《Demigods Meet Mortals》Joshua Rashid (Demigods)

Hi, I'm Joshua Rashid, most popular guy in Olympian High School. It might sound cool, but trust me, it's the worst. Ever since the Greek gods revealed themselves, principal Anova seemed to make it her responsibility to teach us all about Greek mythology. And guess what, no teacher here or anyone apparently anywhere knows about Greek mythology, and believe it or not, she hired kids to teach us. Yep, there' actually people my age that are bored enough to be interested in Greek mythology, and their not nerds, either. Their good looking. Very good looking.
Percy Jackson, pitch black messy black hair, sea green eyes you could get lost in, and a swimmers body.
Annabeth Chase, curly blond princess locks, tanned skin, stormy grey eyes that can look right through you, and a slim figure.
Hazel Levesque, curly cinnamon brown hair, bright golden eyes, chocolate skin, and a shy attitude, but she wouldn't hesitate to kick you where the sun don't shine.
Jason Grace, sandy blond hair, electric blue eyes, tanned skin, and a small scar on his upper lip.
Will Solace, light blond hair, pale blue eyes, and a bright smile with teeth worthy of those toothpaste commercials.
Nico Di Angelo, shaggy black hair, eyes that look like swirling pits of what could only be called Tartarus, and pale skin.
Piper McLean, choppy brown hair usually with a feather through a braid, tanned skin, kaleidoscope eyes, and daughter of Tristan McLean, the movie star
Frank Zhang, really built, rather intimidating but is actually quite shy and insecure of his look. Black hair, chestnut brown eyes.
Leo Valdez, messy black hair, light brown eyes, and a hyper elf.
These people seemed to know a lot about Greek mythology, heck, they knew how to speak the language! But this is how they got exposed, and ruined my life while at it.

It was a rainy day and I was sitting at my desk during another lesson of Greek mythology with our 'teachers', when they came in, all smiles. 'Alright, everyone. Today we are going to try some sword fighting! And a friend of ours is coming to help us train-teach you some skills.' Piper said, and we all went to the gym, where Percy and Hazel were standing by a few racks of swords while Frank and Jason were standing near the bleachers.
Will spoke first. 'Okay guys! What we want you to do is to grab a wooden sword each, and make sure they feel right in your hands. Same thing as a pair of glasses, you need the right one.' We all did that and waited for the next instruction, when a gorgeous girl walked in with a glowing black sword, distracting us all. But Piper smiled. 'Katie!' She cried and the two hugged. She must be the friend of theirs, I thought.
'Alright, hello everyone. My name is Katie Gardner, and I'm here to coach you on your sword fighting. I've been training for a few summers at my camp and trained by myself as well before then, so I won't be going easy on you.' She said jokingly.
Leo ran to the center of the front court and smiled. 'Who's going against Gardner first?' He asked, and I raised my hand, I was going to impress Katie by beating her since I did train for four years, which was longer than one summer. Obviously, I was going to win. Leo smirked and motioned for me to step forward.
Katie Gardner sized me up and down before flipping her sword in the air and catching it after swiping her feet under mine and tripping me. I cried out in surprise but quickly regained my composure and slashing my sword at her chest, trying to give her a warning to watch out, but the message didn't seem to be getting through to her. I decided it was about to get serious.

I attacked and fought as hard as I could, but fell to the ground after a direct hit from the flat of Katie's blade.

I woke to sunlight in my face and busy talking, groaning, I sat up and was faced with a guy with curved horns on his head, wait what?
'Joshua Rashid, I'm Grover, and you're at Camp Half-Blood.'

Adventurer Book II - Dawn of an Empire Short story prequel- The Lurking Lair: An Adventuer Series Short Story Summary for the LitRPG savvy reader: Looking for a LitRPG that is more tabletop traditional role playing game and less MMORPG? This is probably your cup of tea. Long term progression with a heavy slice of life element. Strong mix and inclusion of ancient Greek life, values, and myths. Hence, the world can be a bit more harsh and brutish than modern sensibilities. The system is tangible and knowable beyond the MC's insights. The MC is more of an everyman than someone specifically chosen for the experience. Author's Note: This is my debut novel. Up until this point, the only thing I have written of comparable length has been non-fiction and related to history. I am immensely grateful to all the folks who have given me feedback and helped me improve my writing.
