Chapter 2
Daphne's POV
I stopped by what actually made me homesick. The people call it a museum, but I call it home. I entered the little piece of heaven and took a good look around. It was nothing but filled with sculptures and paintings of the gods and godesses and heroes like Heracles and Perseus.
But something caught my eye. It was a painting of Apollo and I. It showed that I was trying to get away from his touch. I laughed silently to myself and an old lady walked up next to me. I try not to make any eye contact.
"Isn't it beautiful?" She asked me. I kept silent. "I always loved listening to their story when I was younger. Do you know the love story of Apollo and Daphne?"
"Its not much of a love story," I told her. She looked at me at awe.
"Well, to most it wasn't, but I believe it was."
"You believe it was love just because Apollo chased after her?"
"Actually, I don't know what to believe anymore."
"I pity you then," I scoffed then smiled to myself.
"Hmm, yes, well, the museum is closed my dear. Come back tomorrow instead." Then she took a good look at me. "You do have a place to stay at, right my dear?"
I shook my head and she smiled.
"Well, would you like to stay at my house for a while?" I nodded and she covered my shoulders with a blanket she used to cover herself. "Come, let me show you to your room." I let her led me to a small room filled with art.
"You paint?" I asked her.
"Yes, I used to be an aspiring artist when I was your age. Say, how old are you my dear?" I looked down at my hand.

"I don't know," I answered her.
"Well, what year were you born?"
"I don't remember."
"Hmm, well, you look like you're about 16. Correct me if I'm wrong my dear."
"I really don't know," I told her again.
"What do you mean my dear?"
"I just, I don't know. I have been, like this, as long as I can remember."
"And how long ago was that?" I looked up and smiled at her face.
"Longer than you can imagine." She raised her eyebrows at me.
"Who are you?" She asked me and I laughed a little.
"I am Daphne. Daughter of Peneus and Creusa of Thessaly." I watched her suck in her breath and looked at her watch, then looked at me, but she quickly averted her eyes away. She was afraid of me.

Apollo's POV
"Nobody asked for your opinion Aphro," I told the rather talkative Aphrodite. She looked at me then her beautiful face suddenly turned scary.
"Don't talk to me like that Apollo. You may be a son of Leto and the twin brother of my best friend, but you know that I can tear you apart!" Aphrodite was pretty tall, with her 3nch heels, she was just as tall as I am.
"Stop it! Both of you!" Artemis shouted then all of the lights suddenly went off and on. Aphrodite loosened her grip on my neck and I pushed her off. I touched my neck and I felt a small pang of pain. I looked at my hands and I saw my blood. It was golden like my hair, but it quickly dissapeared.
"Its alright sis, Mom taught me to respect my elders." Aphrodite and Artemis both glared at me.

"Shut up Apollo before I'll make you wish that you were never born."
"Says the girl who never went through puberty," I teased her and even Artemis laughed.
"Arti!?" Aphrodite looked at her.
"What? It is true," Artemis was still laughing at my joke.
"You know, you should be happy that you never had to go through puberty, that was a scary roller coaster ride," I told Aphrodite, and I could tell that it made her happy just to hear that. "Hey, when is Hermes getting here anyway?"
"I don't know. He said he'll be here in a jiffy."
"Jiffy? People actually still use that word? I thought that became extinct back at the 70's?"
"Polly, you should remember that we're not people, we're gods. Olympians." She put a gentle hand on my shoulder. I swatted her hand away and brushed the shoulder that she touched.
"First, never call me, Polly. Second, yeah, I know that we're gods. Third, Shut the hell up."
"Oh my dear Arti, our golden boy here needs to go outside and get some sun." Aphrodite hugged my sister and the both of them laughed.
"Is that suppose to be a joke? You want me to actually go outside and get some sun? I'm the sun god for christ's sake!" Aphrodite had a way of making me feel fraustrated all the time.
"If there is a Christ!" A voice answered from the window.
"Ahh, Hermes. You're late." Aphrodite opened the window door and let him in.
"I'm never late," Hermes told her before planting a huge kiss on my sisters forehead.
"Whatever," I sighed in relief then I walked closer to Hermes and grabbed him by the scruff. We were just the same height. "Where's my nymph?" I asked him brutally.
"Whoa, what makes you think I know anything about you're girl?" Hermes asked me.
"There were evidences that proves you were at the island the day Daphne dissapeared." Aphrodite backed me up.
"Alright. I am admitting it. I did went to see her, but only because she asked for my help."
"What help?" I gripped him tighter by the scruff of his neck.
"She became you know, back to normal. She was walking and talking again, and, and, she asked for my help to take her."
"Take her where exactly?" Artemis asked calmly.
"Away from golden boy here," That comment made me so angry that I threw him off the window. He fell off but flew instantly using his winged converse.
"You tell us where she is right now Hermes!" Aphrodite told him.
"The Big Apple!" He said before flying off. I wanted to go after him, but Flying was one of the things I scratched off my to-do-list since I left for greener pastures.
"You'll get her back soon my brother," Artemis talked like the way she used to talk back when time was simpler. When I was still not obsessed with my nymph. My Daphne.
