“Damn! Shadow, are there any markings that either you or bookworm can locate that would indicate his family, his status, and/or a contract from realm CaK?”

“I’m a step ahead of you Drin. He carries three separate items bearing the crest of the Blading family,”

“Which three items, Bookworm?”

“Thanks for interrupting me Drin. The three items are his sword guards, the cape on his back, and the pouch over his nape.”

“Fuck! There are only two people who I know of who wear their family crests like so. And only one would be recommended for this type of solo work. Is there a contract, Bookworm?”

“Yes, there is a contract. Using one of my more dangerous spells, I decoded the contents of the contract, and it says that realm CaK has narrowed our location down to universes K and R. And do you need the social status of the one under contract?”

“No, the pouch and cloak tell me everything I need to know about his social status. Unless he hasn’t died yet, which is more than likely, that is Narriffian Blading, whose prowess and cunning, back when I lived among the Drow, was second only to me. He’s been chasing after me since we met at the sword fighting academy in the city of the Drow.”
