《King's Throne: Snow's Story》Chapter 4 - The Secret

Everyone who lived in Rosewell knew a fact. The King has taken the child off the street. However, this fact was not the only one. There was still secret hidden inside the palace. Another fact was the girl whom The King met was talented.
An unusual talent she had. Magic.
That ability should not be possessed by ordinary people. Only they, the first child of a mage family, could use mage-craft. That talent had always descended in blood. They who could wield it were called Magus.
The King was well aware of every wizarding family that lived on his land. Every sorcerer or sorceress family had an obligation to serve the kingdom. All the searches he had done again. Unfortunately, he found no good results. Adelle didn't come from any wizarding family.
Albert had already asked the head Magus who worked under him to guide Adelle. Eveline, the woman he trusted, saw no resemblance to Adelle to any of the Magus family.
That day, Albert returned to visit the workplace of the head of Magus. He had asked Eveline - the chief magus - to guide the girl. On the other side of the palace, a large room filled with books was the Magus' room. With a knock on the door, the twin wood flung open.
"Ah, Your Majesty," said Eveline. Her feet stepped out to meet the king. She closed the door quietly behind her back. "I'm sorry. They're studying, I can't invite you inside."
The woman's eyes looked down as she apologized. Eveline was a polite person with a gentle demeanor. Adelle would thrive under the influence of the head Magus.
The mother of a child still looks so young. How could she not, she was only in the middle of her 30s. Her dark hair tied into a bun.
"It doesn't matter. I don't want to bother them."

Wizarding or magic was a difficult thing. The concentration required to learn about it was indeed higher. Eveline couldn't invite the king to come inside.
She was worried that the concentration of those who were studying would be disturbed. Thankfully, Albert understood clearly, even though magic was something he couldn't use.
"What are you doing here, Your Majesty?"
"I just want to see how things are going. How is everything?"
Eveline looked thoughtful for a moment. She was composing words. The King had known the Magus since he was a teenager. Albert memorized this habit. A moment later, the owner of the dark brown hair spoke.
"About the Adelle family, I'm sorry, but I couldn't find anything. She doesn't come from any wizarding family, nor do I find any resemblance either physically or in her way of using magic."
Several wizarding families have their uniqueness. A self-identity. Some of the magician families even had magic that only that family can do.
"Is that so ...?" asked the king, "this is hard."
Albert sighed. His hand is on his chin. He didn't know what else to do. Not only Adelle, but she also did not find the family origin of Darius or Lucius.
"About her magic ability, she is talented in attack magic. She needs time for protective magic, but her attacks are great. I think the amount of Manna she has is more than Clara," Eveline continued again, "Adelle's dominant element is fire, even if she can use another."
"So she's the attack type, huh?" Albert looked at Eveline.
"That's right," she replied, nodding, "doesn't Adelle have two more siblings? Can they use magic too?"
"I don't know for sure. I think I'll need your help again, Eve." Eveline smiled.
He nodded back, "Sure. I'm at your service."

Albert stepped away. On the training ground, he found Jeno - his general - and the two boys. An exercise with a wooden sword. Even though the training resulted in an unbalanced battle, two on one, there was no sign of Jeno losing. On the contrary, Darius's breath sounded rushed.

Jeno's body was tall. He was barely 2 meters in size. Thankfully, the dark man was not that big. He was only 1.9 meters tall.
Even though Albert was standing there, they weren't bothered by his presence.
The movements used by Darius, also Lucius, were completely different. When Albert faced them for the first time, their movements were chaotic, disorganized, and ineffective.
Now they were more organized, even though they still have many flaws left in them.
"Lucius! Your position is too open, you can be beheaded in that position! You're the same, Darius! Thinking on the front lines is not a good choice!"
With that sentence, Lucius looked at his older brother. He didn't look tired, but a different story from Darius. His eldest brother was almost exhausted. Next, their eyes met and both of them nodded.
The older boy then stepped back, while the other one faced the knight. Lucius gripped the wooden sword tightly. Jeno grinned, waiting for what would happen. The sound of the two logs clashing was fast and repeated. Jeno tried to knock the sword out of Lucius' hand, but the boy held it tightly.
Meanwhile, his eldest brother started to move. Jeno's concentration was divided. However, the knight was still at an advantage. The fatigue was visible too clearly on Darius's face.
The other boy would be easier to knock over.
"Is this how you play?" Jeno said to Lucius who was fighting him, "I see."
Lucius replied with a big smile. In the next second, Jeno swung his wooden sword fast and strong. He managed to drop the wooden sword from Lucius' hand. Then, the trainer ran towards Darius to attack him.
For a moment, Darius looked ready to face Jeno. He held his sword in his right hand. Unfortunately, the prediction was wrong.
The eldest threw the wooden sword at his younger brother. Lucius was behind Jeno. He jumped up to catch it, then ran to attack Jeno. The wooden sword then touched their trainer's back.
"Good job. Training over," said the knight to the two.
Jeno's face was smiling, he held back from laughing. What a ridiculous strategy. He didn't believe Lucius could hit him.
The two of them then sighed and fell to the ground. Lucius laid on the grass, Darius sat there.
"However, that strategy is unusable, too dangerous, Darius," he continued.
Darius nodded, "I know. With a real sword, I wouldn't be able to throw like that. However, in the previous state, we would have both completely lost."
"So you guys chose to bet on low odds?" asked Jeno.
He also sat with the two of them. "That's right," Lucius replied, "we have no chance of winning by fighting you head-on."
Next, the king approached the three of them and they hurriedly stood up to pay their respects. The two children were still breathing hard. They tried not to pay attention to the fatigue screaming.
"Ah don't push yourself, you guys must be tired. Sir, how is it going?"
"It has improved, Your Highness. However, it is still far from the capabilities required on the battlefield," replied Jeno to the king.
Albert nodded in response that he understood. Then, the focus was on the two children.
"Darius, Lucius," Albert called.
"Yes, Your Highness?" they replied, almost simultaneously.
"I need you to come with me."
