PERSEPHONE'S POV

Hades is being wild again. And not in a good way. There are usually days where I could stand his anger, and this isn't one of those days.

He keeps throwing and smashing things around the house. As if he's the one cleaning it!

He's is just as lazy like that husband whose wife is selling him. Actually, he might be better than Hades. At least he doesn't break things.

"Persephone. Would you care to help me you useless piece of-" I cut him off. I do not tolerate being foul mouth. Especially by him. And he's my husband!

"Oh shut up. If you want to know, your precious Azuela isn't here. Its somewhere in downtown."

Then his eyes blazed red and he started glowing his dark glow. Then poof. He was gone. All he left was a bunch of smoke and dust for me to clean. Great.

ALEXA's POV

"Later? You sure?" I asked Pauline.

"Yeah," she nodded.

"I can't go tonight. I'm busy. Can't he re-schedule?" She shook her head. "But I really am busy tonight!"

"Well too bad!"

"Pau, tell Patrick I'm going to make it up for him next time, but now's not the time."

"Patrick would be upset if you didn't go. You know how he likes you and all," Pauline said. I did remember him saying he liked me, but I don't think he still does up to know. After all, he already has a girlfriend.

"Well, I'm sorry but tell him I can't make it. Anyway, I better go now. Go talk to Daphne and take her with you tonight. Patrick would be happy to meet her," I said. Pauline's big brother patrick is a sucker for girls with mean faces. And Daphne is the type of girl guys like but can't have.

"Alright. I'll tell him Daphne is your present to him," she smirked. I grinned.

"I should go now. See you later," I told her and kissed her lightly on the cheek before I took my bag out of my locker.

I started walking really quickly so that I would still have more time for my training. I bumped into Connor earlier but he just ignored me like nothing. I never really knew what's going on with him, but I try not to talk to him about it, it just usually ends up in an arguement.

In the elevator, I stood in silence with the devil Alyssa Flakes. She shot me a mean look and I quickly averted my eyes away.

"Going somewhere loser?" She asked me. I just ignored her. "Helloooo?" She waved a hand in front of me. "Are you deaf?"

"No?" I answered her.

"Oh, so where are you going loser?"

"Somewhere you don't know."

"I doubt that. I know every inch of NYC. Wait! I bet you're going to do the deed with that geek, huh?"

"His name happens to be Connor. And no, we are not meeting later."

"Whatever. I have plans anyway with Paul Docks."

I looked at her. She can't be serious. Her spell actually worked on the new dude? Poor kid. When the elevator door opened, I quickly ran away from her. I ran outside and called for a cab.

"Brooklyn sir," I told the driver. I looked out the window and thought about what had happened last night at my house.

Mom and Dad were fighting again. I sat in my bed, hugging my legs as I listened to their arguement. They were fighting about me again. Dad never really liked me, he had always thought my mom had an affair and I had a different dad. I never believed it though. I actually don't know why dad would think like that.

"She's not mine and I'm going to prove it!" He would often shout my mom with words like that.

"George! Please! Just listen!" My mom begged my dad, but no he wouldn't listen. The fight usually ends with dad storming out of the house and coming back after a week only to have gather up his things and stay with his friends. And by friend, I meant Victoria Secret's models.

"We're here miss," The indian driver said. I paid him 20 bucks and left him the change. I was very late for my training.

I had always loved playing with my bows and arrows. I entered the building and I was greeted with smiles and laughter by my fellow archers. It had been weird when my mom found out that I was addicted to the activity, but she quickly accepted it, as for my father, well, he was still adjusting.

I gather up my gear and equipment I usually use for my practice shooting. I had only entered one competition before and won. I planned on entering more, but I thought about telling my friends first before I went with it. Of course, they would never understand my addiction.

I pointed my bow and inserted my arrow. Then I faced my dummy and released my arrow. The arrow went through my dummy leaving a hole inside it.

I smiled as a loud clapping sound came from behind me. I turned around to face my fan and my smile instantly faded away.

It was Paul Docks.

"What a shot," he told me while smiling. He went to the dummy, pushing me aside gently. He picked up the arrow and walked towards me. He handed me back the arrow. "You should get a medal with that kind of shot."

"I didn't know you came here at "Ben's Archery"," I told him.

"I usually don't. But, it gives me this homey feeling thing you know?" I shook my head and he smiled. "Of course you don't. You grew up in the city while I grew up differently."

There was something about him. Something inside me was stirring up. Like a longing feeling.

"Where did you grow up exactly?" I asked him and his eyebrows went up.

"I grew up in a house that would be considered as a palace to you. It was big and was surrounded by forest and creatures you better be afraid of. The people there were nice too. My sister went along with them very nicely."

"You have a sister?" It was a weird question. But neverthless, I still asked.

"Yeah. A twin sister actually." He kept smiling at me and I just felt connected to him. I wouldn't want to bring it up because he would probably tell to Alyssa that I'm a crazy phycopath.

"You know, you should be getting ready for your date tonight." I told him as I inserted my arrow again. He stood behind me and I heard him laugh under his breath.

"I wouldn't go even if I was going to die. Which I'm pretty sure I won't."

Now I was the one to laugh. Standing up Alyssa wouldn't do him any good. Eventually she would kill him for humiliating her like that. She always had the snake poison inside her that only I could feel.

"Sorry to hear about your family," he said and I pointed my bow down. I turned around to face him with wide eyes.

"Where did you hear that?" I asked him and he looked sincere.

"I just know. Hey, your father is a complete ass. He never should have left you like that."

"Well, he said that I wasn't his daughter and I completely understand why he would think that. I mean, I'm different..."

"I wasn't talking about your step-father. I was talking about your biological father."

Okay, that was weird. I was taken off guard when he said that. I have a biological father? Wait, how would he know that? He's just messing around with me. Or is he?

"What do you mean?" I asked him.

"You should sit down first before I tell you," he told me and gestured for me to sit on the empty bench that was far away from everyone.

I sat on the bench and scooted over for him to sit next to me. He didn't sit next to me. He just stood there. Hands inside the pocket of his gray jacket, head down. I could tell he was obviously frowning.

"Your mother never told you the truth huh?" He asked me.

"What truth? And how would you know about it anyway?"

"You can't answer a question with a question. But, yes, I do know about it. I know about it a lot. For instance, your father isn't your real father at all. Your mom just married him. Your real father, however, is..." he trailed off.

"Is?" I waited for his answer. There was complete silence before he spoke again.

"Is me."

Then the silence went back again and I sat there, shocked.
