"So what were gonna do is hand to hand combat, first person to be pinned to the ground loses." Techno said. Y/n nodded in understanding. "You ready?"
"Yep."
"Okay go." Techno ram and swung a punch at her. She dodged it at the last second. Sliding in the snow she regained her balance and swung at Techno. He dodged it. Y/n took the chance and kicked right behind his leg making his fall over. She pinned his arms to the ground with her knees.
"EYY NICE Y/N!" Phil yelled from the house. Y/n got up off Techno and helped him up.
"I was going easy on you."
"Sure Techno."
~~
After five more rounds it turns out he had been going easy on her. For the fifth time in a row Techno pulled her up from the ground.
"Again, Go." Y/n ran at him and swung. He dodged it swinging back in return. Y/n was knocked to the ground but got up quickly. They were both pretty far apart now. They both ran at each other.
Not yet. Not yet. NOW!
Y/n slid under Techno and tripped him. She pinned him to the ground, smirking.
"Nice job."
"Thank you."
"Can you get off me." She laughed and moved away. "Phil! Swords!" Phil tossed him two and he handed one to her.
"Let's just do the same thing that we did earlier, just try not to stab each other."
"Okay, and yes I'd appreciate not being stabbed."
"You ready?"
"I guess so." They got into their fighting stances. Y/n's was pretty similars to his. Techno swung his sword, she put her sword up and blocked the attack. She pushed him backwards. He stumbled backwards and regained his balance. Y/n gasped and pointed to something. Techno turned around quickly. She rushed over. He turned around and jumped. Y/n smirked.

"One of the first rules of combat, never get distracted by your opponent." Their faces were so close at this point she could feel his breath. Techno blushed, Y/n slipped her hand into his and grabbed his sword. Phil yelled something from the house. He swung at her. She dodged it and kicked his leg.
He fell to the floor.
"NICE JOB Y/N!" Phil yelled from the house. She smiled and helped Techno up.
"Your pretty good with a sword."
"Thanks, I had a good teacher."
"Who taught you?" She didn't answer for a second.
"George."
~~
"Y/n! Nice to see you again!"
"George we saw each other yesterday." He laughed.
"Well it's a pleasure to see you no matter what." He tossed her a sword. "Are you ready?"
"Of course I'm ready Gogy." They got into position and started to spar. George overtook her several times.
"Jesus George how are you good at this?"
"What can I say? I'm just a god."
"Cocky much?" They burst into laughter.
"One more spar and then we can stop. Maybe we'll have a picnic with Sap, Karl, and Quackity."
"Oooo that sounds nice!"
"Are you ready?" They got into position.
"Yup!"
"Y/n?"
"Y/n?!"
She snapped into reality.
"Y/n are you okay?"
"What?" Techno looked pretty worried.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine."
"You sure?"
"Yeah. Can we go inside it's pretty cold." They walked inside and sat on the couch.
"Your a nice sword fighter Y/n!" Phil said leaned on a chest.
"Thanks."
"Who taught you?" She sighed.
"George did."
"GeorgeNotFound? I didn't know he was good with swords."
"Yeah we would meet in a field every so often and he would teach me how to fight. I remember him saying that it'd good if I knew how to defend myself."

"I mean he wasn't wrong."
"Anyway I'm gonna go into my room and read for a little while." She climbed the ladder and walked into her room. Y/n felt bad leaving them to rudely but she needed time to think. There was a door closing.
Who left?
She grabbed her book and began to read.
I miss George. I hope he's not still hanging with Dream. He'd know better right?
Once she'd thought of Dream all the memories came back.
"Y/n come on!" Dream yelled happily.
"Y/N WATCH OUT!"
"Y/n we hereby banish you from this country."
"Oh N/n..."
She closed her eyes as tears flowed out of them. All she could hear was the loud pounding of her heart. Her vision blurred and she pushed her hands against her ears.
"Y/n! Dream please don't make her leave!"
"Sorry this is how it has to be."
"Y/N PLEASE!"
"Hey Y/n? Look at me." Phil said softly. She took her hands off her ears and looked up. "Can you take a couple deep breaths with me?" Phil imitated taking deep breaths and Y/n followed.
"I-I'm sorry."
"Don't apologize, what's wrong? Do you want to talk about it?"
"I don't know." Phil sat down next to her.
"Well maybe you should try and talk about it mate. Might you feel better."
"Okay. I guess I'm just having a hard time thinking about exile. I miss everyone on the smp but I miss George probably the most."
"Really?"
"Yeah, we were pretty close friends."
"That sounds nice."
"It really was, But the thing I hate is that I was good friends with Dream too. He knows everything about me. What my weaknesses are, how to break me. I wish I'd never met him." Phil opened his mouth to say something but then closed it. Then reopened it.
"Well you've changed since then. Sure Dream knows stuff about you but that doesn't mean you are weak when dealing with him. I think your stronger then him by far." Y/n smiled.
"Thanks Phil."
"Ay no problem mate. Also I was meaning to tell you something."
"What is it?"
"I've never seen Techno so protective over anyone. He seems to care about you a lot." She blushed furiously.
"PHIL?!!" He burst out laughing.

Hello I am a first time author writing this because I was sick of reading books that I never enjoyed and it has always been my wish to do something like this, to act upon my imagination and create something I enjoy. I may not be good at this and there could be a lot of grammar problems, but please bare with me as I stride along the path of an author! Please be warned about my novel. The first chapters are the crystallization of my first ever attempts at writing, I believe the story flow gets better as the chapters progress.

The Dawnfire Archives
It begins in the endless wastes, with an unknown man arriving at the bottom of the tallest mountain in existence. A mysterious voice provides few directions, bringing more questions than answers. Regardless, after choosing a name and weapon... the man begins to climb. He will not be alone on this journey. A young individual from a different reality has also made his way to The Climb. But what does their arrival bode for the people of this world? And where does climbing the mountain truly lead? This is my second novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the third being "The Card Thief of Culnivar". This story is much more GameLIT than Xianxia, and takes place in a different setting with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.

The Runners of Westal
Anya Vorian wasn't picky. She'd take any apprenticeship that came her way. She, Lori and Andrew had prepared all winter for the interviews, but when only one offer came with her name on it, she suddenly wasn't so sure that she could do it. It was hard work, for one thing. It was dirty. They were respected, certainly, but in the sort of way that one respects a skilled plumber - grateful to have the job done, but glad it isn't your arms elbow deep in dung. In short, runners were odd folk. Maybe it was time to get fast. - A first-person tale inspired by long distance running.
