《Scarlet Taste (Vampire! Yandere x Emotionless! Reader)》8. It knows your name

For the next few weeks, all you did was go to school and hang out with Joel. That was your schedule. Aiden still would try to talk to you, but Liam was too stubborn. You didn't care... as long as your mother was happy, you were fine.
You and Joel have gotten fairly close... well... that's what she told you. She tells us you her secrets and you've had a couple of sleepovers. Joel even did your make-up one time. She told you that you had a "rock'n bod" and that you would be super popular if you weren't so reserved. You didn't care about popularity so you brushed it off, but that didn't stop her from trying to make you open up to others.
When will she see that you are as open as you will ever be.
It was Wednesday. After school and while you were walking home, Aiden and Liam stopped you.
"Hey (y/n), wanna go to our place!?" Aiden says, his voice cracking. He was nervous. He had a feeling that you would say no. Any normal person would father what his brother had said about your family, but you were far beyond normal.
Both Aiden and Liam looked panicked. Liam was franticly typing away on his phone and Aiden was busy staring at you. His eyes were red and puffy and his cheeks were covered in dry tears. They both looked like they were in a hrry to get somewhere.... like they were trying to run away.
"Why?" You say, unbothered.
"Please! Please.... you are our friend right? Friend hang out with each other and go to each other's houses. Please... I'll explain when we get there..." Aiden looked like her was about to cry again.
The key word was friend. You needed more of those. Your mother would be even happier if you had more so you agreed.
"Okay." You say.
Your reply surprised both boys. In Aiden's eyes, you could see just a tiny glimmer of what could be mistaken as happiness. You have seen enough pictures of happy people to know what a happy person should look like, but in his eyes was something else too. You couldn't pinpoint it... you don't know what emotion that could possibly be.

Liam had a car so you drove. The car smelled like cigarettes. Liam and Aiden lived on the same street as you. The street was incredibly long, but that's because these housed used to be the only houses in your town. Their house was a bit bigger than Joel's. It was an older model just like your house, but your house was way bigger. Aiden opens the door. All the lights in the house were on. The house was as confusing as yours. There were doors all over and the worse part of it all was that the door weren't made from the same woods. One door would be cherry wood and another would be a maple wood door that was painted white. It was so unappealing to look at.
"Up here." Liam says, tugging on your arm.
He drags you up the stairs. There were only four rooms in the upstairs. Each door looked different... the same as down stairs. Aiden stood next to a door. On the other side of the door, you could here sobbing.
It was the sound of a grown man sobbing.
"Please leave her out of this...."
"John's in there." Aiden whispers. "He really needs to talk to you. I know you said you didn't do anything to him, but I'm seriously starting to doubt you..."
"Okay." Without knocking, you open the door.
"Wa–" Liam covers Aiden's mouth.
"Let her." He whispers, closing the door behind you.
There was John. He was crying, looking down at a woman who was laying down on the bed. You would have thought she was dead if it wasn't for how hard she was breathing. She was sick... very sick.
"John." You say.
He didn't recognize your voice. Along with your body, your voice had aged as well. You sounded wise and your voice was crisp and clear. For a second, he couldn't even recognize you, but then he saw your (e/c) eyes. They were dead, yet they still had some innocence in them... just like they did all those years ago. The air around you was intimidating to John.

"It's you..." he says sadly. He held no anger towards you. You did nothing that would make him angry at you anyway. You were ignorant... you didn't listen to him because you didn't understand. He understood why you fired him.
"Who is this?" You ask, walking closer to him and the woman.
"My wife." He says, tears rolling down his face.
You notice that the wounds on John's neck had turned into scars. The scars were probably darker than they were now.
Even thought they were healed, they still looked ugly. You look down at his wife. She had the same color hair as Aiden. She didn't have any color on her face and she looked thin.
You study her pale face for a while and then you see them.
She had two puncture wounds on her neck that were almost identical to the ones that John once had. They looked worse than his did. There was puss coming out of them and they were inflamed with infection. This wound wasn't too old, but it definitely wasn't new either.
Around the wound the skins was red, purple, and in a few spots, blue.
"Take her to a hospital." You say, your blank expression unchanging.
"I can't." John sobs.
"Why?"
"Because he'll kill her and then he'll go after my sons.... and then he'll kill me." John starts to cry hysterically.
"Who?" You felt weird. You didn't feel good.... why?
"The.... the monster...."
You brush your hand along the woman's face. She was pretty. She was a mother... and all mothers were important.
"What did you want to talk about?" You say, not bothered by his crying
"The monster.... he knows your name... I... it wants you. All he does is talk about you! It wants you... just you!"
"Is that all?" You mumble.
"You have to go with it!" He yells. "You have to so he'll leave me and my family alone!"
"No." You say. "That's stupid."
"Please....his feeding has been getting worse! He's mad now (y/n)! Look how rough he was on her!" He removes the blanket from her body.
She was covered in bruises and wounds. Each wound came in pairs. They all look pretty bad, but they weren't as bad as the one on her neck. Some of the wounds were fresh.
"I can't leave my mother behind just because of your issues." You say almost robotically. "A mother will always be special. They are like angels that live in every household, but my mother is not just an angel, she's a goddess." You turn around, walking towards the door.
"But.... but she'll die! My wife will die!" John yells. "How can you be so heartless!?"
"You were my teacher for a long time John... you should know that." You say, leaving the room.
Liam and Aiden give you a questioning look.
"Well?" Aiden asks. "What happened?"
"Nothing." You murmur, walking down the hall and down the stairs.
"Wait! Where are you going!?" Liam yells, chasing after you.
Right as you are about to open the front door he stops you.
"Is she going to be okay?! What happened in there!?" He asks, worried.
"Well," You say, you hand still gripping the doorknob. "Your new mother might just die."

Humanity Extinguished
I had the same nightmare again. The loss of my first life continues to haunt me, but now it aches like an old wound. A more grievous injury to my psyche was the losses yet to come and the inevitable hellscape I would return to again and again. Reincarnation is my curse. The lives themselves weren't all that bad. Losing people you cared about hurt and all, but even that pain was preferable to experiencing the nothingness between lives for months at a time. It was enough to drive anyone mad. Now I have to focus on breaking this horrible cycle. Thankfully I have all the time in the world. Trace is an average man driven by extraordinary circumstances in an indifferent and cruel world. His reincarnations give him a few key advantages but also take a heavy toll on him. He lives in a world where magic is uncommon and underpowered compared to the limitless physical adaptations you can acquire by getting your hands a little bloody. This story is one of hardship and terrible lows, but also monumental achievements and grand heights. The main character has flaws. While some of these flaws will fade with time, others will worsen. Thank you for taking the time to read my synopsis. I plan to release 2-3 chapters a week.
