《Kindled Spirits》SC 2: House Upgrades
Advertisement
It’s been a month after all people on earth arrived at this game. Many has grown accustomed to this game and began to live a peaceful life here, many says that there are even towns that has been built by people on this game. Pretty radical if you ask me!
Of course there are the daring types that seek to find adventure. Like me, I want to explore the world and what it got to offer. I looked at the chat in the game to see what people are talking about in the world until one caught my eye. Someone is looking for a boss hunt, they promise to give 50/50 of the rewards from the boss.
I thought to myself how weak am I in this world, how do I get a title in the game and how do I equip it. This all seems to be nonsense for me, why are people trading almost everything, from food to tools maybe they are just looking a way to get by. Also what is the monetary system in this game.
I pondered quite a bit as I lay down in my little bed. Maybe I need to make a bigger house, it’s time to leave this little shack and go big. I just need to find out the crafting recipes for the required items. I went to my chest and tried to find the blueprint that I found a while ago.
House
Structure
Recipe
-x100 Cement
-x200 Wire
-x20 Iron rods
How to find this? Maybe I should ask Mira to see how to craft all of this.
“Are you awake?”
“What do you need Galaxy?”
“I need to know how to craft cements, wires, and iron rods.”
“You are finally building a bigger house?”
“This old place needs to be upgraded. I need electricity once in my life!”

“You really are a weird one huh? Alright take some paper and pencil and write this down.”
“Papers and pencils don’t exist here…”
“Just kidding, don’t you get a joke?”
“Sorry…”
“To craft an iron rod, you need to heat up your iron in your makeshift furnace and then head straight to the anvil. That’s all there is to it, not much. For wires, you just need 2 copper and rubber. That will get you 20 wires so you don’t have to craft much
For the cement, you need some gravel, just head up to your crafting bench and craft it. 1 is to 1 in that crafting recipe.”
“While we are at it, how could I craft a fan?”
“You need 10 wires, 10 iron, and a mini motor.”
“How to craft that?”
“I’ll just give you one.”
“Okay, thank you!”
Now that I know how to craft a house it’s time to get going! I grabbed my ice pick, some torches and headed to a cave to find some metals! On my way to a cave I encountered a monster that is similar to a bear. I think this one is a powerful one!
Great Inferno Bear
HP: ?
MP: ?
SP: ?
-You don’t have enough knowledge of this species.
I need to know about the species to look at its stats? The hell is up with this game?
I grabbed my gun and start to fire at him. The bear dodged every shot that fire to him. He seems really pissed off at me. In the middle of the fight the faker, Albert called me.
“Yo dude, what’s up!”
“Not the right time Albert! I’m fighting a Great Inferno Bear!”
“Oh, it’s a bear with 500 HP. That monster is hard to kill! Your fighting an uncommon monster right now.”

“Well it’s no match for 50k damage gun!”
“Dude, how you get that? There is no 50k damage gun in the game!”
“Have you even defeated the twins?”
“Umm…”
“Just say the truth to me, have you ever heard about towns in this game?”
“…”
“You are a faker are you?”
“Sorry…”
“Just tell the truth next time please.”
In the midst of our talking I finally killed the bear, this one is hard to kill even with a powerful gun. Now to find that cave!
I found a decent sized cave after my hours of going through wilderness. I went down in the cave and mined and mined until I have enough resources to make my house. It was dawn when I got of the cave because I exhausted its resources.
I teleported back home and quickly went to craft everything I need, I spent hours crafting everything from wires to concrete, and the iron rods(in that time he got some gravel too). And then I decided on where to put the house, should I place it near my shack or far from it. I decided to put it near the house to make sure the shack serves as a crafting station now.
I put a lightning rod in the roof to make sure it get some energy. After a decent amount of crafting I finally created a bigger home and finally have electricity! “This is the life” I said as I lay down in a couch I crafted while I sit back and enjoy the gust of wind from the fan.
I went outside and looked at what I made, it was a working home with electricity. Maybe later I can upgrade this house with solar panels or wind mills to make sure electricity stays at a maximum.
Now onto what to do next?

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

Unknown Fate's End
The ancient's believed that a man's fate or destiny is written already, and that only God or maybe the Gods could change it. If they did change it, it was believed it was for a purpose unknown to that man or for maybe for the ammusement of those higher beings. However, whether that is true or not, one thing is for certain. Changing a man's fate will create a ripple of changes. Join our hero, who whether by luck, by some divine intervention, or by his own choice, separated from the fate that he shared with his fellow earthlings. Watch him struggle in his new world. Watch him grow. Watch him learn. Watch him walk a path oustside what destiny has for him. FYI: The magic concept in this story is high fantasy with involvement of polytheistic religions and demons. There will be a mix of GameLit style writing mixed with traditional magic novel style writing. The plot developement will be slow in the first volume, as I will focus on world building and character building. The main character will not be OP immediately and will develop into one in his own way over time. This series is built less like modern Japanese, Korean, and Chinese webnovels and more like the old school fanstasy novels like DND and Forgotten Realms.
