《The Devil Of Smoke (悪魔)》Henry's firepower

For those who had an ability, there was special time during class that was set aside for training. While there was no bar as to what grade your ability had to be, to be picked for this special training it was still difficult to be chosen. There was an unspoken rule that if you didn’t have the power to fight on par with Henry’s lackeys, and show shocking power, or have close ties to the school board and it’s lackeys, you’d fail the test within the first five minutes.
The principal was a scary man, though he was easily bribed. This turned the school into one that relied on social connections more than skill or power.
The students who received a defect stood up from their chairs, and began walking towards the door. Just as the last one was about to exit, henry said “Don’t think I forgot about our routine”
The entire class sighed.
It was Henry, the one in our class with a B grade ability. He went from row to row slapping the backs of everyone’s head. He slapped harder for the people he especially hated. He had no mercy as he didn’t leave the girls out.
And what was the teacher doing? Picking his nose and whistling like nothing was happening. Henry’s family was rich, and the teacher favored him as he got to go to the nightclub in exchange for turning a blind eye to bladent assault.
Henry’s ability was to generate fire anywhere around his body he pleased. He could focus it on the back of his hand to generate more force for a punch, slap, pimp slap, and even kicks.
It was a martial artist’s dream power.
He went from row to row until he was finally behind Elithian.
“I’m gonna enjoy this… See me during lunch… we got business to attend to” He said, sounding mysterious.

Henry used to be Elithian’s childhood friend, until the incident happened… ever since then, he had hated him with his entire heart.
Fire exploded out of his hands and he used the momentum from the fire paired with that of his strength to slap with his entire force. It sent Elithian hard into the wooden desk, cracking it.
He walked away saying nothing as he left.
Blood gushed out of Elithians head. He was still conscious, which surprised him. Had this happened last week, he would be flat on the ground sucking his thumb.
The chances of staying conscious like that without an ability with a grade of D or higher was simply wishful thinking.
‘Was it the mallicore that I consumed yesterday?’ He thought, his heart beginning to race.
‘Have I achieved an ability! My dreams of money and women are gonna be mine!’ He thought, indecently. Those with abilities achieved greater feats than those without. They had power to do almost anything, and Elithian seeked this power. He was an indecent neat who read too many light novels with perfect characters. None of them ever did something to satisfy their needs, just saving everyone and acting like a saint. He was annoyed that the power was given to them.
In the process, forgetting it was entirely fictional.
Elithian pulled himself from the desk holding his gargantuan forehead in the palm of his hands.
“What???” Everyone yelled in shock. They hadn’t expected him to still be conscious.
“Hmph” The teacher sounded with his mouth.
“Someone grab me the phone off the wall so we can get the orb. Seems we have a late bloomer.”
The phone was only six feet from his seat. He was in fact a middle aged lazy loser.
It was still possible to attain a defect before the age of 18. While it was highly unlikely, there were still cases like this. Of course, it wasn’t that he was a late bloomer. He had just bought mallicore off a shady site.

After a few minutes passed the door slid open. It was a woman from the office. She wore a white vest and a tight grey shirt under that. She wore tight jeans which really caught a man’s attention. To say the least, she had a really defined figure.
All the men in the class ogled at her beauty. The women had a face of digust and madness. They were annoyed they didn’t have that type of figure. She walked over to the teacher’s desk and handed him a black box. The teacher smiled uncontrollably.
‘She’s way out of your league, dude’ Elithian thought as he noticed his simpness.
“Thank you Ms. S” The teacher said.
“No problem, Mr. Mason,” Ms. S said, keeping it simple.
“How about we go out for a beer sometime?” Mr. Mason said, praying in his heart.
Ms. S laughed a little in pity. “Sorry, but I’m busy. Plus, this isn’t appropriate for the class.”
She turned around and walked towards the door. She scanned the area. Elithian’s eyes meet with hers.
Ms. S took a bandage out of her pocket, and tossed it towards Elithian. Surprisingly, the bandage was big enough to contain the bleeding spot.
She smiled then the door slid close, breaking the silence of the class.
“Bro she smiled at me! I think that colon is working!” A student to the side of him said.
“Sure” Elithian replied, knowing it wasn’t him. He dazed at the door where the milif had left. He began daydreaming. He had forgotten to say thanks.
“So are you gonna come up here?” Mr. Mason said, breaking Elithian’s fantasy.
“Sorry Mr. Mason, I was daydreaming” Elithain replied getting up.
‘What?!’ Mr. Mason thought, surprised at how deep Elithains voice was. They boy had already gone through puberty as he stunk and his voice got deeper than it was a month prior. So, to have another drop in his voice surprised him.
The women glanced at Elithian, expecting someone different with such a s#xy voice. It was comforting. It soothed the soul and sent tingles down one’s neck.
Elithian rose up from his cracked table, and started towards Mr. Mason’s desk. He heard a creaking and then lound boom behind him. He turned and saw that his desk was broken beyond repair. His knees must’ve been keeping it up.
“You’re paying for that” Mr. Mason said, the sentence cutting through Elithian’s ears.
“D#MMIT” He said, in anger. He exhaled and began walking over to Mr. Mason’s desk again.
The class laughed at the comical scene.
The women disregarded any thoughts of his manliness that formed in their head within those few seconds.

The Humble Life of a Skill Trainer
For Joshua Still, Skills were the lifeblood of his business. He wanted to understand them, collect many of them, and teach a few of them. Or, so says the Tailors Guild. The same could be said by the Blacksmiths, the Bakers, the Butchers, the Candlestick Makers, the Mages, and every other Guild with enough money and clout to complain. But still, Skill Trainers provide a valuable service, and so he has managed to start his business and keep it under the table. To a degree. With many a bribe. But his quiet anonymous life of research, practice, and training was about to change. When the Baron demands you pay him a visit, you have little choice.

Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
