if to prove his point she spun around and flicked Nico in the head.

"Stop put that down. Your probably scaring the schist out of him."

Nico scoffed, but lowered the sword and turned it into a glittering ring.

What the heck?

"All they probably see if a freaking baseball bat." Nico glared at Rachel, and slipped the ring onto his finger.

"Um-I don't know who you think you are kid. But that sword is definitely not a baseball bat." Steve stepped forward, his gaze latching hesitantly onto the boy.

Rachel frowned...her eyes locking with the boys beside her. They had a silent conversation, their gazes never flickering.

As you might have guessed the situation got more and more awkward as the children didn't give a dam about the avengers in front of them...and conversed with their unreadable eyes for a long aching moment. At which the avengers got more and more nervous and questioning.

Nico finally broke the spell and snapped his head around to glare at them.

"Where is Percy." His voice spat acid; his eyes penetrating their bodies. Freezing them in their movements, carving answers from their minds.

"WHERE IS HE-" His voice broke off as Rachel placed a hand over his mouth and dragged him back as he launched himself at Tony. But suddenly Tony realized that it wasn't anger that drove the madness in the child's eyes. It was the broken look of sadness, shattering and unnatural, lurking behind his deathly appearance. Tony glanced behind him and realized the rest of the avengers had the same look of realization-Their faces softening. Except for Natasha who stared at them with little to no emotion. Her head tilted to the side as if studying the two teens.

How did these kids know Percy? Why was everything so complicated concerning his nephew? What did Percy go through before he fell into Tony's care?

Where the heck was that pizza delivery man?

Questions churned like river rapids around Tony's head. He didn't doubt that these two children knew Percy. But if they were friend or foe he wasn't sure. Of course if they were telling the truth that they were Percy's friends, than he knew why they would be angry at him. No one probably notified them of Percy moving in with him. But than why were they so scared and worried about Percy when he obviously was sent to live with a relative of some sort after the fire?

And than it hit him.

As if he had always knew deep down.

But he didn't want to except it.

The child, whose heart lay mangled and broken. His gaze flickering with nothing but the shattered cracks on its surface. The emptiness that dug into his body....

It had been there long before he met tony. Long before his parents died.

What had happened to Percy?

Tony turned to the teens, no doubt in his mind that they were friends to Percy. A new light shone down upon the situation. These kids were the key to helping his nephew.

The key to saving his nephew.

But he just didn't know how wrong he was.
