《The Sister In The Forest(Cancelled)》(Rewrite in Progress) 6: Greetings, My Long Lost Sister

The spending days of my enjoyment alongside these new faces I've met, I know I was having fun but that cave always came back to mind, it always felt like something was calling for me and it always came from out of the darkened cave where the sun doesn't touch.
I wasn't sure if it was just me dearly missing my sister that much or because I felt at home in that cave of memories, so I chose an option and that was to explore the cave once again after I was starting to be fed up with this constant thought of the cave.
It took me a while to separate from a group where all of the attention was on me for some reason and immediately started chasing off into the woods where nobody followed me at all. When I approached I felt the same fresh aura of peace and happiness as I stepped into the cave to stare at the pictures of my sister.
This is what I always wanted and I finally had the moment to visit the path of my sister's mysterious missing, I started my investigation once again as I scanned all of the pictures trying to find any clues on why she disappeared so dramatically out of my life.
"There doesn't seem to be any signs of stalkers in these photos in and out..." I whispered to myself, itching my chin consciously as unmarked answers swam around my head. Then a picture of me and my sister along with my family perked my interest as I pulled it off the wall to look at it more clearly.
Of course, I felt merely insane with this weird instinct that crunched inside my lifted stomach every time I looked at both of my parent's faces, yes, they were smiling happily but something about it felt off. Their eyes didn't synchronise with the wide smiles that they portrayed to the camera standing behind a gleeful Althea pulling a peace sign to her cheek with her left hand while the right hand was messing my hair up.

But when I was about to pull out my phone from my pocket to see if the question I was asking is answered truly, I heard a slight distant whisper be played very close to me, almost like the whisper was inside the cave with me. I drifted my head behind me with a smile thinking it was just Lia playing around with me, when I turned my eyes in the direction of the whisper I saw nothing, my confident smile dropped drastically into a firm serious expression.
"Maybe I misheard something," I reasoned with myself before I pulled out my phone to look at my empty gallery where there were a few pictures of my parents smiling, I matched the pictures in my gallery with the picture I held in hand and saw that the eyes in the gallery photo felt more sincere and more realistic while the ones on the Althea selfie photo felt more forced and faked.
"Why would they fake-" I went to say but was interrupted by a loud rip of a collapsing tree, I flinched from the massive crack of the tree falling in front of the cave shooting out its leaves past my narrowed feet bending into each other. Seconds afterwards, I uncovered my face from my raised arms and looked at the fallen tree knowing something was up and that something was a dangerous situation I fell into.
But I didn't want to believe that at first, I stood out of the cave thinking of reasons why the tree fell, I found where the tree fell to my right and looked at its roots seeing it was ripped off from some monstrous force. I squatted downwards and wrapped my arms under the bottom surface of the tree to see if I could lift it, while I tried lifting it I felt my energy drain from exhaustion and felt my hands started to sting from the spikey regions of the slim tree.
Eventually, I slammed myself onto my butt and took deep breaths to catch the air of my suffocated lungs and flickered my eyes up into the sky to see the blue waves of the sky be poisoned by the infections of white splashed clouds that had no 3D textures to its exterior outlook. I kicked the tree with frustration as I shook my hands trying to avoid the stinging by adding the pressure of the cold wind brushing across my sensitive skin.

As I was spending time resting peacefully, the sounds of a snapping leaf gained my attention again as I snipped my head around finding nothing was watching me. I scoffed to myself and thought it was just wildlife of bugs and animals trying to avoid me out of fear.
"Sister, today I've learnt that I am a wuss that gets scared at everything. Feel free to laugh at me because I am laughing at me right now," I snickered loudly, pushing my fringe out of my face to see more of the foliage nature.
"Avenge..." A deranged voice whispered behind me, once I got the hang of what the whisper said I felt myself strangle with unstoppable fear when the smell of disgusting foil death flooded into my twitching nose. My heart started thumping insanely fast as I couldn't have the strength to move one inch of myself to look at this thing that stood right behind me.
Strings of rotten blonde hair tingled down my forehead when a horizon of a pale, distorted face with eyes leaking black ink came into view, his rotten knotted hair tangled past his boney face structure as the veins in his head popped out onto the skin with the darkest black I have ever seen. This figure's leaking black eyes reached my pink skin and I started to feel the skin of my face go deeply numb and dry with the stains of black seizing away my lively skin.
His hands were grey and had long sharp nails which were being used to curl around my neck, once his freezing hands fastened around my frozen neck, he began to squeeze with the intent to murder me and I couldn't do anything when traumatized by disheartening dismay. My throat had a bittering pain from the devilish digging of this monster's blackened sharp nails, I didn't even feel the blood pour down my body because I was just so numb.
"You killed me..." The voice of this monster spoke out with a weakened male voice trapped with insanity, as he spoke his words the horrible smell of his breath touched my face with a clear view of his rotten yellow teeth that were about to plummet at any time.
"Why...did you murder me?..." The boy howled out, twisting his head around with every part of his bones cracking loudly as he tilted his head to get a better view of me. His eyelids never blinked once in the span of what felt like hours of staring at me while stabbing his intense nails into my neck, torturing me for an eternity.
I wanted to answer this thing, but I began to lose all the hope I had left when I felt myself be filled with warmth as my eyes began to shimmer into blackness with my body becoming a limp corpse that was dying. It was when I met her again, I met her again...
Wait...Did I meet her again?
I questioned myself if I was just becoming insane when I saw a glimpse of my sister's small layout kick off this monster that was about to kill me with an unknown force of a shockwave banging against my eardrums as Althea's eyes glowed bright blue into my discoloured vision.
"Aaron!" My sister's angelic voice echoed with shattered sadness.
Ah...my sister's voice...was always this amazing to hear.

The Voice of the World
Jason Elric used to be an ordinary college student living in the heart of San Francisco. He had a part time job, he played online games with friends he got along moderately well with, and he earned reasonably good grades. The worst he really had to worry about in life was turning in his coursework on time and not being late to class. Now, though? Now fighting for his life and running from a horde of giant frogs that want to make him their next meal is just another Tuesday. Thanks to a summoning ritual gone terribly right, Jason has found himself trapped in a world eerily similar to the role playing games games he used to play for fun. Unfortunately for the now ex-college student, everything happening around him is terrifyingly real and if he wants to survive, he’ll have to figure out how to exploit the system for his benefit before it’s too late. The Voice of the World is the first part of what is planned to be a multi-book, Isekai LitRPG story with crafting elements, set in the fantasy world known as Verdania. This is my first time posting online for public consumption, so bear with me as I work to find a style that people like. While I may occasionally write scenes that may deal with heavy concepts, expect this story to be primarily light hearted high fantasy. There will be a lot of common fantasy tropes involved, as this story got its start as a simple practice exercise, rather than any plan to actually post it. However, it’s grown on me, so I felt it’s worth sharing after all. Thus, if you’re looking for more serious/original/unusual stories, you might want to look elsewhere. For the rest of you, feel free to leave suggestions, as well as to point out grammar and spelling mistakes; I’ll do my best to make edits to correct them. I do my own editing currently, and it’s easy to miss things when you know what’s supposed to be there, so such call outs are highly encouraged. Content TLDR: No harems, probably no romance (unless it makes sense for the story later on) (it did, eventually), definitely no sex (keeping this PG-13 or close to it), limited profanity. Does/Will contain mixes of magic and technology (think Warhammer, Final Fantasy); copious amounts of blue tables; race, gender, and sexual equality concepts; crafting sequences; and (slightly, but not overbearingly) strong protagonists. If you don’t like these things, go elsewhere instead of downvoting people for content instead of writing quality. Update Time currently varies, due to personal injury, but the goal is 1/week on Wednesdays, with a possible smaller chapter on weekends if time/health permits.

Charlotte Powers: Diary of a Would-Be Superhero
The journal of a girl who thinks she knows. (Spoiler: She does not know.) "...an odd combination of stream-of-conscious anxieties and high-flying save-the-world goals written by an overzealous, naïve teenaged girl in her wristwatch computer diary."-readers are better at describing stories than the writers who wrote them "When it's over you look up: the world looks the same, but you are somehow different and that feeling lingers for days."-bit OTT but I'll take it "...everything cannot just be good and then be even more good, in this story, right?"-100% accurate assessment "...the plot was bland and the character uninteresting. It was just a very dull read. I cannot recommend this book to anyone."-oh well can't win them all Discord for discussion. Complain about Charlotte's nonsense! Ship the characters! Do a thing! Now entering the second arc, Power Play. Things are getting serious. We're heading towards something important. Charlotte is still largely clueless. But she is trying so hard.

Noble
"Then, let joyous news be delivered to those who pass their lives in peace, For it takes only one twist of fate to throw their lives upside down And for those who unfortunate enough to encounter the whims of fate, Let it be reminded to them, that even their lives repeat a hundred times..." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lys Ravenlicht was no hero, nor was he a brave man. He was someone who had the better things in life and figured that he'd tread upon the path his late father had prepared for him as an appointed noble and a politician in his home country and he had no business whatsoever of being a hero. And yet, it took only one twist, one twist of fate, before all plans he had laid out for the rest of his life went down the tubes. Join him as he traverse the lands of Fymia, where the arcane had faded into the annals of time and yet persist in the most mundane of things. And as he found himself dragged deeper into a catastrophic series of events that would change his perception of the world, and the course of history for the world itself... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author's comments: The story was meant to be a satire of the Japanese animanga tropes.... until it got out of hand to the point I'm not sure it's a satire anymore. I hope you can find enjoyment in it nonetheless.
