cook it with care.

Serve just enough,

so that you can share.

Plate it with elegance,

garnish the top.

Slice the ingredients,

with a frivolous chop

Prepare and serve

the glorious meal,

and once you are ready,

you may reveal.

Should your guests be displeased,

by your elaborate display,

be swift and subtle,

and take it away.

Don't ever reveal,

your true disappointment,

for your guests may believe,

that you are just poignant.

A lady doesn't show,

her feelings so true,

for feelings don't make,

the boys come pursue.

So instead she just drills,

her ladylike skills,

that a woman men marry,

often fulfills.

Now I just sit,

with my lifetime of glum,

Hoping with vigor,

I'll one day know fun
