《In the Afternoon》My Latibule, My solitude

Everybody has a latibule.

A hiding place.

A place of safety, and comfort.

A solitary space.

Where only you can escape to.

Amaris's was the Estate's garden.

Mine was a considerable ways away from the Estate.

A cool, clear creek, that cuts through the rolling hills of flowers.

It stems from the beautiful Estate pond, and one day, I followed it far away,

Until I reached the end, where the small stream transforms into a small waterfall,

Cascading down a pile of rocks,

And creating a shallow pool at the end of it.

The pool falls under the shadow of a lonely apple tree,

Blossoming in the spring.

Under the shade of the apple blossoms,

At the edge of the crystal clear pool,

I seek my solitude.

This is my latibule.

The subtle scent of the flowers relaxes me.

The murmuring of the waterfall calms me.

I find peace in this place.

Happiness in the seclusion.
