I haven't updated this story in a long time.

I wrote this when I was in 8th/9th grade. Back then, I had this fear of aging. I didn't want to be an adult and because I was young, my version of old and mature was like age 17. It was the oldest I could go without feeling the weight of responsibility as I often imagined myself as the main girl of the story. My understanding of the world was naive and all of the characters I made had reactions that helped transition the plot, but not define them as people, which lead to many of the characters having two dimensional personalities.

Other than that, I think the bases of this story is alright, a vampire and a girl who literally cannot feel fear is an interesting concept, but my fear of aging had lead me to write a story about an old a** vampire grooming some sheltered girl with mental and emotional problems when I could have been something entirely different and less controversial. It's a disturbing story disguised as a love story about a child desperate for friends and a grown man who had been alive for 100+ years. That's really gross and it makes me wonder. Why on earth did I think this was okay? I wrote about the relationship like it was something to be desired. Everything about it reeks of edgy teenager.

I have a couple of chapters written with a similar premise. In a small town far from the outskirts of the city, a college age woman who lacks emotion has an over attachment with her unfaithful mother, a hateful older brother who is constantly fighting his grandfather and father over inheritance, and a professor who slowly goes mad as the semester progresses. Said town is also a feeding ground for a certain lowly vampire.

I want to make the relationship between reader and vampire boy Cain legal. And I'm not talking barely legal. The reader is gonna be a second year (sophomore) in .

I want to keep all the same characters, but highlight their individual personalities instead of just giving them all extreme mood swings. I also want to highlight the tragedies that will occur instead of glossing over them like I tended to do after the sad chapters ended.

I just want everyone to forget about this story's stinky doodoo plot.
