Makoto's POV:

I was pretty aware I was asleep. But when I opened my eyes I found myself in the trial room. Once again.

I sighed. Here we go again.

"Hiii" a voice said.

I looked over and found Junko sitting on a throne. She looked pretty normal. No bloody or anything like last time.

"Ready to cry and beg for me to stop giving you nightmares?" Junko's mouth broke into a twisted grin.

Okay that's it.

"You know what, fuck you" I glared.

Junko blinked and her grin vanished, "Uh excuse me?" she put her chin in her hand.

"You heard me. You like- kinda suck" I said. "Wait- kinda isn't even enough. You suck a lot" I said.

Okay call me childish for saying something like that but lets be honest. I'm not wrong.

"I'm not the one who killedddd my friends!" Junko laughed.

"Uh...didn't you put us in a killing game? You technically DID kill you friends" I pointed out.

"For despair! Obviously! All you are is some murderer!" Junko's twisted grin appeared again and it made me feel a little sick.

"I didn't mean to" I muttered.

"Well you killed Maizono. You promised that you and her will get out together and what happened?"

"she-"

"SHE DIED" Junko yelled.

I winced. Oh boy. Guess my heroic speech won't work. How do I even wake up from this?

"And then you suggested Chihiro to go towards Mondo for help" Junko continued.

"And then he died" I finished her sentence just so she can shut up faster.

"Exactly! Wow you're catching on" Junko laughed.

"I...I don't think that counts as a murder" I muttered.

"How so? Come on, humor me" She said.

"Chihiro's death was more indirectly and on accident. I wouldn't have predicted that Mondo would've killed Chihiro" I said.

"Mondo is a literal gang leader" Junko scoffed.

"Yes but at the time, Mondo never wanted to fight a girl. I know that because when I suggested he spar with Sakura, he refused. He was always a bit respectful towards girls. And since we thought Chihiro was a girl for a while, I never thought Chihiro would get...well murdered" I mumbled.

Junko stayed silent for a few seconds and laughed, "Seriously? That's still on you! You still caused Chihiro's, Sayaka's, everyones deaths!!" Junko yelled. For some reason I sensed a bit fo desperation in her voice.

"You were the one who put us in the killing game. If you haven't I wouldn't have done something like that. The only reason I 'caused' Sayaka's death was because we were in a literal killing game and In wanted to reassure her we would get out alive. She only tried to murder Leon was because YOU drove her to it. You gave her that motive video which caused her to become fearful. So technically, thats on you" I said.

"Well- still! Chihiro-" Junko started before I cut her off.

"The reason why Mondo killed Chihiro was because he was jealous of the fact Chihiro was stronger then him. Strong in a way that made Mondo feel insecure. With all the added stress from the killing game, that was the last straw. I think if we weren't in the killing game, if Chihiro told Mondo that, Mondo wouldn't have killed Chihiro" I said.

"You- Just shut up! You're worthless! They'll never forgive you for what you did! They hate you!" Junko yelled as she grew more panicky.

Is it really Junko? Or just my sub-conscious trying to blame myself for what happened?

"Maybe not. Who knows. Only time will tell" I said calmly.

Junko sneered, "You think your sooooo cool just because you gave a cool hope speech, don't you?! Do you seriously think I won't stop tormenting you just because of that?! NEWSFLASH KID. The only times that happens is in trashy movies. And this isn't a trashy movie!" Junko exclaimed.

"I'm...aware" I muttered.

"Just- gah! Shut up! Honestly though, you're just some worthless nobody! It's your fault! You could've saved them!" Junko yelled.

I hesitated for a moment, "...well. Whats done is done. You can't change the past. There's no point in beating myself over it when its literally over"

"THEY WONT FORGIVE YOU"

"...I know. But like I said, what's done is done"

Junko seemed to get more angrier, "YOU LITTLE-"

I blinked, "Huh?"

Junko paused and giggled, "Well then. Gotta get back to your world then"

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

I woke up to the sound of pounding on the door. I blinked open my eyes and sat up wearily, "Kuya..can you-" I yawned in the middle of my sentence, "-get that?" I asked as I rubbed my eyes.

Byakuya sighed and put on his glasses. the knocking/pounding still continued.

"I'm coming, god!" Byakuya yelled as he got off the bed.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"I said I'm coming!" Byakuya snapped.

He went over to the door and opened it, "what." Byakuya glared with tiny bags under his eyes.

Aoi was behind the door and she grinned, "Finally. You guys are such heavy sleepers, i've been knocking for like 10 minutes"

Byakuya sighed again, "What do you want?" He asked, clearly very grumpy.

"Were all eating breakfast! Come on you two!" Aoi jumped in place.

Byakuya checked his watch, "It's 8:00 am in the morning"

"I know! So chop chop you guys!" Aoi ran off with a bounce in her step.

"How does someone have this much energy at 8:00 am?" I said aloud.

"I don't know but I guess we have to go" Byakuya huffed.

I smiled, "At least we'll have quality time with everyone"

"I'm too tired to interact with peasants" Byakuya groaned as he went into the bathroom.

I laughed a bit and got on my phone. oh wow 113 notifications. I checked and saw that literally everyone in the groupchat was @ me and Byakuya.

I laughed a bit and turned off my phone. No offense Leon but you're gonna give me nightmares now.

Oh wait I already have nightmares.

That made me remember my dream. Ah. Somehow, I feel a little calmer. I know this stupid nightmares won't go away but....at least I know they're not true.

The bathroom door opened slightly, "Uh Makoto?" Byakuya poked his head out. His hair was wet and his glasses were off so he was squinting.

"Yes?" I asked.

"My clothes are in my bag. Can you give them to me?" he asked.

"Oh- yeah sure" I nodded. I got his bag and went through it to find his usual clothes. Aka, a suit.

"here you go" I held it out for him. it took him a few seconds to get it because...well he can't see anything without his glasses.

I laughed a bit and Byakuya shushed me. The door closed and I waited for a bit. After a few minutes Byakuya came out, "your turn. And you better hurry up. Judging by the group chat, they're getting pretty impatient"

"Finallyyyy you guys are here!" Ibuki yelled.

Me and Byakuya walked into the cafeteria/dining room place. The place above the hotel. yeah that place. Anyways everyone seemed annoyed by how long we took.

"You bastards are late" Fuyuhiko scoffed. Peko was by his side and put a hand on his shoulder.

"Sorry" I smiled nervously. A bit of grumbling happened and I turned red of embarrassment.

"We probably should've set an alarm" I said to Byakuya as we sat at the table with Ibuki, Sayaka, Leon, Kazuichi, Fuyuhiko, Peko and Kyoko.

"Definitely" Byakuya agreed. I looked around the table. Everyone was doing at least something.

Leon was talking with Ibuki about different types of music.

Sayaka was reading some sheet music that was probably Ibuki's.

Kazuichi was tinkering with some small machine and showing Fuyuhiko.

Fuyuhiko watched and asked questions.

Peko was holding one of Gundhams hamsters who was nearby at another table.

Kyoko was reading a book.

"Hey Peko? Did Gundham allow you to hold his hamster?" I asked.

Peko looked up, her red eyes slightly unnerving me, "yes" she nodded.

"Aw thats nice of him!" I smiled.

She nodded again, "Animals don't usually like me" she stared down at the hamster which was sleeping in her hand. Almost solemnly.

"Why not?" I tilted my head.

"They get scared by me" Peko sighed.

"To be fair, I would be scared of a tall, red eyed lady with a sword" Kazuichi commented. That seemed to bring down Peko's mood.

"Besides I- OW-" Kazuichi yelped. Fuyuhiko glared and then sipped his vegan chocolate milk. "nevermind" Kazuichi smiled nervously to Peko.

Teruteru brought us some food, "Enjoy~" Teruteru winked to us both.

"Leave before I kick you across the island" Byakuya sneered.

Teruteru left hastily after that.

I ate some of the fried rice and vegetables. "Oh hey guys, sorry for like- scaring the shit out of you" Leon said.

"It's fine" I shrugged.

"Well I don't forgive you." Byakuya glared.

Leon laughed nervously.

"Ibuki wants you guys to do a favor for her!" Ibuki smiled.

"Huh? Oh sure! What is it?" I asked. I liked helping people. It makes me happy and the person happy to.

"When you guys get home, cannnn you send a box of hair dye to Ibuki?" Ibuki laughed nervously.

"Oh sure! I don't mind" I said.

"Uh first of all, how would you send it to Mioda? She's a war criminal" Byakuya said.

I shrugged, "mail, obviously"

"...Could mail even come here???" Byakuya blinked.

"Probably!" I shoveled a spoon of food into my mouth. I looked over and saw Akane literally devouring her food in a matter of seconds. I felt queasy just from looking at her.

"Thanks Makoto-chi!" Ibuki patted me on the back.

Fuyuhiko scoffed, "Hey, while your at it, can you send me some knives so I can stab Teruteru whenever he flirts with me?" he asked.

"...uhhh sure?" I scratched my cheek.

"Cool thanks."

"Oh get me some machine parts!" Kazuichi grinned.

"I'll do that also-"

Kyoko laughed quietly to herself, "You could always say no" She said to me.

"eh- I want to be nice"

"a few years and you still haven't changed" she shook her head.

"Some people say thats a good thing" I did a finger gun. Which prompted her to roll her eyes.

"Maybe" she said.

I smiled and Byakuya put his arm around me. I looked over and he gave me a tiny smile.

"3 hour till we have to leave" Byakuya said checking his watch. We walked on the beach like last night. This time the sun was up and shining down on us. It was around 9:00 am and we had to leave at 12:00 pm.

"I wanna go talk with everyone before we leave!" I said immediately.

"You had the whole day yesterday though-"

"Still!"

Byakuya sighed, "Knock yourself out I guess"

I gave a thumbs up and ran off to go talk to class 77.

This will be interesting.

It took a bit but I finally found someone.

"Hi Gundham! Hi Sonia!" I waved.

Gudnham and Sonia looked over at me. Sonia was holding a tiny dog while Gundham stood by her.

"Hello there Makoto! How are you?" Sonia gave me a sweet smile.

"Oh I'm good! How are you and Gundham?" I asked. I kinda wanted to ask about the random dog and where they got it.

"I'm doing well" Sonia said.

"I am doing just as well as my dark princess" Gundham said ominously.

"oh that's nice! By the way, where did you get the random dog?" I asked.

"The darkest pits of hell."

I laughed nervously until i realized it wasn't a joke. It was just Gundham being Gundham. "Thats...nice"

"I have summoned the most terrifying creature ever! It will manage to destroy feeble mortal worlds and not get tired. It is truly a dark specimen" Gundham turned to the dog.

"Woof!" The dog barked.

Sonia giggled, "Such a cute terrifying creature!" Sonia booped the dogs nose and the dogs tongue hanged out, panting. You know, as dogs do.

It reminded me of my dog I had when I was little. Before the killing game. I smiled softly to myself.

The dog jumped out of Sonia's arms and ran over to me. It bit my pant leg and I yelped, "Oh! Hi there!" I smiled and crouched down. I pet the golden furred dog as it sat down and tilted its head.

"It has deemed you worthy" Gundham crossed his arms.

"Uhhhh what?" I asked.

"It has elected you as its owner" Gundham said.

"what-" that did not make more sense.

"The dog likes you! It wants you to be its owner!" Sonia translated.

"Really- how do you know?" I looked over at Gundham.

"I communicate with the dark creature telepathically"

"Cool!" I picked up the small dog, not even acknowledging Gundham's interesting choice of words.

"Make sure to feed him" Gundham said.

"I will! Thank you Gundham!" I smiled at him.

Gundham blushed and fiddled with his scarf, "Ah...It is no problem"

Sonia looked over at Gundham and giggled, "I think Gundham got a little flustered" Sonia said.

"I dO NOT GET FLUSTERED-" Gundham exclaimed.

"Sure" I smiled at him again.

Gundham blushed a little more, "hmph. Just go"

"I will. i'm going to talk with everyone else here so bye!" I waved and ran off.

I still didn't know where the dog came from. But the dog followed me as I ran. As I slowed down to a stop I looked towards the dog.

he looked up to me. "I'm gonna call you clover" I said

I went towards the pool where Akane and Nekomaru were.

"Hey Makoto-chan!" Akane gave me a grin. Her and Nekomaru were putting their feet in the pool and seemed to be talking.

"Hi guys!" I gave a wave as Clover bounded after me.

"Uhhh where did you get the dog?" Akane pointed.

"The deepest pits of hell" I said calmly as I sat down next to them.

Nekomaru and Akane stayed silent.

"Kidding. I actually don't know" I said.

"Well- who knows! Anyways wanna work out with me and Nekomaru?" Akane grinned.

"Ah- no thank you. I'm planning on talking with everyone here and thats gonna take a while. And I'm also un-athletic" I said.

"JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE UN-ATHLETIC DOESN'T MEAN YOU CANT WORK OUT" Nekomaru yelled as he stood up.

Wow. His voice is loud.

"Exactly! Come on Makoto-chan! At least do some push-ups!" Akane stood up after Nekomaru.

"Uhm-" I turned red from embarrassment as Akane and Nekomaru stared at me hopefully.

I sighed and stood up, "Okay then"

Akane and Nekomaru whooped with joy.

"OKAY MAKOTO. 10 PUSH-UPS. GO" Nekomaru pointed.

Oh no.

I sighed even heavier and got into a push up position.

8 minutes later I finally did 10 pushups. I collapsed on the ground, breathing heavily.

"That....was...GOOD" Nekomaru said trying to be nice.

"That sucked Makoto-chan! Come onnnn, didn't you do P.e in school?!" Akane groaned.

"Technically no" I sighed as I sat up, sweat dripping down my forehead. Why is it SO hard to do push-ups?!

"You'll get better within time!" Nekomaru patted my back which almost made me collapse again.

"Hey how about this, when you get home, every week we should FaceTime and you can do work-outs with us! It'll help get some meat on your skinny arms" Akane grinned.

"...sure" I said silently judging myself for what I have gotten myself into.

"I'm...gonna go" I said standing up and quickly walking off.

Clover followed me and I stared at him, "I bet you don't have to do workouts" I said sadly.

I went into the cafteria/dining room again and found Teruteru and Imposter (dressed up as Byakuya).

Teruteru noticed me and his eyes lit up, "Makoto! Glad you are here! I wanted someone to taste my homemade lasagna" Teruteru grinned as he held a pan of lasagna.

"Oh? Yeah sure I'll taste it" I sat down next to imposter as Teruteru went into the kitchen to get a plate for me.

"So...how are you?" Imposter asked me.

"I'm doing well! You?" I asked.

"Good. I apologize if its a little awkward looking like your boyfriend" Imposter pushed up his glasses.

"It's fine, don't worry" I said.

"I talked with him yesterday. He doesn't seem to like me" Imposter said.

"He doesn't really like anyone, don't take it too harshly" I reassured him.

"He likes himself. and I look like him so"

I laughed a bit, "Good point" I said.

Teruteru walked out of the kitchen with the lasagna on a plate, "here you go" Teruteru handed me the plate and winked.

If I had a nickel for every time Teruteru winked at me in a day, I'll have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

"Thanks" I said as I took the fork and ate some of the food. Teruteru stared at me, waiting for my reaction.

Wow.

It tasted heavenly.

"It tastes- like amazing!" I said as I ate more.

Teruteru smiled and pulled out a comb, "Theres more where that came from. Imposter ate some also and liked it. Just wanted to get a second opinion and boom here you are" Teruteru grinned.
