A/N - hey hey! Just want to say I'm so over the moon with reaching 200 reads that's crazy! Especially since this has only been going a week or so! Thankyou so much for all the support, an dim going to continue writing daily chapters, however I'm not in self isolation next week, so chapters may be less regular after this week!

Y/N POV:

It had been around a week after I saw Fred and Romilda kiss, and let's just say it wasn't fun. I thought she may be a really sweet girl - the type of girl Fred described to me when we'd once discussed our dream parter when I was staying at the Burrow last Easter.

But, Romilda wasn't like anything Fred said he wanted in a girl. I'd decided my jealousy shouldn't ruin our friendship, and I should be happy for him, but she was a mean girl. Romilda would join us all in the Great Hall for food, and hold Fred's hand (which was quite sweet), but then she'd gossip about everything. And she'd get really mean about the people she was talking about - even if they were right by her. She once started taking badly about Hermione, when she was opposite Romilda, and made her run off and cry. The thing was, Romilda's friends began sitting with us too, so they'd join in, and so there were multiple people being mean. It was even worse when Fred didn't even stop Romilda, and even laughed at her mean jokes about people.

I was usually the person that ran after whoever Romilda upset, and I'd comfort them. George and Angelina began avoiding the Great Hall, to get away from Romilda (but also to spend some private time together i suspect.) Eventually, it was just me, Lee, Katie with Fred and Romilda. Alicia just stopped hanging out with us. Fred didn't even seem to be bothered. He'd changed so suddenly and I had no idea why.

"Y/N? Y/N!" Cho snapped her fingers in front of me. I'd zoned out and gotten lost in my own thoughts again.

"Oh..Um...Sorry Cho." I quickly apologised, shaking my head.

"It's alright Y/N - you okay?" She asked with concern.

"All good - just a bit zoned out at the moment that's all." I flashed her a quick smile. "What were you saying again Cho?" I asked.

"I said about the Yule Ball - Cedric asked me!" She squealed with excitement. I got up and hugged her tightly, jumping up and down with her.

"Oh that's wonderful!" I said jumping more. I knew Cho had been waiting for Cedric to ask her since it was announced a few days ago. We did come up with a plan for her to ask him, but then someone told us they heard Cedric planned to ask her. Turns out, he took her for a picnic by the black lake, and there was a note asking inside the picnic basket when she opened it. I knew Cedric was a romantic at heart. 'I'd have to congratulate him on that one later' I thought. I was so happy for Cho, she was such a lovely and sweet girl, and Cedric was the same - they were perfect for eachother.

We started discussing what she'd wear to the Yule Ball, and decided we'd go to Hogsmeade this Saturday to get a dress, as her mother was on Ministry business, and sousing be able to get her a nice dress. I'd already received my dress from Sirius, not that I planned to go now. It wasn't just the fact the one person I wanted to go with was going to go with someone else, but I wasn't one for parties, and I hated being around too many people. Sometimes, I just liked being left alone, and I felt Christmas Eve would be no exception.

Cho knew I wasn't planning on going, and had tried to convince me to go, but she understood how I felt, and didn't bug me or anything - she knew when I'd reached my limit. I planned to go to the library, bring a blanket, and curl up with a book in a corner there, until it was midnight, then bring myself to the common room, put my gifts to everyone under the tree, and then go to my dorm and sleep. It sounded lovely to me. But, I knew Cho would still be a bit sad about me not going - but my mind was made up.

It was now Saturday, and me and Cho were going to find her the perfect dress. We'd also invited Alicia to come with us - she was really sweet, and we knew she didn't have a dress yet. Plus, she wanted to stay away from Fred and Romilda snogging as much as anyone else.

We made our way to the carriages, and saw Ginny waiting by herself, we joined her, and for the first time, I was in the carriages at the advised maximum occupancy. When everyone was together, we'd normally squeeze 7 or even 8 of us in one carriage - it felt so empty now. I knew Alicia felt it too, because she was looking surprised at the amount of space we all had. As we made our way to Hogsmeade, I saw winter at its best: the trees were dusted with snow, and so was the grass. The lake was frozen over, and some third year Hufflepuffs were ice skating on the side using charms to prevent from falling in the water.

We made our way into the snow topped village after leaving the carriages, and immediately went to the nearest dress maker's. It was a small shop, just off the Main Street, and was very sweet. Cho saw the dress she wanted in the window- before we even went inside. She quickly rushed inside, desperate to try the dress on, and me and Alicia followed giggling. Cho tried it on, and it was the perfect fit. She looked absolutely stunning in the gown. Cedric was sure as hell one lucky guy. Alicia took a little longer trying to find her dress, but eventually settled on a floor length gown, in a deep red - she also looked stunning.

Once both girls had payed for their dresses, we left, and went to Madame Pudifoot's. We all knew it was a date location, however I was craving one of her infamous mini chocolate logs - and so were Alicia and Cho. The woman behind the counter even gave us an extra one for Cedric - as he and Cho had come her many times, this made Cho blush a bit. We thanked the woman, and left to go out into the cold again.

On our way out, I saw Fred and Romilda, come towards us. As they walked by, I smiled at them, but they both ignored me. They just quickly entered Madame Pudifoot's and slammed the door behind them. 'Maybe they just wanted some privacy and alone time from any of their friends ?' I thought to myself. And I was left with that thought floating around my mind all the way back to the castle.
